Hi everyone! Just got my first Unoa on Saturday at a doll show, barely found out she's a Chibi, no idea what face plates she has, where she came from, or who the face up artist is. Don't use this picture to judge her skin tone, IRL she's more pink. She's my first resin since 2010 so I don't even know if I have eye putty left. I suppose my biggest questions are what face plates does she have and what options are out there for her?
The faceplate on is "Lilin default". The one that is off looks like "roron cool" , but might be "roron default"? I can't really tell with her faceup, "Roron cool" has a open parted mouth and "roron default" is a more distinct open mouth smile.
Still working on finding wigs for her, I want several auburn to strawberry blonde because she wants to be different book characters from Anne of Green Gables to Little Orphan Annie. Her basic theme however is looking to be paw prints. We're still looking for a plushie with two heads or something like cat-dog for obvious reasons. Here's a better pic of the face plates, one is open 'Charlotte' (sometimes), one is closed "Anne", and I was told they're both supposed to be the default. Her nickname is 'I can't take you anywhere' because she draws so much attention but I want her with me when we buy fabric to ensure it will work.
With everything going on I have no idea what my Chibi's skin tone it. Didn't get any factory papers with her. She's even but has freckled all over body blushing, the light in here is awful, so hopefully the color card helps. He base tone is warm and slightly creamy, in the daylight her lips are actually on the orange side.
Left is Roron cool, right is Lilin default She looks like "fresh skin" to me! Alchemic Labo had their "old normal" (now discontinued) skin, which was replaced by "fresh skin". Fresh skin is more pink based, while old normal had a yellow tone.
Are you looking for the oldest painted chibis and how well the faceup has held up over the years? Araki still occasionally paints his dolls, AFAIK, judging by his eshop. ちび／unoa chibi 35cm｜錬金術工房WEBSHOP I don't own her anymore but I had a white oni-skin Sist with a faceup by Araki from approximately 2003 a few years ago, for a little while, and I will say that her faceup had aged quite well.
I just wanted to see how his work looks more recently since I'm debating on whether or not to get a painted Araki Chibi when I order from the eshop.
