I'm sure it comes with the strings and hooks and all, but you'll probably need to get some wire or ribbon to do the stringing with.

Wee, my SF May came this morning!

Lokinta Yes there's another thread where these girls are discussed, as Minoruworld doesn't exist anymore, and the dolls are now sold at Bluefairy. And considered Shiny Fairy's So you can also discuss them there. I think it would be better if these threads would merge. As now it's just confusing where to post your doll. Just a heads up shinyfairy people, I think there's a limited Leila valentine on the way (photo on the Bluefairy instagram page). They seem to keep putting their limited dolls on Jr bodies much to my annoyance, lets see what that do this time!

Ooo what dolls?? I'm actually hoping to get a Junior soon from that MinoruWorld Facebook page LE list you shared. But I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for a response on if I can get it or not! I really, really hope I do though. Along with that doll, who shall remain a secret until I know for sure, I've got a tan sleeping Leila SF girl on my wishlist. Long shot, right? Hahahaha, I'm hoping they have a tan skin choice event for SFs one day. I will give an arm and leg if I must.

Almyki and Sodabeentjes, I've ordered the new limited Minoru Valentine. She was just so beautiful and adorable, as soon as I had an idea in mind for her, I knew I had to go for her! After all, if I didn't I might never find another YoSD I want enough, I've wanted one so long, but never found the right sculpt for me

 

I don't have a shiny fairy - I've just come in to admire everyone's photos but I noticed that this thread was started in 2010! So very quiet! It's a shame as I think these dolls have an understated beauty about them.

 

The new valentines were pretty! Congratulations on your new one! I know what you mean about wanting a tiny but never finding one you like enough, hahaha. I believe I love the IDEA of a matching tiny to fit into my BJD family, but most tinies don't appeal to me, or it's hard to find clothes that appeal to me. The only SF face sculpt I really love is the May (1st or 3rd). I like Sleeping Leila, but it's not her face sculpt in particular that makes me want to have her. It's just that having a short little BS sleeping child just seems super-adorable, and I need at least ONE SF kid in my plans to wear any YoSD clothes I'd want to get.

And I can now share who my new tiny girl will be! She's from MinoruWorld's Facebook limited postings, and I made a special request which had me very nervous about if I could get it.

Junior Boy Body, White Skin May, White Winter Set. I'm SO STOKED. I even really like the fullset, which is such a relief since the primary reason I'm getting it is for the super-rare sculpt/body/color combo. The last time I had to buy a fullset just for the limited color (BS Kyle, hello), I didn't like anything in the fullset except the shirt and hat. I'm going to assume the fullset I get should be fit to the JR body, including the JR boots instead of the SF boots in the original fullset.

This May was originally a girl body, and the makeup and fullset will all be the same, but I really, really, REALLY needed the boy body. I'm so glad they listened to my request. I must PRAISE this part of BF's customer service and say they have earned some of my loyalty back for this, hahaha. I meant a lot to me. This kid is actually supposed to be gender-neutral; the 'story concept' for my BF dolls is that they are all actually dolls in a fantasy setting, and gender-neutral dolls are common. It's much easier to modify the boy body to be gender-neutral than the opposite, plus I feel the boy body would fit more clothing, hahaha. Though an SF sleeping Leila 'girl' is on my list, I will also view it as gender-neutral.

I'm so excited that there seems to be more JR-size clothes available out there now!

Angell-Studio's ['starry body'] is very similar at 31cm:

Starry body has about:
1.5cm less leg
0.5cm wider shoulders
2cm wider chest circumference
Same waist/hip circumference
Much smaller feet.

I think their feet are to ensure they still fit YoSD shoes (unlike our JR feet, hahaha). I bought the 'Mori Retro Aria' outfit and want to be sure it fits okay. If it does, I also want the matching Gemini outfits! They look like they can fit both SFs and JRs, and it would be so cute if my future SF had a matching set with my May.

Nine9's new ['bunny nine'] is also a 'taller YoSD' body at 35cm:

Bunny Nine has about:
1cm wider shoulders
same chest circumference (non-blossom JR)
1.5cm smaller waist
0.5cm wider hips
1.3cm longer arm (including hand)
about 1cm longer legs
Same feet length (5cm)

I hope this means they can share [shoes] too! I want the loafers and white sneakers! And so many casual clothing options, though they're mainly girl clothes for obvious reasons, hahaha. I want to visit the Nine9 cafe in person and check what fits well!

Lastly, Iplehouse also came out with a 'tall YoSD' with their ['KID' line] at 34.5cm:

KID has about:
1cm wider shoulders
1cm shorter arms (inclding
1cm wider waist circumference
0.7cm wider hips (KID boy) to 1.3cm wider hips (KID girl)
1cm shorter foot

It looks like JRs have rather narrow shoulders compared to others, so it makes me wonder if they'd fit YoSD shirts with no/short sleeves. Anybody have experience with the JR bodies and clothing fit? I really feel like the MinoruWorld Jr and BlueFairy SF thread should be combined now, hahaha.

Congratulations Almyki! I have considered a May so many times, but that face always looks a little too young... I don't know, I'd still consider it, though I've been as specific as you. Just like you I wanted a specific skin colour, body, sculpt etc. I'm usually the sort who likes certain sculpts but just waits to see what limiteds they release, which I guess is what I did, only it's taken a while for me to find one what matches what I want.
So glad for you that you were able to get such a specific doll, you must be over the moon! How many more dolls do you have in your plans, I know about NS Emilie boy of course, but do you have many more left? ^^

Edit: (if I fall totally in love with the SF size I will get WS Leila as a sister for Minoru V...)

Thanks, guys =) . Yay, May spam! Sodabeentjes, if you're the one on the Facebook group who posted that they really wanted that May but were broke... Your post there gave me a lot of panic and worry and sorry to you, but I've never been more glad that someone was broke, hahahaha. The comment seemed a little vague to me, so I worried that the May I wanted was being claimed anyway, hahaha. Well, people in this hobby say things like "I'm broke but I managed to buy it anyway!" all the time, so I panicked if it was like that. I'm so paranoid! XD

I always liked the TF May but thought it was way too young-looking for the body compared to the other dolls I wanted, so I thought the tiny May was perfect. But I really wanted the May to be on JR body and a MW head on the SF body. The SFs and JRs look mostly good together and with TFs, but the JR heads are a bit SMALLER than the SF heads, so I really didn't want that for my doll family. The smaller doll should have the smaller head, hahaha.

Last_bus_home, on my wishlist I have the TF NS Emilie classic boy, a TF WS Louis neo girl, and a SF BS Sleeping Leila 'girl'. This means I've got half down and half to go! And the other dolls are all going to be really annoying to get my hands on, so I need to be sure to have a BF financial reserve for those 'surprises', hahaha. My plans include two of each color type (NS, WS, BS), which is a happy coincidence, as I love resin color variety. With the color differences over time, the two NS will be very different (which I love!) and the BS may be darker or different by then too (which I also love!). It would be nice if I could get a doll in Misty Rose too, but that was only for MW and their JRs, so it was impossible for my collection ^^' .

Anybody do or has done clothing and shoe shopping for Junior bodies here? If there's any advice or good shops to browse, I'd love to know!

Yesterday my sweet little Yaëlle had her first birthday. I remember it well as she came on my brothers birthday ^^
She was my grail doll, a shiny Fairy May 1st version. It took a little while before I completely connected with her, but now I have. I adore her so much
