Bobobie and Resinsoul Discussion - Part 11!!

You're so welcome I really do love this body, if it wasn't for the long forearms I would be using this for all the hybrids Maybe I can convince RS to do it as a paid mod in the future

Seconding this request! Been eyeing him as well and am very curious if anyone here has owner pics as of yet or if everyone is still waiting on theirs.

 

He is a nice sculpt!! Sadly I can’t help you guys on the pics, but I have another resinsoul question. I know they do mods like 4 and 6 armed bodies, adding and subtracting elf ears, smoothing abs and a smaller bust on the 60cm. I think? I’ve seen the even do a 2 headed torso? But have any of you ever asked for a “female chest” on one if their male bodies, and has that been something they could do?

Askin because I have a really strong girl who’d look awesome on the 72cm body, but I need her in a hard resin colour to colour match mods to…

 

I've never heard of RS saying no to a modding request, they usually respond with how much they'd charge to do the mod. Sun is super nice and it never hurts to ask. As soon as I'm allowed to drive again (treacherous elbow) I'm going to HD to match a floating head I've got to a Pantone color so I can order the grab bag of parts I need to finish off this doll I've had 2/3 complete for ages

 

@Chameleon They did modify one of the 1/4 bodies (I think it was the Tang body) for @Kitty Blue

I just asked them about less muscle definition on the 1/3 boy body, they sent me a picture of a new softer boy body.

I got a DHL shipping notice from Hong Kong. Should I assumed is my second resin soul body? I haven’t got any email from them telling me the body was shipped and that’s the only thing outside the states that I’m waiting for. Also it has been exactly two months since I order and that was their estimate shipping time :p

Thank you so much for that Yi body pic! I was eyeing it for a head I have and if I can get it with the smooth abdomen that would be perfect!

 

The Yi with the smooth abdomen looks beautiful. I like it better than the abs abdomen

You're welcome I like the smooth version so much more than the regular version since I want a softer and less Hulk-like look for most of my characters

Yeah, for this character I think the smooth abdomen will work better, since he's supposed to be a tall and lean vampire (as opposed to some of my bigger and buffer shapeshifters hehe). I'm gonna end up with a different body for each of my boys at that height, so it's nice to have some variety.

 

Spent most of the day with Marjorie today, finally dared to restring her, probably need to do it again, but she can stand on her own now so I'm calling it a win. Snapped a couple of pictures, quite fond of this one of her and I twinning.

Still switching her 3 wigs around trying to pick a favorite. Still need to find just the right one.

 

What sculpt is she? She’s beautiful!!!

 

She's a Resinsoul Mi, she was my first SD sized doll(I have 2 now) and I fell in love with her from owner pics and videos and even then I had no idea how pretty she really is. Her face and body sculpting is so beautiful. At the risk of sounding like a creeper I spent a while admiring the lines of her body after restringing her earlier.
It blows my mind how cheap she was with how stunning her face and body are. Resinsoul really deserves more love.

 

They really do deserve more credit/love. Their photos are not the best and really don't show off how lovely the sculpts are. The company face-ups are very nice, too, for an insanely low price. And the colours... don't get me started on those. For someone like me who is heavily addicted to coloured resin it's wonderful (and wickedly tempting). If I thought their hands would fit on one of my ID51's, I'd get a pair in translucent dark grey resin so they'd line up with how I've written him in-story.

I currently have 5 RS boys (3 tinies, 2 MSD) and I'm looking forward to getting Qayin his body (he'll be on the Mu body). Hopefully that'll happen before this year ends but I've had several dolls jump the que on him as they were of the now/never type to buy. Good thing he's so patient.

 

I have two Bobobie tinies but when I opened Marjorie, she was my first Resinsoul doll and I was blown away. Don't get me wrong I love my tinies and the way they were sculpted as far as aesthetic goes, but the difference between the level of detail between the two companies is quite a bit and not all of that is because of size.
Already eyeing the website again to see which will be my next, though unless I go tiny it might be a while til I can squeeze someone into the budget.

 

Oh she’s a mi!! She’s so pretty! Did RS do that lovely faceup or did you get someone else to?

also that is such a pretty body! Especially the hands in my opinion

 

Her face-up is by Resinsoul though I think I added the lashes. I think they really did a good job and the price is unbelievably good when compared to most other companies.
I will probably add some personal touches to her face-up eventually but I've not had the stars align in my favor when it comes to working on face-ups but I'm determined to get at least some painting done before winter puts a damper on things.
Yes her hands are beautiful. I have a pair of jointed hands for her but I find myself keeping these ones on her more.
