Bo Bergemann Mini discussion part 1

WinonaFlammery, thank you! Well, actually, out of all Bo's dolls Ambriels are my favourite! I simply love the body and the sculpt!

sfbeck, thanks a lot! And congratulations on your Ambriel. If you are not happy with the face-up, you can ask Bo if she could do it for you.

I have finally finished a dress and taken some pictures of my Bree (Isabel).

 

Daisydolls, great photo! This grass-green color really shows off Ambriele's gorgeous skin.

So, is anybody getting the Princesses from the latest offering? New dream doll, Emily, is such a darling, and I've been waiting for her to be offered for a whole... But I'll keep on waiting for a more basic option; these sets are gorgeous but are justice of my price range.

 

mousetail, thanks a lot! She is not Ambriel, though. She is Bree on a Dream Doll body. I am not going to order a new Princess Emily. My first reaction when I saw her was: wow, I really like her! But then, I have a lot of dolls already, and it's the same body again. I'll wait for something totally new! (I secretly hope for a doll on an Ambriel body or, perhaps, even an SD...)

But you don't need to wait for a basic option - there won't be one, I think. You can just write to Bo and ask for a basic doll. It is an option.

 

Daisydolls - I am with you; I need to control the size of my collection at this point, and so I try not to buy more then one sculpt on the same body any more. But then last year I broke this rule a couple of times so I could have broken it for Emily as well. Thank you for your suggestion to just ask for her in basic edition!

 

mousetail, well, that's the thing! I have so many dolls (lot's of non-BJDs, too) that I simply can't get too many dolls on the same body. Much as I wanted Ambriel in Pink Shimmer, I didn't get her in the end as she would be my third Ambriel...

Bo, thank you! So wonderful to finally see you here!! And congratulations on your dolls being allowed on DoA! Yes, I have seen your new girls - they are gorgeous as ever! I especially like the blue-eyed red-haired beauty in pink dress. She was the one I fell in love at first sight, and I am struggling the temptation at the moment!

 

DaisyDolls, I've seen your Bergemann dolls on other forums, but wherever they are found, they are simply stunning. Love the outfits!
WinonaFlammery, I understand your rule of not repeating bodies or sculpts, but Emily is so beautiful that she's hard to resist.
DollBelle, your Ambriel is lovely and makes me want to redo the face up on mine.

I just realized I've posted pictures of my two Belles and my Sophie, but I've neglected poor Emma. So here she is!

She is so beautiful! Very different from the dolls I collect, but now I'm intrigued.

 

I am so excited that Bo's dolls are on-topic. I guess I am not on here often enough that I missed it. I just pre-ordered Poppy in White from her 2013 line and she will look so cute holding my Addie. I also ordered the Precious Babyfat Twins in purple, Emmie & Ella. I would LOVE to see more babyfat owner photos. They look so stink'in cute.

Sharlene, your Sophia is GORGEOUS in her cowgirl outfit.

 

I have Emily on preorder and can't wait for her to arrive so Emmie will have a big sister. I also have a Sugar but haven't taken any pictures of her yet.

 

I recently took bo's Beginners BJD class at IDEX in Florida (april 11th, 2013). I have to say that I thought I knew at least a little about BJD"s, well this class let me know I only knew a minute fraction. Her class went over how to build a doll, how to pose her, seated, standing, even how you need to twist her arms and legs around to create poses. We got a wonderful instruction book that has those poses included in case a person forgets. the book also included other things from the class as well as things not covered in class, such as face-ups.

we also learn about putting on wigs, changing out eyes, products to use. When we were done, we dressed our little beaties, and I have to say, I was really looking forward to taking this class and it was way above my expectations. If you ever have a chance to take bo's class, jump on it. Well worth the price.

 

I am a very poor photographer but I adore my two dolls by Bo (and now I'm waiting for the third one)
So don't be too strict with me

I am loving all of Bo's dolls here! I love Bo's work. I have made wigs for her special editions, I feel so honored to be working with her. Currently I have Poppy on order, a Bella (Ramona) and Ambriel (Makani). They certainly are addictive. I think I love them because of first the faces, and second because the bodies are so great. I will put in the set of Ramona's flickr link, you can see her standing on her head.

Here's a photo of my Ambriel, which I found on the secondary market. She needs a new face up, when I can get to it! I've redressed her since this picture, so I'll post an update sometime soon.

 

That is such a cute outfit! Where did you get it?

 

I got the outfit on eBay, though unfortunately I can't remember the seller. It was made for Ellowyne Wilde... that I do remember! By the way, Stella, my Little Miss Sunshine arrived today and I absolutely love her wig! You do such great work!
