Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     1. They must be awesome, because I find myself watching them a lot and have no idea why! X_X But yeah, I usually only watch those of sculpts that I am interested in. Although sometimes I find myself watching them just because I love to see the reaction of someone unboxing something they have waited so long for and care so much about.

    3. I don't personally find them intriguing but I can totally see it being a cool thing to show a friend who doesn't understand what BJDs are all about or for a newcomer eagerly awaiting their first doll wanting to see another with the same sort of excitement or anticipation.

    9. I like shorter box openings (not the ridiculously long video one,s though). For me it helps to see what the doll looks like compared to a person, and what I can expect it to look like out of the box.

    10. I love box openings! I don't watch too many videos, I used to, but ever sense I joined DOA I stopped watching them and started looking at the photos more. I also really love when they turn it into a photo story, but I don't care for them when it's not the box opening but just photos of the doll after it's dressed and the face-up is done (if they got it blank). I love looking at photos of dolls, but to me that belongs in the general photos of dolls, not in the box openings, because they're not opening their doll.

    12. I'm not very interested in the video ones, but it's pretty easy to quickly skim through a simple photo box opening, and the photostory ones can be pretty fun too! Mostly I'm interested in seeing them for a doll or company I might be interested in but not completely sure on yet, to see what the doll looks like fresh from the box. (Or for a limited or new mold as they start appearing.) It's just a lot harder to skim past and get to the meat of the thing in a video version, and I can't always get a good solid look at the doll itself, either, so I find them uninteresting.

    14. I actually love box openings. I love seeing the joy people get over getting a new resin buddy! I like to watch videos and look at pictures, people are just so happy to have them get there.
      It also helps me see how certain dolls look in an enviroment, which lets me get my "aha!" moment.

    15. I love box openings, they are what got me through the long wait for my doll. I usually watch them on youtube because sometimes photo stories bore me. However, I find it really annoying when people ramble on about nothing or take years to open the doll in a video. Another thing is when they just film them selves the entire time, rather than the doll. I usually skip around the videos just to see the interesting parts. I like seeing peoples reactions and how different companies package their dolls.

      Just knowing the thrill of your new doll is exciting for me. It's like the one posting or filming it is inviting me to be a part of something they love. I just can't bring myself to smile when you see that first little glimps of the face. :D

    19. I adore box openings. I'm not really so sure about what it is that attracts me - probably a combination of getting to see the doll outside of company photos and getting to share a little bit of that person's enthusiasm and excitement! Probably most strongly the latter - my favourite box openings are ones for someone's first doll, something about that whole experience is just really happy to me.

      Having said that, I do prefer threads for dolls I want to own, I find photostories boring most of the time and would never watch a video longer than 5 minutes orz
