Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company.   2. Dollshe Craft and all dolls created by Dollshe, including any dolls created under his new or future companies, including Club Coco BJD are now banned from Den of Angels. Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. This ban does not apply to other company dolls cast by Dollshe as part of a casting agreement between him and the actual sculpt or company and those dolls may still be discussed on the forum.     2. I guess I will have to wait to see my first one before I know for sure... but if I feel the way I hope to when she arrives and the way the members here seem to, I'm sure one won't be enough!

      I'm already looking at others, but I'm trying SO hard not to order a second doll before my first one gets here!!!

    3. No.

      I swore all I would have is one, and even at that time I thought about how when I say "Never." it usually comes back to bite me in the ass. I now have 5 with a 6th on the way and Soom is trying to force me into buying a 7th. I've only known about BJDs for a little less than a year... This does not bode well.

    4. I ordered my first BJD in Feb...still waiting for her but I think she'll be enough to make me happy for a long while. Mainly cause few other BJDs have spoken to me....I always feel "eh" about them not "Oh, I'm in love!!"

    7. At first I really thought I could handle just having one doll. Fast forward almost three years and I've got 3 dolls, with a 4th on the way, not to mention another doll in the planning stages. If it came down to it though, and I had to only keep one, it would be my SDMegu, Alexis. She was my very first BJD, and I don't think i'd ever give her up.

    8. I thought I only needed one. :) But I bought a different body with a head I didn't want, then I wanted to use the head, so I had to buy another body, and now I just want one more...and so on and so on.... So now, I have two, but I'm fixin' to get a third that is already ordered. ;)

      I can't wait!

      So, I don't think it's possible once you get ahold of one...and my sis is the one who got me hooked on the BJD's anyway! :D

I'm waiting for my first doll now, and although I think I would do fine just with her (I have other doll collections as well, so I know myself pretty well considering the amount of dolls I'd be satisfied with). But I love photography and a big part of my doll hobby is taking pictures of them. I always found it much more fun to take pictures of two dolls rather than one, so I am planning to get her a sister in time. It has to wait a while though as I'm flat broke after the payments of my first! :lol:

    11. If I had too I can sell my other dolls but my Soom Spinel is staying with me forever and ever and ever and - *gets bricked*

      Seriously though, I've had only one doll for several years and when I got another one I sold that first one. The rest of the dolls I'm buying are just because I can. More than likely they will be sold when I'm no longer amused by them.

    13. I think I could've been satisfied with just one doll, but I wanted another. I also think it's hard to stick to just one doll, because the first doll is always the learning experience, and in having that first physical doll of your own, you learn about what you like in the hobby and what you don't, and thus make a more educated choice when planning for your next doll.

    14. eh im going to have 36 dolls total and um, at this point i cant even get rid of the expensive limited that wont be easy to find cause i love him to much XD. So yea um one doll cant happen i already have 16 XD

    15. Oh dear. I fell inlove with Soom Dolls and as everyone knows, Soom dolls are really high up in terms of quality, beauty and......... Price. I told myself when i bought a Soom limited edition that i would only buy ONE and not fall inlove with any other doll because it was just so .. PERFECT!! But now here i am, looking for a partner for my doll... These dolls are like... an addiction... and they cost a lot too.. well for me because i dont buy just any doll.. or i dont settle for less.. i only buy the ones i "fall in love with" and theyre often from soom or iplehouse... T_T;

      quite surprisingly enough though, i dont feel guilty. I think they truly are worth it. I usually use the "i would rather" method to prevent myself from purchasing uneccessary things but... SOOM dolls are just all-mighty...

    16. I've just started looking at the BJDs and already I can tell there will be more than one! First of all there are the different sizes. It's fun to have a little family, so there would have to be a couple of younger sibs. Then the obvious! There are just so many gorgeous and interesting faces out there. I'm wondering who in my doll collection I can sell to allow the second already! :chocoheart

      Looking back at when I first became interested (& when I started this thread)
      I didn't have any "ideals" of what I wanted in a doll, so I chose what was
      cute or pretty and I admit to being lured by the harder to acquire dolls (like my U-noa)
      Now I have a better understanding of what I'm looking for in a doll
      and when/how to determine "like" from *love*.

      :lol: Hope they missed! I recently sold two tinies, and I swear my others
      have been giving me scary looks, fortunately nothing flying at me...yet!

      :lol: I'm thinking of selling my only guitar for doll funds...
      I wish dolls were as easy to get/afford as potato chips:D
      They are certainly less fattening though...I'm on a sort of
      dollie diet as I type...no (food) money...it all goes to the dolls.

      Thought I would try to bring this back to life...even though the
      "only one BJD..?" turns out to be such a common question we
      have. When I asked it myself I already knew it was an impossibility
      for me, but I still think THAT ONE DOLL is out there that will
      make me utterly happy and I'll never want to even look for another....
      I think it's really just an excuse for me to keep looking.:lol:

    20. I have three and a floating head, so deffinately no on the only one part, I don't have that many wishes for more dollies though, a body for the floating head perhaps, but for now, that'd be enough.
