Bobobie and Resinsoul Discussion - Part 11!!

I'm currently taking apart my 60cm girl and is wondering if anyone's sanded down the arm notches where they hold her arms out? They make the shoulders sit oddly when down and don't let for much stable movement since the notch makes sueding difficult.

This is my Heng hybrid, I just finished his face up. He’s my Tiefling paladin of Silvanus, Lichen, and he’s been my quarantine project. I got the head here secondhand, and he’s on a Miro body I bought from a friend whose hybrid plans with it didn’t work out. He’s been dyed tan with Rit DyeMore and was quite the leap back into the hobby.

 

I definitely just impulse bought a Rui! I told myself when I bought Talamir (Yi) a couple years ago, he was my last doll. For storage space reasons. As well as that meant my current cast of characters are all shelled. But now that I'm working on him more, he seems so lonely! What's one more right?! Everyone needs a friend and I absolutely must have a male AND female dragon

 

I didn’t see on the RS website, could anyone with a Rui please tell me what size eyes she takes? Thanks!

Hey guys, sorry if this has already been asked, but I was wondering if anybody knows which clothes will best fit the 72 cm body/ Heng? I have ordered and he should be in Thursday, but being a 72, wasn't sure if anybody had a close idea. Thanks so much!

 

Has anyone done resin matching via sending a pic? How accurate was the final product vs the picture?

 

I made Damien a new out fit today, but he would not hold still, it was frustrating as he kept knocking the football to the ground, I noticed his arms get disjointed rather easily.... could it be I need to tighten his stringing? It's hard to get his head on so I figured the strings were tight, but the elbows keep going wonky.... anyways, picture...

The arm issues sound like the elastic needs to be thicker, not tighter. I string all my dolls with the thickest elastic I possibly can (usually 5mm on the SDs) which provides enough friction that they generally don't need any sueding or wiring to be able to hold poses (or stand, for example)

Guys I don't have the money, I have hospital bills, I desperately need a body for a floating head of mine, I have unfinished/bald/naked dolls staring at me...but here I am trying to keep myself from emailing Sun about putting Rui on boy body and getting them in grey (or maybe purple????).

 

I can't speak for their normal grey or purple much as I don't own those colours but I have seen them in person and they are very nice. If you want a light tone but not white or something a bit unusual they'd be great. Their dark grey is gorgeous in my opinion and I do have one of those (he's OT size-wise for this thread). No marbling, no visible seams/sanding and no noticeable change in colour after 9 years. If he has changed colour it's utterly even. If you want the dark grey, you just request it when you email Sun.

 

Purely asking out of curiosity, but has anyone made a hybrid with any of Resinsoul's 60cm girl heads and a Doll Chateau body? I'm specifically thinking of the Y-06 body.

 

Hello again everyone! Im thinking about getting a different body for my victor. He is currently on a yi body, and its just to big. I found this body here:
RESINSOUL--1/3 boy body but it doesnt have a height. Anyone know? Or am i just blind? Also is their resin color pretty consistant throughout batches? His head is blushed to match, so id like to know if itll be close. I dont care if its exact, just close. Thanks!

 

@lividdarkangel On page 23 of this thread there's a link to a pic of both bodies side by side. While it's not a measurement, it at least gives a sense of scale!

 

Thank you! That does help a lot actually. Sadly it looks like his neck is way to small for my hybrid. I did find a good body on bobobie though. its a few cm shorter than I want, but its better than him being just way to tall. Resinsoul dark tan is the same as bobobie dark tan right?
