BlueFairy Shiny Fairy/(MW) Junior body discussion part 1

It's awesome that BF is fulfilling so many people's wishes by releasing 1st May again! But as limedragon pointed out (currently trying to read the Sora*Iro page with Google Translate xD), the timing of this release is quite the interesting coincidence indeed!

Yes, congrats to those who are bringing home the 1st and 2nd Mays!

It's strange that even though only the first two versions of May are being discontinued, for some reason, they're including 3rd May in this "farewell" preorder as well... 3rd May will be sold regularly in the future, too, right? :/ Plus, rather than NS or WS, I think I'd be ecstatic if they ever release SFs in baked skin! A tan SF May boy would be irresistible! 33

 

limedragon, ah, I understand now! I was looking all over the Bluefairy site, trying to find the WS option . I can't describe how happy I am that I have a chance to own 1st May - she's always been on my list, but kept being put off in lieu of limiteds. Little did I know that Bluefairy is going to discontinue her. I've been, politely, hounding them ever since the announcement to re-release her one last time. I'm so happy that they did!

Bonberry, I am quite surprised that the 2nd May is being discontinued. She hasn't been out even a year. Actually, I think the 1st May was discontinued, and 2nd May was released sometime in April of this year. I bet the 2nd May didn't sell as well as Bluefairy hoped.

I like the 3rd May as well, and if I didn't have the option of getting 1st May, I'd be happy with the 3rd. But, one more chance at getting the little May of my dreams is very exciting! Now, I just need a mini-May, and I'll have my own little May army .

 

Oo, I am definitely liking 3rd May. I wanted a second SF May, a girl to go with my original 1st SF May boy, Luka, but wasn't that keen on 2nd May. But now the choice, 1 or 3? Oh well, it won't be any time soon for me right now as I think I will have to leave off any further dolly buying for a while. Perhaps when I get around to buying my TF Robin boy (boyfriend for my TF May girl as per my daughter's request) I might try to get my little SF May girl at the same time. I have until then to make up my mind.

 

Anna, A little May army would be darling!! 3 I wonder, too, if poor sales is the reason why BF is discontinuing 2nd May? Besides, a lot of fans did clamor for 1st May's re-release when she was suddenly replaced without notice last year. Actually, does anyone on DoA own a 2nd May? I don't remember seeing any real owner's photos of her! ^^;

JenKat, If you already have the original 1st May, I'd say go for the 3rd! They're similar enough to be siblings, yet different enough that you wouldn't feel guilty for double-dipping! xD

I'm glad that BF is giving us a preview of 3rd May during this "farewell" sale. Without those pics of 3rd May (whom I prefer... third time's a charm, right?), I'd have jumped impulsively on 1st May in panic mode! ^^;; This at least gives me some time to decide and to save up for him.

 

That was what I've been thinking...there is enough similarity without them being too much of a "matching pair"...plus it would be nice to see the 2 versions of May side by side I think.

I am still hoping that BlueFairy brings back the sleeping May head sculpts for the PocketFairy & TinyFairy lines, as well as releasing one for the ShinyFairy line too. May's head sculpt style makes for the most perfect dreaming / sleeping child. I'm sad that all the sleeping heads have gone!

JenKat: Actually Bluefairy are discontinuing the sleeping molds. After the ones in the Last Order section are sold out they will become limited only, see this notice: http://bluefairyint.com/board/view.php?board_name=DREAMBOARD4&ID=230

I don't know why they are marked as available soon but if you want one it would be best to ask BF now if you can buy one.

 

Oh well, I guess I'll have to keep my eye out for the limited sleeping head releases then
My fault for not keeping track of all the goings on at BF lately. The last time I had checked things out until recently was when the first versions of May's head sculpt for SF & TF were discontinued. It was only when checking out Soom / Neo AngelRegion for something recently with my daughter that we came across TF Robin so we popped over to the BF site to find out more...and hence I learned of SF May version 3 and the re-release of 1 for a limited time.

 

There will be at least one May V2 on DOA now, because I just send Bluefairy the payment for mine!

