It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. 1. I've never bought a fullset myself, but that's because I have expensive taste, limited amounts of funds and I had to make some sacrifices, to get the dolls I wanted. Would I love to have fullsets? Oh, yes I would! Not only would I get an awesome doll, I'd get a lovely outfit that I could use for any of my dolls.

Fullsets aren't at all impersonal. If a doll is perfect for you, she's perfect and there's no need to re-invent the wheel. Besides, there are tons of things you could do with the LE items that came with your fullset.

    2. Hm, I hadn't really thought about it until now, but I own some full sets and don't find it less personal at all. I do however only buy them that way if I really love the whole set or can't get the doll any other way than through the fullset.

    3. I myself don't have any full packages but my mom bought her girl as a fullset. Personally I know I would never buy one due to it feeling less personal to me. I bond with my dolls by doing their faceups, developing their styles and working from scratch. However, my mom develops stories but doesn't do faceups herself, and she thinks of fullsets as just another outfit for her character to have. To each their own! :)

    4. One of my dolls is a full set without shoes because that's how she was offered-with clothes and a wig and I payed for the face-up. another came with a face-up, wig, eyes and a very odd dress she never wears. I don't don't think I would intentionally buy a full set if a basic version was offered. I like company face-ups in general but wouldn't want to spend that much on an outfit I don't love.

    5. I was fancy about full package Chloe from Fairyland. When I finally bought it, I understood, that I want to change everything in her. And one of the reason was that so many people have the same doll. I want to make her more individual. But when I change outfit and wig I realized that I didn't like this mold at all. It was very disappointed and I sold her after 3 month. Since this situation I have never bought full package doll one more time.

    6. I bought a full set Jack the Ripper recently, only because there were accessories that I really really wanted that weren't available separately or as just the outfit. xP know I probably will be changing a bunch of things on him to make him more "original." Though honestly, I see getting a full set doll as the quick and easy way to have a set outfit and build your dolly's wardrobe... Assuming that the owner likes most of the pieces of the said full set that is..

    7. Even though full sets are more expensive, I love them because they come with clothes :XD: so at least my doll won't be naked at first. Like others have said, even if you plan on customizing your dolls later, full sets provide a good beginning point. I personally have difficulty imagining how dolls will look if they're blank so I at least start with company face ups and go from there.

    8. I don't feel like they are less personal, but I usually change one thing about them to make them mine, whether it be a custom faceup, different eyes, wig, etc. This was completely unintentional, but I noticed that I am drawn to have at least something unique about my doll. I love my almost-fullsets just as much as my other dolls :)

    9. I don't think it makes it less personal if a person buys a full set doll instead of just buying parts. After all, after you buy your doll, in the end, you'd still be making alterations in her look, change her eyes, clothes and stuff like that, so I think that you'll still be personalizing him/her.

    10. It's just a personal preference. I've never bought a real full set, but that is just because I want to do faceups myself.
Right now I have a PW White Rabbit on layaway, and I've ordered him with his clothes (including wig, but not boots), but that is the closest I've come to a fullset. If the boots had been up for sale I would have grabbed them as well XD
So if you feel like the doll is all you wish for, why not just go and buy it all (muhahaha) no really, it will probably be less expensive anyway since buying clothes and stuff separately will often en up costing more. ;)
A doll is only as personal as you make it out to be yourself. If a fullset does that for you then YAY!! Confetti for everyone! XD

    11. Last year, I ordered a Dollfie Dream Hatsune Miku doll. I'll be keeping her fullset, because I like her as Miku.

When I ordered my Super Gem Sabik and Little Gem Yuki from Soom, I bought his fullset faceup and wig, and her fullset eyes and wig, because they went with the personalities I wanted for their characters. If Soom ever actually releases the doll I suggested at Dollism, I plan on buying one complete fullset, and one blank to customize, but what other course of action is appropriate if you suggest something and they actually make one?

For the most part though, the ideas I have for a doll aren't whatever idea the company was working with to make a fullset, so I don't get the fullsets. This will change if I ever like the fullset look best (I'm looking at you Angell-studio phoenix dolls!) I don't think it's somehow less personal, for someone to have the exact same idea for a sculpt as the company that made the sculpt. If a company makes a fairy princess doll, and someone looks at that sculpt, and also sees a fairy princess doll, and they think all the fullset items the company released with her combine to make the perfect fairy princess doll, that just means the company and the person who wants the fairy princess doll are thinking on exactly the same page, and that's cool. If someone sees a fairy princess doll, but thinks the accessories need changing, that's also cool, and if someone looks at her, and thinks she'd be the perfect fairy princess doll if her wig eyes faceup and outfit were changed, and if say parts of her face were slightly modded, that's also cool. Someone shouldn't be faulted for how much or how little their idea for a sculpt happens to line up with the company's idea for that sculpt.

    12. Well, I think it's fully personal. Somebody doesn't like promotion face up and its outfit and someone loves it. it depends one's taste which is fully personal thing. I sometime give up to buying a doll when it says 'only full package sale', cause some of those package was not appeal to me. In other words, Full package is on your personal taste :)!

    13. If you love the entire fullset, you should definitely buy it! And if you ever feel like changing your doll, you have the option too! For me though, I don't usually opt for the fullset as I like crafting very specific looks.

    14. Some of my favourite dolls to look at have been fullset dolls, especially Minifee Celine. I have a fullset doll incoming and another that I'm debating over since I can't find any feedback for the company [emoji53]

    15. I have never bought a fullset, but I don't think they're less personal. You can still give them any personality and back story, which is, to me, the bulk of being personal.

    16. I buy fullsets and non-fullsets/blank dolls.

If I'm going to buy a fullset, I have to love every piece of it or else I won't get it. The reason is because if I buy fullset I plan on keeping the doll in their fullset. Case in point, Fairyland Minifee Sheep Rin. I bought two fullsets and they will forever stay in them because they are so beautiful that way. And I also bought a blank Rin, who I've had customized to my liking.

I don't think it makes it less personal. All of my dolls are special to me, the fullset ones and the customized ones. Afterall, I bought them all for a reason.

    17. I'll be getting my first full set doll within the next few weeks (hopefully!) and while I am planning to get him new clothes, wig, eyes etc, the idea of enjoying his full set too is really exciting! I think the full set is beautiful, and to have the chance of both that and my own take on him is something I'm looking forward to most~~ I don't think there's anything wrong with getting full sets, they can be really stunning and there's no reason to miss out on something you really like because you're worried a full set isn't the right way to go! You might even end up buying more clothes and stuff in future and splitting the set up between dolls etc

    18. I have bought mostly naked, bald dolls... though the one I did buy as a full set, a Pipos Mysterious Cheshire , I really meant to wipe his face and re-clothe him immediately, BUT.... he looked so adorable in his scars, mismatched eyes, purple eyelashes, and punky black and red clothes that I have never had the heart to change him. Sometimes, you just can't improve on perfection.

    19. Not all cos I typically don't keep them in their FS outfits. I usually relegate their FS outfits to another mould and character in my doll family. I honestly find Volks' FS outfits to be the best and end up scouring the MP and eBay to find all the period appropriate ones for my dollies.

    20. I don't think buying full set is something wrong. If I like its design, sculpt, clothes, etc, then I would buy it without second thought. Only problem is, sometimes a full set is just too expensive for me.
