    1. I didn't see any discussion of Bonbon's bjd, so I decided to make a thread for people to reference and discuss. :cool:

      The dolls look very cute and I noticed the bodies look well sculpted and posable. :3nodding: I read some user reviews and pictures on TB and the boy body is praised for being a good poser, with good range of motion in the elbows. There's a picture showing he can hug his knees, and in the promo photos it looks like he can touch his face pretty well and do other things.

      For the girl body, she has received overall praise with some light critique. Apparently she also has a good range of movement and her limbs can be placed in inbetween positions and hold them without snapping (between unbent, 90 degrees bent, and fully engaged double joint for those who are unfamiliar). However, a user mentioned something to the effect of the body not being able to hug her knees, I think? It has also been mentioned that the chest joint has decent range of movement but not the best, and there has been some dissatisfaction with the knees without specification.:huh?:

      Does anyone here own one of the dolls or doll bodies? Are you interested in getting anything from Bonbon Galaxy?

      Second resin comparison picture has Bonbon resins on top and I believe obitsu white (left) and obitsu normal (right) on the bottom.

      Based on Q&A with pictures I have found on TB:
      Bonbon's white resin should be close to or matching Mia white.
      Bonbon normal does not match Mystic Kids normal pink; Bonbon is darker and more saturated. It also doesn't match DF-A pink. DFA looks more dull/beige and yellow undertoned next to Bonbon normal. I think there is also a comparison to Mia pink which doesn't match. It is also "not quite" like soom's normal.

I have the boy body ordered with a head I bought from Mydollection (who btw also sells them), I'll get it sometime later this year or early next year but I'll post pictures once it's here :) don't order from them, they're turned into a scammer and I'm likely never seeing my order from them. See thread here for more info and safe yourself from any disappoinment and money loss.

    5. @ElectricMauve Same, I love the detailed hands and the sculpting of the legs. It's nice to have more options among minis that have more detailed and elegant sculpting, especially hands that are not child like. Just going off of the promo pictures, the body kind of reminds me of the long soul body in terms of poseability, just the thigh joints in the Loongsoul have multiple ridges in the joint to lift the leg at different angles instead of completely engaged or completely disengaged. I think the posing shouldn't be too bad and it's hard to find a body that has a good balance between the posing you want and the aesthetics you want.

      @digi Awesome, added to the dealers list. I'm looking forward to pictures of your hybrid! :D I'm interested in the boy body too for an artist head.

      @MariSunshade The mermaids are so so cute, but they are actually discussed here since the current thread is for the mini 1/4 scale bjd!

    7. I just recently ordered the boy Ivar from this company through "Alice's Collections", when I asked them if they would help me with his order. I have not ordered anywhere else yet, so I was very happy that they helped me with that.
      I will be happy to write here the approximate time of ordering so that others can know how long it takes for the doll from this company to arrive. That is, when it arrives at my house, of course. ^^

      She is so cute, I was tempted to get her, but I always have trouble bonding with my littles for some reason :sweat

      Akane looks beautiful, but I'm also not very used to 1/6 size with BJD. That's why the two I had at home went into the world and they are much better. They were with me for a long time and I couldn't figure out a Face up for them, but the new owners got them right away and they are magical, but they were other companies.

I immediately fell in love with Ivar when I saw him and immediately thought about how to actually get him, but I had never ordered through another dealer and was afraid of making a mistake. However, as soon as I get it, I will certainly make a profile for him here and also give information on how long it took to deliver it. :kitty2

    13. Has anyone gotten their orders from this company and how long did it take overall? I'm unsure if the issue is with Bonbon Galaxy or Mydollection but I'm still waiting for the body and starting to get a little bit frustrated with it :sigh it should have been ready around November (so I was initially told) but was postponed again and again and last update was that it should be ready for shipping after Chinese New Year but you probably guessed it already, it's still not ready. I know these things take their time since everything is made to order but it has taken much longer than originally estimated and I'm starting to get a bit sour about the whole thing.

    14. The problem is probably with MyDollection... They seem to be getting a reputation for being quite unreliable unfortunately. You can read more about problems people have been having with them on this thread.

      I ordered the off-topic Catfish (fullset with body painting and faceup) and Orca (blank) through Legenddoll and got them in 4 months.

    15. Bonbon Galaxy has a new body: weibo
      It's on sale on Legenddoll and taobao so far, comes with some event extras and a reduced price. It's a little different from the normal girl body but there is no new head yet - I wonder what their plans are for it?

    16. Interesting! I wonder if it's going to replace the first 1/4 body. I noticed they didn't change the feet posing at all during the different pose demonstrations at the end, so I'm wondering if they forgot or if the ankles have less mobility than the wrists (but I feel like they forgot, haha).

    17. @aestellica - I think they forgot as there seems to be at least a little mobility there judging by the sales listing photos? I wonder if the ankles have the neat s-hook system the hands have, though.

    19. Based on swatches from other companies, Mia white is darker and more like a skin colour than Luts white which is more of a recognizably white shade.

      EDIT: Where is my brain? I don't remember of Bon bon white is supposed to be like Mia white or not!

      Edit to avoid double posting: I asked Alice's if they'll also take part of the event as they deal for them but was told "they'll put the new body up in a few days when BonBon releases it" so I guess not? In case it's useful information for anyone.
