Buying your second BJD

My first BJD hasn't even arrived, and already I've planned for a few more. It's odd, but rather than making dolls first and then giving them personalities, most of my dolls are based around pre-existing RP characters. I can't leave my boy alone, so I've already made plans to buy his lover, an E.I.D. Akando. Of course, I want Tania and Tatiana... preferably their Noctarcana versions, but I'm not counting on having saved up enough before they are no longer available.

I've made plans for several new dolls, and if all works out and I love how Mars looks, then I will be putting my next doll on layaway immediately, hopefully to be paid off sometime in August.

 

my Eden looks lonely that's why i'm thinking about buying another BJD, i've waited 5 months before buying a migidoll head it will arrive at the end of this month and i'm saving to buy the body

 

I had always planned for more than one, but when I got my first I had no funds for another. So when I had been working a month or so and knew what my paychecks would be it was decided real quick when I would be getting my 2nd and 3rd.

 

lol my first has not even arrived yet and ive already bought my second one. i bought soom heliot for my first and when amber came out i knew she would be perfect to go with him so i got here. i dont regret it and i dont feel bad for my heliot, i think his character would be secretly happy to have her around.

 

I got my first in late May and I've decided which doll I want for #2, now it's just a matter of saving, but between a few debts and bills I've got recently I wonder how long that'll take :P *prays the exchange rate is friendly*

i got my first in jan 2008.got my second in march 2008. bought it on impulse, as i had enough cash on hand, and the second doll is one of the dolls on my wishlist

 

XD I decided it was time to get a second one the moment I opened my first one.

Five days ago.

 

I planned 3 from the start, so after my first arrived I started planning on my second, but it'll be a long time before I save enough to get him. ^^ I don't feel guilty cos I know I'll always love my first no matter what. Besides, I think my girl will be happy to have a resin sibling!

 

Haha, I already plan to get Kal a partner when I got him, figured it be more interesting and fun to have 2 BJDs instead of 1, sides, they have each other as company when I'm away

I dont regret buying my first BJd, because I know it is something I have always wanted and I had contemplate about which to buy for 2 years, so I had alot of time to ponder and finally come to a decision.

I will get my 2nd BJD (IH's Jessica) next year, hopefully, or maybe during this year's christmas

 

I was already happy with my first BJD,
but when I was lookin around Angell-studio's site, I found another doll I like, called Hua Lian (he is limited btw) so im gonna go get him as my 2nd doll

 

I am looking for my second doll now, and that's because I'm not bonding with my first doll anymore.
It's weird, because it's only a few months since I got her...
But it's just not working anymore, so now I'm selling her and buy another doll.

 

About a day after receivng my first doll and some weeks poking through DOA I started thinking about getting another doll. Mt initial plan was just to own one boy and one girl. But now... I've only found oen female doll that I really like, and three boys. I'm still undecided as to which boy I will buy as my second doll, the one that suits an rp character of mine. Orrrr the sculpt I just fell in love with and have to have. It's a tough call. But I'm not going to decide until I've saved up the money, and spent more time with my first doll. He still needs sueding and restringing. Who knows.. maybe I'lll buy my second and third dolls at the same time!

 

I was always going to have two (they're a couple), so shortly after ordering the boy I started planning the girl. I pretty much have her head and body sculpts sorted -- and I'm still waiting for my boy! I'll give myself some time though, to get him set up with outfits and do some photostories, before I start actually saving to get her. (I mean, if I can't devote time and attention to one doll, am I really justified having two?)
The girl is all basic edition, so I'm in no hurry to get her.

The problem is... with all this waiting, and companies constantly trotting out limited editions, it's SO easy to get hooked onto other sculpts. Now I'm thinking of a third one already! *meep*

I bought my second (and third) dolls within two weeks of buying my first. Lilith (my first doll) demanded siblings before she was even home, lol.

 

Well. Um. I just got my Renny three weeks ago, and I'm seeing if I can juggle paycheques enough to get both her kids with my next one. I knew I'd be getting them as soon as I realised that Ren was a single mom. Which was before I got her. And I've fleshed out her story since then, so have a full list of dolls I want to go into the story. But her kids come next!

 

For me, I was looking at many dolls before I even got my first doll. I basically made a list of all the dolls I might want. After I got my first doll, I knew I had to have more. xD
So I waited for my birthday to order my second doll.

 

I had Callahan a few months before I started thinking about getting a second doll. Then, like Graven above me, I decided to wait for my birthday to order my second doll. I ended up ordering several months early, since I fell in love with the limited Soom Glot and literally couldn't wait for her.

 

Kyoshi is my first and I was/am more than happy with him I actually didn't want to buy more BJDs and I wanted to stay with just one. I stayed for a whole year with the wonderful company of my first baby (kyoshi) until I saw someone on the market place selling a CP chiwoo head and I was magically captured :3

I didn't like chiwoos at that time and never in my life thought of buying a SD BJD ( i was in HS at that time and didn't have a job so having a bigger doll was no-no for me and I wasn't interested either way) but it happened just the same like when I decided to buy my first BJD: there was something special about the mold that screamed at me "I'M THE ONE!!" the price, company, and size didn't matter and even though it was just a head, I fell head over heels for it!!! and bought my second BJD ( I bought his body later) kyoshi is my first doll and my favorite, I consider Dantès also like my first doll (size-wise, he's my first SD BJD^^) and my favorite, they both are my favorites actually and I'm not ashamed to admit that I am more attached /have more love for them than for the others.
