Random question, what other bodies work well for TF heads? I have a Robin head that desperately needs a body but i'm wracking my brain to find something that works. I need something somewhat more immature than a lot of msd dolls these days because it's such a cutesy head, it doesn't really work with the more mature bodies I have available to me.
@purple_monkfish the original/oldschool BF bodies used to be somewhere in between the traditional volks Mini Super Dollfie standard chunky childlike bodies and slim MSDs like MNF and others. Depending on the age of your Robin head, resin matching may be difficult, but Volks MSD or SDM bodies may be closer to what you're looking for! I am away from my dolls atm but I can take a comparison shot in a few days if you'd like, I have two male original BF bodies, one female, and one female oldschool MSD body.
I'm not sure how old the head is. It fit and matched a Luts doll I have, but wigs are still a major issue. The Robin head has a huuuuge forehead lol. Most wigs look a bit wierd.
I just got a shipping notice for the Walking In November outfits. Bro, I straight up forgot I ordered that! Does that seem like it was a long wait for just clothing?
That new outfit is sooooooo pretty . Sometimes Bluefairy just hits my aesthetics. I'd buy that outfit in my size immediately. And that green . So nice. I am super tempted. But it's only LE15. That's not much . The TFs this month are adorable too but luckily I can resist them.
bluefairy thread......... i am asking for your assistance-- does anyone know any faceup artists that emulate the bluefairy default style really well? i really like their defaults, so all of my boys from one story have them (for stylistic consistency) but a few of mine need features like eyebrows that bluefairy won't customize. i can't find estebebe's site anymore for some reason, so if anyone has a link to it anywhere that'd be awesome? ;; i know louis is on IG but he had some proteges iirc that were on the site too.
There’s an IG artist called art_jjanji who does lovely work, and has done quite a few Blue Fairy dolls. Her rate is from $130-160, but it may have gone up since I asked. (I was going to commission her for a Daydream Grace, but I couldn’t figure out how to describe what I wanted, and flaked )
oooh, i do follow her actually! she does beautiful work, and you're right, i think her style looks like an extra luxurious version of the standard faceups? the eyebrows in particular are very much what i'm looking for, that wispy blocky style, it's very attractive, i'll definitely put her on my short list! if not for my bf boys, then definitely for one of my other dolls i wanted to send to estebebe LOL. looks like she might work really fast too, her posts are a bunch of heads only a few days apart, wow..!!
How do you feel about this month's TFs? I really love Jude but I have a suspicion it's mostly the faceup. Sometimes it's so hard to tell whether you're falling for the sculpt or the faceup/styling.
I’m glad we’re seeing previously Limited dolls in the lineup... I really wanted Jude when she came out (but have since cooled off), and it’s nice to know that I didn’t really miss my chance. I do like that Jude has a slightly different look, but not very different from Blue Fairy’s usual style. I’d like to see those harsh makeup kids Aiden and Vino with a tame Blue Fairy standard kind of makeup though!
The new outfit is really cute! New head Yvette and a Rachel V, plus new heels. I like the coral color for the shoes!
