1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

BuddyDoll Discussion

1. oh sure. I finally came to grips that I dont need another full SD+ size boy and they go and do this.....

2. lol i know.. I might have to break down and buy him.

3. Oh god. Mercury has stolen my soouuulll.
he's going on the list D:

4. I've just realised that Mercury would be perfect for the Aya Fujimia doll I've always wanted (if you haven't already guessed from my avatar, I'm a huge Weiss Kruez fangirl)I just hope it isn't french resin because I don't like it a lot.

5. Their shipping is soooooooo expensive!!!!! $40 shipping for just a head???????!!! WAHHHHHH!!!!!

6. His body is perfect for a hybrid I've been planning. >_< <333 I can't wait to see what his resin matches.

7. Dear gods I think I found Blayke.... :o

*dead*

8. I've had a reply about the resin type if anyone wants to know

" Hi, Thanks for your interest on our Mercury.

He is made from regular Resin, not French Resin.

We are planning to use French resin but we are not sure when.

We will post it if we get it.

Thanks again and have a wonderful day."

:)

9. Their SD girl's neck holes are 7.2cm. Which means the head probably can't fit on other resin bodies. But on an obitsu or DD it'll definatley work. :sweat But not sure yet if the resin is any close. Their resin tone looks kinna like mythdoll in the pics. Hope to see some of them soon! :)

10. It appears no one really knows much about this company. It is based in Korea, and appears to have just started selling their dolls (at least to the U.S.) this year. They are more than I can afford, but thought people might want to know about this. Here is the URL
http://www.buddy-doll.com
Take a look! The dolls are 60cm, BTW.

11. I love these tall boys :D I just wish mercury didn't look so angry.

12. That is pretty strange. Did you find out anything else about this?

We've gotten contacts from both Pretty Works and Buddy Doll. I was wondering if people would be interested in getting a Buddy Doll from Dolls and Friends? It sounds like it would save people a ton of money on shipping. $40 shipping for a head? Yikes!!

13. well here we go, im an owner of a buddy-doll april

pros:
amazing posability
face that makes your heart melt
very photogenic
easy to move joints
isnt as creaky as DOT
beautiful eyes[reguardless of color]

cons:
resin is VERY thin(thats why you think its french resin)
feet are long and thin, difficult to get in SD sized shoes but they work
hourglass shape to the extreme, big boobs, itty bitty waist, gigantic hips
kinda floppy if you dont know how to use the torso joints
the faceup is extremely delicate, i suggest reglossing the lips and resealing her faceup before playing with her too much
BIG HEAD! I tried on 2 wigs, one from dreamofdoll and one from Soom i beleive and neither fit

all in all... if you want one, get one while theyve got the free shipping and 10% off...or dont get one, youll feel ripped off. although i LOVE Dannie, my buddy-doll April, im sad that her beautiful lips have smudged due to poor sealing and the back of her knee has chipped because of thin resin

i dont recommend peircing their ears either, the resin is almost see-through in the ears

14. I agree with bukimeisu on all points, cause I have an April too. My girl seriously needs some sueding, but I guess that's a tradeoff for her super poseability. I'm glad I saved some money due to a fluke on their part because I feel like I got what I paid for.

The head also has a "duck-like" neck, if people would be bothered by this. It's like the face is set too far in front of the skull.

15. I own an april too. And I agree on most of what the others said, only my girl doesnt seem to have thin resin? for some reason shes quite sturdy and thick Oo but yes she does have quite a small neck and her face is too far forward.

But I still love her anyway. She's perfect for the character I had so flaws or not she was worth the money. at least in my opinion :)

16. anybody have a mercury? i neeeeeeed more info on the body, i've been dying for a muscular 70cm

17. I really want to get March! because she reminds me of some one! and she is really pretty!

18. I've been looking at Mars for a while, and what I've heard of the body is that the M-buddy body has super poseability as well. A friend of mine has the body and loves it, though she noted it's a little hard to find clothes because he's got, erm, shapely thighs XD

19. I have the Buddy Doll Mars - and I love him. He is not at all thin in the resin department like I saw people saying about the female BuddyDoll's - his one thigh weighs as much as my obitsu - he's the heaviest doll I have. He does have very shapely thighs and torso, but I haven't had too much issue with clothing. His Torso is more poseable than most dolls that I have, his legs and arms are fine - the only issue really would be his hands, but they still work okay - just not very poseable and will need the boil to change finger position trick as I'm not fond of his hand pose. He is probably my most popular doll.

If you want to see some pictures of him we just took a photoshoot of him for our deviantart site at http://trutype-doll.deviantart.com
