1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. I enjoy box openings, if I'm bored I'll browse that area of the forum more often that I will gallery threads!
I think I like to live vicariously through others. Can't own all the dolls, but can pretend!~

    2. I love them! I make them for every doll. I really love seeing people get the doll they love, it's extra awesome if it's a doll you really like too because you get to see different angle of the face and such.

    3. I enjoy a box opening when the video is short and without a lot of dialogue. If there is too much bumbling around and meaningless rambling, I move on.

    4. I loved opening my dolls! its like a rush of excitement to meet them for the first time! Especially when they have a face up, a different skin tone to the others... It's so exciting to see whats better and different to expectation ^^ I've watched a couple of them on the internet but mostly to see what dolls I want are like... When I get more dolls Ill probably end up watching more...

    5. I had my first box opening last week. In fact the box was already few days at home because I didn't have time enough to enjoy it before. I wanted to be sure that I won't be interrupted.

    6. i love box opening. its make me so exciting to see picture of box opening and can see the doll at the first sight. :D

    7. I really like them when each photo is accompanied by comments or when they're turned into a story, but when it's just photos and I can't get a sense of the excitement felt by the person opening the box, I find them a little boring. I never watch the videos though, I'd rather look at photos, where I can look at the bit that particularly interests me for as long as I would like without having to pause the video.
The exception is if it is a doll I'm really, really interested in, then I'll look at a million non-captioned photos.

    8. i really like all kinds of box openings. Video box openings are my favorite though. I love seeing how wxcited the person is who is opening their new dollie (: It makes me happy to see them happy (:

    9. I love the picture based ones but I can do without the video ones. Unless they did some kind of stop motion cinematic thing...then I'd totally watch that

    10. I love box openings. its part of owning a doll and i think its part of who you are and what your dolls mean to you.

    11. I love box openings! Whether it be in video or picture form. Being able to see the excitement over a newly-arrived package, the popping of bubble wrap xD,
and uncovering the doll itself is fun to watch :).

    12. I've yet to order my first doll so I love the box openings! I can live vicariously through others until I pluck up the courage to buy my own n_n

    13. I like reading threads and seeing pictures, but videos are kind of boring.

    14. I love the box openings if they show good closeup shots of the dolls face and hold her/him still for a few seconds so I can study it.

    15. I like box openings because I like to see people's reactions to their new dolls. I like seeing other people get hyped because it makes me hyped.
It's also pretty cool to see how different companies or sellers package their dolls and whatnot!!

    16. I agree, I like to watch box openings as well because I can see the happiness in the owner's eyes when he/she holds it for the first time. It's like having a baby, but of course on a much lower scale. But it is happiness

    17. I look at the box openings for dolls I want, dolls that are nice to look and and occasionally, just whatever I see because they're dolls.
I like how it shows me how dolls are packaged and what to expect, as I don't have a doll yet. I like to see how different companies package their dolls and I also enjoy seeing the blank doll, next to their owner for comparison.
Sometimes though there's videos on youtube where people start off with "sorry about how I look today" or they feel the need to justify stuff and I don't really care for it, as it just delays the opening. Or they kind of unwrap the box and it takes ages, then they stop to take photos of it, then they do a little more, then they photograph. The slow ones irritate me and I usually skip to near the end on those ones.
All in all though, I think they're great and I like how people share in their excitement and experience. :)

    18. I love box openings threads. It gives me a chance to see how the doll comes and what it really looks like ... resin color, type of body jointing, face-up. Also, it's fun to 'celebrate' with the new owner ... you can feel their excitement.

Videos can get tedious and I usually fast forward through the mechanical opening of box to the 'good part', when the doll emerges! :) I like to hear the owner describe what they see and their reaction ... priceless. :D

    19. I'm loving both making box opening threads and looking through those from others! I don't generally watch videos, I more enjoy the ones just with pictures. And most especially those with pictures that involve other dolls in the arrival of someone new. I'm in that part of the forum more than any other!

    20. I find video box openings a bit boring to watch. The only reason I watch them is to get a better look at a doll I might be interested and maybe get some feedback on it. I'm sure someone could make an entertaining box opening but most the ones I have seen so far are too slow and a lot of unrelated talking. Picture box opening can be great as long the focus is on the doll and has enough pictures to get a clear view.
