Bobobie and Resinsoul Discussion - Part 11!!

I just wired my Mu's arms and WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG?? He no longer slaps himself in the face, I can actually pose his arms, and everything is just better! I love him even more all over again.

I also really wish that they'd make a 65-70cm version of the Mu body. My boy is supposed to be beefy and he looks awfully small next to the other dolls in his crew. I don't think I could hybrid his legs on another body...and I don't really have any other (affordable) options for a hoofed body. I'd have to dye a soom body and they're wayyyyy outside my price range.

EDIT:
If anyone has the Long body or the 72cm body I'd love it if someone could measure the circumference around the leg ball? I'm now debating if I could hybrid the Mu legs on with some modding. I want to see if I can beef him up! I'd like both body's measurements if possible!

 

I have the 70cm body! I lost my measuring tape, but if you’d like, I can send you the measurements once I find or replace it. I will warn that it is a somewhat oddly proportioned body and a lot of the height is in the legs, so hybriding different legs might make it significantly shorter.

Speaking of which, I just bought the Long head for it! It’s enjoying a retirement from its long months of test body for homemade heads, now that I’ve decided to stick to smaller scales. He’s going to be my vampire boy

Found the tape while cleaning! Looks like it’s 14cm. To make sure I measured in the right place, here’s a picture:

 

Hybriding sounds awesome however there is a big difference between the Mu (60cm) and Long (70cm) body.here is a comparison of Mu(human body), 70cm and 45cm. I no longer have Long so can't do a more close up for you, but Mu is about 12.3cm. I mean with modding anything might be possible good luck. The 70cm body is still pretty thin overall, I do know the 72cm is a bit beefier than the 70cm. I'll post a photo in another post since it's 1 photo per post.

ok so if you haven't see a comparison here is the 70cm vs 72cm. I've been tempted to get a 72cm but have sworn off new SD dolls, they are just too big for me personally..lol. With the 72cm body I'd be curious if maybe Soom legs would fit I know there are several hooved legs out there.

 

Does anyone know the wrist circumference? I need to know if other companies' hands will fit on this doll.

@marron Thank you, that's absolutely perfect! I don't mind him being a bit too short as much as I mind his shoulders being too narrow! Here he is next to a friend, and their size difference should be swapped haha.

@Kitty Blue Thanks so much for the pictures! I really want him 72 cm but getting him red is the issue with other company bodies. I bet I could mod some Soom legs, but they're pricy, relatively difficult to find, and the wrong color.

I wonder if I could message Sun and ask if there's any plans for a large hooved body?

 

If the hooves are the biggest irritation, maybe you could mod the feet into hooves? Cut or sand the toes off, then bulk up with clay? Printed feet would potentially work too as a mod...

 

Chiming in here far too late, I've had a 2nd-hand light tan Resinsoul Long for probably 2 years now, maybe more?
I'm wondering if we have a "What fits Resinsoul 70cm boys?" thread somewhere, I thought there was one but I can't seem to track it down. I want to get him some new clothes, but I have no clue where to start...and I don't know how to sew yet

 

I don't know if this helps that much, but my Long body could share clothes with my Dollshe Saint before I modded it

Just was wondering about the Heng man . How does he stand? will he stand on his own?
I want to get him in dark blue as I want to make him into Thrawn from Star Wars.

I Have Governor Pryce already. So I've been looking for a Chiss to be her man.lol
Resinsoul has the colour and the height I need as my GP is 61 cm tall . So I need him to be taller then her. He fits the Hight just wanted to know how he stood and if anyone had pictures of 72 cm body or boy standing on their own.

 

my experience with Heng is he is very sturdy,sitting on the other hand is an issue but with some good wiring/sueding it will be fine.

Oh, also! I just ordered a Resinsoul Ai on the 60cm human boy body, "normal" skin, no horns. He's gonna be the twin brother of my Resinsoul Ai human girl, Camden!
They're elves, so I figure I can mess with the rules of genetics a bit, and call them "identical twins".

Well, I've decided that when I get my tax refund I'm going to order my Mu a larger body. I know Resinsoul is so great with custom orders, I'm going to try to order the 72cm body with the Mu legs. He'll be short but buff. I can handle that. Unless they're willing to make longer hoofed legs (and what price that would be!). I'll ask to modify the neck as well to fit his smaller head, because it's big enough for that body, just not in the neck! I'm not sure what I'll do with his old body, bit we'll see!

 

I'm considering splurging a bit and getting a doll for one of my characters but I'm not quite sure which face suits her better. Originally I was thinking Ling, but now I'm wondering about Chun or Ke. Could anyone share photos of their faces? My character is clever, unconventional (for her setting), and... smirk-y, so I'm looking for a face that could suggest that.

Also, which bodies are default these days? Part of why I originally thought Ling was for her body, but also because her company faceup in the photos on RS's site suggest a tiny smirk. I want whatever doll I get to be 68cm and double jointed, preferably with peanuts rather than those annoying cup joints my MSD RS girls have.

 

Is Heng the head that goes on the buffiest 72cm body? I ordered one of those a couple of months ago, could you say what causes the trouble with sitting? Thanks

 

heng and yi are the 72cm standard heads.
the problem is that the back goes back worth instead of foreword.

I'm sorry, I didn't get notification that there was an answer @sylvesther , but thank you so much for the information. I'm really excited about getting this body. I'll be putting my DF-A SuSu head on it. I got that during an event and just plan on blushing it to match the body. I hope I can do a good job! I can't believe RS finally made a decent chunk of a human that doesn't look so skinny!

And tonight, I just bought 2 more RS bodies, but minis, so I'm going down a RS rabbit hole again after over 10 years ugh! Like I need to do that They make it far too easy!
