1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Buying backup parts for your dolls?

Oct 24, 2007

    1. Darn, it is a bit hard to get a backup head for a limited doll. I guess I could get a basic head and mod on elf ears...

Though, I am glad I am not the only one who thought of this!

After everyone saying they got backup hands, perhaps I should too! Though, I am always careful with the hands, but they seem so fragile. You never know what will happen!

    2. I would really like to get some extra hands for my doll. The fingers just look so delicate, I know if I was going to be clumsy and break a part, it would be the fingers.

    3. I honestly never thought of this until a couple weeks ago when there was a restringing incident happened at my house and I was sorely wishing for an extra part body laying around..... Now I had to msg the company to see if I can purchase them :...(

    4. I would really love to get another default Megu wig for my doll, and maybe a second set of my favorite outfit of hers (DollHeart Cherry Romance) and maybe some spare hands and feet but I'm not too concerned with getting her a spare body or anything like that. In my opinion, she'll always be beautiful no matter how yellowed she gets. If anything ever happened to her body I would try to fix it or send it to a modder to have it fixed and if all attempts failed then I would consider getting her another body, I could never replace her head though, if I replace the whole doll (even if it was just the head and/or with the exact same sculpt) it would not be her anymore, it would be a completely different doll.
I don't have any "descendants" to leave her to and even if I did, I probably still wouldn't do it.

    5. There is only one doll I wanted a backup of, and fortunately I not only have a backup for head and body, I have backup wings as well. It took two years to collect them, but it's a great relief to have them.

    6. That's sounds like a good idea depending on how active you are with your dolls. I lost my dolls foot one time while changing her clothes. It turned out that the magnet on her foot stuck to the magnet on her back. I turned my room up and down looking for it and almost bought another pair of magnetic feet.
