Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Bright colored wigs for your MSD Boys or natural?

Aug 9, 2014

    1. I like the odd colored wigs more than normal colored ones. My one of my MSDs have a dark plum colored wig with pink and light blue in the back. My Soom deertaur has an awesome teal wig.

    2. I've gone the natural route for my Johnny. His character is supposed to have uncombable hair syndrome, so I chose a shaggy shoulder-length fur wig. It's a dark blond shade and sticks out everywhere, regardless of whether it's on Johnny or not. It's a peculiar wig, but it suits Johnny's personality perfectly so it's here to stay.

Alistair is another story entirely. He doesn't have a permanent wig yet, but I've got four ordered for him. Three are fantasy colored and the fourth is coming in one of those grab bags you can get on Etsy. Thus I have no idea what the fourth one will look like. Since Alistair came with red default eyes I figured unnatural wig colors would suit him.

The third MSD boy that I have planned will be an odd combination of both natural and fantasy colors. It's a curly blonde wig, but it's got blue and red highlights on the back.

    3. both my msds have colorful hair. Blue has well, blue hair and Current's hair is light blue and grey.

I have nothing against natural colored hair in general, I think that the colors would be the same even if they were SDs

    4. I make it a point to give all my dolls natural colored hair unless their backstories indicate that they're not biogenetic beings, humans or not. (I have a pair of androids in my family)

As far as MSDs go, they will all fall under the natural colored hair category for now. :3

    5. My MSD boy had a pure white wig simply because that's the one that came with the fullset. He was my first so I was really scared about trying to piece a doll together and wanted the fullset so I could start with a complete boy. I've thought many times about getting him a more natural colored wig, but at this point, the hair is part of his character.

    6. It depends on the character for me.

    7. I like to change the colour of my MSD boy's wigs since he's the type who dyes his hair aaall the time (in my art/stories haha)

Pastels and white hair is definitely what suits his personality best though, especially pink and blue. Right now he's wearing a platinum blonde and pastel blue wig.

    8. I would, if boyish styled wigs in crazy colours were easier to find.

As it stands, I plan to have maybe green or blue for one of my not yet ordered boys. I love me some fantasy colours.

    9. *waves* Hi purple_monkfish! :thumbup

      Mine run the gamut. :3nodding:

I love unnatural hair colors, and would probably have even more if shorter boy styled wigs in all those great colors were easier to find.

Although, even when it comes to natural hair colors, I prefer the unnatural versions. Such as pure white over blondes, or true black over natural black. ^_^

Lol, my own hair intentionally, isn't even a natural color!

Lue's wigs run from natural black, to unnatural black, to black with purple streaks, to Volks wonderful Choco purple, to straight up bright purple, to dark purple, etc. :)

Meanwhile, Lue's half brother Luka only wears pure white wigs of various lengths.

Then there's Lue's younger half brother, Wraith, who only has one wig, which is a mix of natural dark browns, to white blonde. Part of the reason Lue used to call him a 'mutt', back when they didn't get along so well.

Freyr only wears a white wig with pale lavender under accents. Lol, of course he also only wears military dress uniforms, and fatigue type stuff, too......being the commander of my demon army, he takes his military role very seriously. ;)

Whether they're natural or unnatural colors, most of my boys have dark wigs, since I love dark hair. The exceptions are pure white, and silver hair, which I also love. :love

I tend to avoid wigs that are shades of orange, yellow, or bright red, both natural and unnatural versions, as a rule..... They're just not my particular cup of tea. ^_~