 

Awesome, angelcallie! I'd like to see more Shiny Fairies out there in general. TFs need more tiny siblings and things X3 !

May V1 was the one sculpt that I definitely wanted in my collection, but I was in woe at their discontinued state, so hearing about the rerelease was like a miracle. I was so excited when xaya posted about it, and I immediately told myself I -had- to order one, even if I've been spending too much on dolls lately XD . But then lo and behold, they also reveal a THIRD May type?!

I ended up liking the third type too--and then I eventually convinced myself that I should be more patient and just get the third May later... Mngh, but I'm still not sure if it was the right choice, and it's too late now to regret -sigh- . (I'll probably end up regretting anyway, because that's the kind of person I am, gack.) Maybe I'm just going through an... anti-buyer's remorse @_@ ? Well, I can't wait until they release May V3 in their normal line-up and I can see a bunch more pictures of it dressed up and stuff!

I know I definitely want to add a SF to my collection eventually, as a little sibling or something to my Dalia probably, and May is a must (V1 or V3). But I also always wanted twins, and having cute fraternal SF twins sounds ADORABLE. The twin candidate would probably be Hana, because 1. Hana has super-cute round wide eyes and a happy smile and 2. having twins who both have open mouths is too awesome.

One day, it will happen! One day...! Just not today. And probably not too soon. T_T

I'll just watch you guys and be all envious and stuff.

Congrats to everyone who's getting the original May (and the second May too)!

Even though third May is so similar to the first, I seem to like the third better, which is odd because May's never been my most favourite BF sculpt and both 1&3 are so similar. Maybe May is growing on me or I have a case of "new is always better"? Either way, I love that Bluefairy let everyone have a chance at the old Mays. It's really nice of them.

almyki - Haha! I know those feelings (non buyer's remorse, all the wants). I've always had this idea in the back of my head that having fraternal SF would be awesome, particularly Andy and Paul twins. One would be the worry wart (Paul) and the other would be the grumpiest of grumps (Andy).

 

Oh dear... I keep missing the chance to get the dolls that I like, I just saw the special ordering of SF May a few minutes ago, but missed it by 3 days...

 

Ah I check up on the site just in time to see so many people awaiting their Mays. Congratulations to all of you!

Ben whats to say "Hello again" and show off his new scarf.... Yeah even in the summer Ben seems to really like scarves. It might be his trademark from now on!

 

Agh, is anybody else getting a little impatient for the new May to be released in their normal lines, or is that just me XD ? I want to see, I want to see!

I'm really glad that MinoruWorld is merging their site with Blue Fairy and making the Junior body an 'option part' type deal like the Sugar/Pepper bodies are for Pocket Fairies. At least I'm pretty sure that's how it's gonna' be? But now, I'm thinking instead of SF twins and a Junior doll, I'll get Junior twins with SF heads and a Junior Sleeping Leila with an SF body XD . I hope that those become possible combinations! Though, I would really like the Leila to be White Skin... man, I'm hoping for a lot. XD

I'm excited about the merge, but my bank account isn't!! XD I'd like them to finally release Connie and Sam as choice already!!!

 

I can't tell whether to post this sort of news here, or the Junior thread, or even the TF thread, which seems like the main basecamp thread for all BF-related discussion XD . But the latest announcement on the BF site has me excited! Did anyone else see? Sounds like some special Junior/SF limiteds to celebrate the merging, and I say about time; the Juniors and SFs don't seem to get nearly the same attention for this kind of thing as the ever-popular TFs =P .

But it also scares me too; if they manage to come out with the ONE DOLL I want in white skin as a limited, I'll have no clue what to do. I'm already tight for cash for my OTHER limited-time preorder @_@ .

Oh no, my wallet is already screaming in terror!! XD If they're in Normal Skin, I'm screwed, but I'm not so much a fan of the white skin, so... we'll have to see!

 

I saw the new limited dolls already.
One of them is a new version of an existing Junior head mold ;D
But I am not allowed to say who :P

BluefairyInt says the choice SF Mays should start shipping out later in the week, too! Hopefully they're able to stick to that, I'm excited so see them start coming in!
