Could you ever have just ONE BJD?

I really want to have just one doll and I really thought that I would have just one but somehow I ended up with more. I really dont like having alot of stuff or clutter in myroom but somehow dolly furniture and dolly things are taking over my room.

So with the dolls comes their clothes eyes and wigs etc but I would like to pare down to just one however I would not know which one to choose...

To ask that question you have obviously NEVER seen my room! I never stop at just one... I predict in time there will be bjds fighting with stuffed bears for a place to sit on the top of the piles of books!

So um no, I think only one isn't feasible!

 

I never wanted to get just one. The moment I decided to buy Elliot characters like his boyfriend automatically appeared out of nowhere. I just want this 'family' of dolls who're all connected in some way. That’s how I started writing my stories, and I don’t think I’ll ever be satisfied with just one. I'll be living in denial if that ever happens

 

I tried... and failed miserably.

 

I'm saving up for my first doll and I've got two other's I feel a need to buy when I have saved up enough money to buy them, so I won't be able just to have one.
But if I was to choose from the three I need, it's the one I'm buying first, 'cause I'm in love with him.

 

I love your collection of dolls Kobbi - I don't have one yet but am looking at a puki for my first doll. BUT JUST ONE (at a time . . .)

I tried... that lasted for about two weeks and I promptly ordered two more from the marketplace. My count is now seven, with a Puki on the way.

My friend swore she'd only have her MNF Woosoo twins... and just bought herself a Puki.

Her sister is staying strong so far with only one. We'll corrupt her to the dark side yet.

 

If I only had the choice of ever having/keeping just one, It'd be my first.

For a while he was all I had, but I wanted to know more about dolls.
Even though Lloyd is SD/'Love' size, he is an exception. [I usually tend to like MSD/'Happy' sized dolls.]

 

I used to think I could only have one...yeah, that lasted about a month after I got my first one :p They're like extremely expensive potato chips to me, there's no way I could have just one.

I've been thinking a lot lately about which one I would keep if I had to get rid of the others for some reason. I've applied to the JET Program and, if I get it, there's just no way I'll be able to take all of my dolls to Japan with me...but I don't really want to leave all of them here either. So far I'm leaning towards bringing Ryuuki with me, if I have the resources and/or space to bring one. He's my favorite (no particular reason why, though).

 

When I bought my first doll, I only intended to have one BJD but once I had her for a while, I knew that I was destined to have more. As much as I love her, I couldn't help but get another one. Now I have four with dolls added to my wishlist all the time.

 

i would have at least 10 by now if i had the money for such things. i have only one girl who i've had for about a year....i've been saving for a big boy for about as long - 12 months or so, and finally have the money! now it's scary to pick him, because i won't be able to get another for at least another year or so.

 

I'm going to try really hard to keep to the two I'm planning on. Neither have arrived, yet, but growing up I was that kid that "WANT WANT WANT" then after I got it, it wasn't as special anymore. I feel if I got too many, my affection towards them will be spread too thin and I'll get overwhelmed by them @_@

I want to be able to carry them with me, not as a little army to stomp on people, but as a cute little assembly.

I had originally planned to just have one from DOD.. then I found SOOM. Then I found out SOOM had monthlies. Then I found out that said monthlies are godly. D:

 

At first I was sure only about one doll, although I was timidly pondering about another, the idea of three also popped out, but it was more like "he he yeah would be kinda cool". Now I think I will never stop buying dolls. At this moment there are at least 12 that I would love to have-- and mostly Volks which at the beginning I so didn't like

 

I'm 100% sure, I wouldn't be able to have only one doll, hahah ^^;

 

I thought I could... I really, honestly did.

But with a new job and nowhere to spend the money... u_u

 

Well I've failed miserably at the owning one thing before I even have any. I'm waiting for two and saving for third
So I guess my answer would be no, couldn't have one. Then again, I really don't see myself getting fourth at this stage. I want to have enough time and attention to each and every one of my dolls which will get really complicated if there's a lot of them.

 

Yeah... no. I think there was a time when I first got into the hobby when I thought I would just have one, but I was never sure. Well I'm definitely sure now, and I know that one isn't enough. XD In fact, I have 4 and a head which will soon make 5, and I know that won't be enough either! There was a time when I just wanted a few and thought that if I had too many I wouldn't be able to love them all, but I've found that if they are all diverse enough from one another they each claim my attention in different ways and for different reasons. There are several aesthetics I want to accomplish with my dolls, and maybe once I run out of different looks for them I will stop buying them. When they start looking the same as one another, that's when I lose interest. We'll see though.

 

I haven't ordered my first yet. *scowls at people in line for taxes before her taking all the early appointments* But I will be ordering him in March after I get my tax returns at last. And I have pondered/plotted/imagined on getting a second one, but until I have my DZ Mo in my lap first I can't even think about it.

I highly doubt with my maniac collecting OCD personality that one will be enough to placate me, but I'm darn sure going to TRY! XD
