BlueFairy Shiny Fairy/(MW) Junior body discussion part 1

Anna: Thankies! And yayz about your May, I'm sure she's feeling refreshed after her spa visit! My new SF is arriving in a few days, probably on Thursday but she'll get halted at customs as always, so she'll be in my hands at the beginning of next week at the latest. ^^

Yes, my May's wearing Enchanted Doll eyes and my new girl will have them, as well. On the pic I've posted above, May's wearing blue EDs in size 14mm. I did some ED vs. BlueFairy eye comparison shots in this thread last year here and there are more pics of the same brown EDs here. I've very pleased with this size and ED is my fave eye company!

Locksley, thank you very much for elaborating on ED eyes! The 14mm size looks great and doesn't seem to have any gaps. The blue eyes suit your little girl very well

Happy news from me today: Honey's sister, my new SF, arrived today! Instead of getting charged customs fees like always, there were no fees when the new girl arrived! How about that? It feels incredible having saved $119 in fees LOLZ and I can see why customs thought the doll wasn't worth charging over... I got her secondhand on Yahoo!Japan, just like Honey, but she didn't have the default BlueFairy box, she only came wrapped in bubble wrap inside the outer shipping box, and that's it! She was unharmed! I got her nude, with no extras. The seller even removed the attached eyelashes that were on the auction pic, haha, but it doesn't matter. She's wearing brown Enchanted Doll eyes, teeny eyelashes and a temporary Leeke wig in brown now.

I've named her Jemmy because it sounds a lot like "jam" and "honey and jam" is the theme I had in mind for the girls' names. ^__^ Awww. Here's her first pic together with her sister:



Sorry for the bad lighting, the pic was taken indoors. I wanted to sew them matching dresses for their first photo but Jemmy arrived sooner than I've anticipated. She's from the August 2012 pre-order when May 1st was available again for a week. The seller had her for a few months but hardly played with her, she's still kicky like Honey was when I first got her. ^^ A bit of a comparison: My two Mays were made about a year and a half apart, so there's a skintone difference, and my old May is also shinier. Is the new BF resin less shiny or is it simply my old May showing her age? ;D

 

I love everyone's little ones! So many cute Mays on this page, plus an adorable Hana and Connie!

I was restringing Imogen, my version 2 May, the other day. She gave me quite a hard time about it, haha, but now she is nice and sueded and wired so she's a bit more pliant. I also decided to try an outfit on her that was supposed to be meant for another girl, but I'm afraid she may have claimed it. She just looked so sweet and ladylike that I didn't have the heart to take it away from her.

 

I'm waiting for my first Shiny Fairy, a Benjamin I received in a trade. He's shipping to me now. It's been a while since I've had a doll this size so it will be interesting to have one again.

People who have one, do 14mm eyes work best for Benjamin? He's gonna need some special order ED eyes.

So not to just jump in or intrude, but my boy Chase has a MinoruWorld Junior body and I recently bought him some Iplehouse KID clothes and they look pretty great! If anyone wants to see any picture of the fit, just let me know!

 

I have 2 MW jr. Hybrids and finding cute clothes to fit has been tough! I was hoping someone had tried the KID line clothes! Thanks for the info mysteriousracerj. I also just got my shoe order from Debs Adorables on the bay of evil. The Betsy McCall (14") shoes are a great fit, though the converse style ones are a bit baggy. The slimmer addidas looking sneakers look great!

 

His shirt fits really well, and the shorts are fine but the skinny pants are a little baggy cause I guess Juniors have skinner legs? But it still looks pretty good to me!

Wanting to bump this up. I love the photos, I wish there was some more though. I think these guys are so cute! and now with more companies doing 30cm style dolls, I'm hoping this will lead to more clothing for them. I have my MW, but I am waiting to send her off to get her face-up done, It's time to give some love to her XD she's been waiting long enough

 

Spampy makes custom clothing for a variety of sizes but also lists on her website that if someone is willing to send their resin kid on a "vacation" to her she can custom make clothing for that size. I'm planning to use a gift certificate to try that for my guy since finding clothing for him is near impossible.

 

I need to take some more pictures of my two little ones. Juniors are just too cute. As far as clothes for boys, though, I find that some 12 or 13 inch action figure clothes fit my Crispin perfectly. He's wearing a pair of dark jeans and a red hoodie I found on the ebay that were being sold as action figure clothes. There's a name for the figures but I don't recall it right now. I know it was mentioned somewhere in the last thread. I should take some pictures of Crispin in that outfit, because it really does fit him perfectly.

 

Seconding angelcallie's suggestion of 1/6 action figure clothes for Juniors! My Merle's wardrobe is almost entirely comprised of Hot Toys bits and pieces!

 

Small announcement for those who are interested but don't know, Sora*iro will be selling May 1st and May 2nd boys and girls, and Hana 1st boys and girl heads in their 'webshop' hope those who have missed out before can grab one this time around! They are 'last order' dolls.
