Just so you know... I had messaged Bluefairy to know when Hana would be released. They told me I could order from the All-Type Choice page, but the Add to Cart button was missing. I messaged them, they fixed the button, so I started filling out the order form, paid a 40% deposit with paypal, but there was no confirmation button. As I was messaging them, the website showed me $120 in shipping costs! So I wrote again, telling therm about the button, and they let me order via their board. Since there is no other option to ship to my country, they offered to send her to me in a smaller box, either strung or unstrung, and pay shipping once they know the actual weight. I chose to receive her unstrung, and will ask friends for help. I hope nothing goes wrong and that they do not forget about my order! Let's see when they get back to me.
Good perseverance and congratulations on your order!! Hana is such a sweet face. My own Hana serves as the perfect shell for my personal favorite character. Energetic, big-eyed, and cheery! I've ordered an unassembled ShinyFairy from Bluefairy before too. They delivered the kit in a small parcel with the body parts divided among a few plastic baggies with cardboard labels, as they would package clothing or shoes. The head had its own box for safe transport. Everything was in perfect condition, except one S-hook that must have escaped the packing before it made it to my home. Assembly is not too complicated, especially if you have a helper, don't worry - you've got this! Excited for you!!
They were so nice. I really hope they do not forget about my order as I did it via their board! The other doll I restrung is a used tinyfairy that ended up having a little damage from it, so I will not go through that unaided this time! She had always been one of my favourite sculpts ever, I hope she gets here fast and without incident!
They're shipping my ShinyFairy Hana soon! And I cannot wait to place an order for the current PocketFairy event, waiting to see if they accept a 5-months layaway for it!
My ShinyFairy Hana came in this morning. I was astonished on how fast they were, and of course that's because they. Forgot. The faceup. EDIT: they got in touch and will send me a replacement painted head, that's excellent customer service!
Awh too bad about the faceup being missed, but that's great of them to commit to making it right for you! What a relief. Hope you will begin bonding with and get a lot of enjoyment from your sweet new arrival for now, even without the faceup. Then it'll be a fun transformation when the replacement comes home! More to look forward to!
I was so very happy about it, I'm so grateful! I will patiently wait for the head to come here, and this means next year I will buy another Shinyfairy body to use the spare head for a different doll project. Beauty White is such a lovely colour and their 27cm size fits exactly what I have in mind! I hope they have an option to buy standalone bodies.
I'm sorry to infest this thread so much but... has anyone recently tried to buy a SF body without head from Bluefairy? I have a plan for the spare head I have once they send me my painted Hana head, but I want an original Shinyfairy body for that - their 1/6 bodies are so lovely and beauty white is such a lovely colour, I don't feel like making a hybrid XD EDIT: I did manage to buy the body - the button on the English site was broken, and I also managed to get myself an older Hana head on Mercari Japan via Buyee. Depending on the level of yellowing, I hope I can match it to Myou resin!
So... in the end I managed to order the boy body directly from the company and ended up buying another old sculpt Hana used from Mercari Japan at a very cheap price, with company faceup. There's some discoloration and a big defect on her belly, which I had not noticed before, but the faceup is still intact. There's some wig staining that the wig perfectly covers. I restrung her myself, gave her a wig and made her a nice dress. I named her Aurelia, Reli for short! ... *cough* before she came in, I also bought a used Pocketfairy from Mandarake AND the other day I found a ShinyFairy May on Mercari complete with her uniform for a very cheap price, I could not leave her there, except in the meantime the airspace closed and I have no way for Buyee to ship it to me XD. I think half of my collection is Bluefairy now XD EDIT: boyfriend just told me he bought me another Pocketfairy XD
