1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Calling all military members

Oct 26, 2011

    1. Military wife here :)

Thanks for all the shipping tips. I admit, I let the movers move my dolls to Japan. But I packed them as well as I could in their bags and original boxes, and I didn't lose any. The movers did steal some electronics. :( (not the Japanese movers..they're fantastic!)

Although I am in Japan, I haven't met anyone with BJDs. I haven't found a store that sells BJDs, although I saw some Blythe and Jun Planning. I'm pretty far from Tokyo, and I'm in a small farming community. But I don't get any funny looks when I take the dolls out for photo shoots, on or off base.

My doll hobby did help my husband once. He had to make a pattern for a helmet visor cover, so he did what I usually do to make a quick pattern: use a paper towel, fit it to the doll(or visor), and make sewing marks with a pencil. He even admitted to a coworker that the idea came from watching me sew for my dolls.

    2. i'm currently Air Force active duty. in south dakota. i currently have four dolls
