Box Openings: Awesome or Boring?

I love box opening.

 

Awesome! Hahaha! I love box openings!! Can sit for hours and just look at box opening pictures or videos...

 

I love box openings! I used to post there all the time. But they get deleted after certain amount of time (and thats why i only have 650 posts after being on the forum for so many years, because they all got deleted over the years.) but i understand the deletion, as there are physical size limits to the forum, and we are pretty huge anyway

 

I love box openings, I especially look for the dolls I'm interested in, it's some kind of review for me. And since I'm still deciding on my next doll, I think it helps !

 

I like box openings sometimes. The videos can be a little boring, but I like looking at pictures. I like seeing box openings of the dolls on my wishlist, and of limited full sets.

 

I really enjoy them actually.. Seeing people being excited about a new doll makes me extremely happy haha, so..

 

I love box appending and see picture of other box opening, so much excitement p, you know what's in there but still surprised when you actually see for first time.

 

I really enjoy watching youtube videos of first doll box openings. I love seeing the excitement on their faces as well as what you get in the boxes with the doll!

 

I love box openings! Especially video box openings and even more so if it's a doll I want myself. What I don't like though is people that film box openings that just show their face and them ranting on about whatnot.

 

Not really...I have taken pictures of mine and then can never be bothered to show them anywhere as I feel someone somewhere will probably do it anyway. I would love to feel the enthusiasm that people have for them, but I just haven't found it yet...( although I do find I can sometimes get sucked into watching the video ones), but in fact I prefer the videos where people talk about there dolls, as I love hearing them creak as they move their joints. Maybe one day I will like them more.

 

I like box openings! It's fun seeing a brand new doll, fresh out of the box I wanted to photograph my doll opening, but I was just too impatient to get a camera and just wanted to get him out of that box!

 

They can be cool if it's a doll I want or admire or if they make a photo story out of it! I haven't managed to post any because like NocturnalMelody I get too excited about having them in my hands at last!

 

Box openings are exciting! I love to take pictures, and my hands just shook when I was removing the bubble wrap xD I like to look at box opening photos especially if they are the dolls that I admire a lot.

 

I think how boring/awesome a box opening is depends on how you do it. I don't get any joy watching people just open a box, and I'd find it super anticlimactic to just rip open a package with no fanfare, but if they're done as a photostory, I love reading them and making them. That's how I do mine, I have my existing crew open the box and welcome the new kid. I have loads of fun doing it!

 

I actually like to watch box openings but I prefer pictures as to watch a video.
pictures with a small story is nice and funny but not necessary.

box openings give me actually a small look about the company how their pack the Doll, whether something is broken or not, the view of the dolls, sometimes I see a Doll who looks good and I don't know the company, so I go and look at the other dolls.

 

As someone who hasn't got her first bjd yet, I actually really like box openings. I only look at the ones of dolls or companies that I'm interested in though and I'm not a fan of photo stories. As others said, it's more informative than enjoyable. I can share a bit in the excitement at the moment though as I can't experience it for myself!

 

I guess it depends... I like seeing box openings of dolls I like or want, or ones where the poster has some interesting commentary, but other times, where there are bad pictures or whatever, I'm unimpressed. Box openings are a great way to see what you can expect when you're going to be opening up your own doll, or see the details of the doll that aren't necessarily shown in the stock photos.

I never bother with videos - I'd rather take a gander at the photos and the important moments than listen to someone talking for ten minutes while they cut up a box...

 

For myself I'm kind of terrible about putting box openings up. I do have pictures for each of my dolls from the big brown box, to the doll box, to bubble wrap and so forth, I just don't put them up anywhere XD

However when it comes to watching/reading other people's box openings I'm much better. I love watching them on YouTube or reading them here in the B.O. forum or on someone's blog. I am terrible with commenting on them, but I have watched a rather insane amount of videos and read quite a few threads too :P Sometimes the actual box opening in the video is quite standard, but the energy and excitement of the person opening it makes it utterly awesome. And when that happens I kind of get to have a box opening through them, which gives me a second hand experience of opening the box without spending the cash which makes my wallet happy!

 

that's kind of a reason for me too why I do not like to watch videos because while they are talking I understand not even the half of what they are saying XD (english isn't my native language).

 

at the early years i felt it was so interested of the box opening..but now, after saw too many box opening, i feel a little bit boring
