  2. Dollshe Craft and all dolls created by Dollshe, including any dolls created under his new or future companies, including Club Coco BJD are now banned from Den of Angels. Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. This ban does not apply to other company dolls cast by Dollshe as part of a casting agreement between him and the actual sculpt or company and those dolls may still be discussed on the forum.     1. I thought I would only get one. but then I ordered my second doll 3 days after my first ^^; And I'll be buying my 3rd next week. And now I'm struggling to not buy another one within the next month! And I told myself 'no more than 2!' before I bought my first one, but at this point it seems pretty obvious that I'll probably end up with quite a few.

    2. I have been living with one for months and I've been pretty happy. I knew that at one point I was going to have another one but I knew it could wait to a later date.

      From what I see, most doll owners are not satisfied with just one XD It's sort of a curse

    3. I already know I'll be getting more than the one.. I have characters in my head jealous to the fact that one is bought and being made. Of course I can't buy anymore within a few days of ordering the first, I had to wait for tax returns to get the first at so soon a time. Though I know I may get a second next month because I want a mini, which won't be as expensive as the 64cm boy I bought as my first.

      The Mini isn't even based off of any particular character.. Jesslynne is more of a mixture of who I want to be and the Mini will reflect that wearing frilly dresses. :lol: I'm getting offtopic.

      Reality speaking for money wise, I'd like to keep it at one - what with I can't sew, but I know that's VERY unlikely.

    4. I had my first bjd foe about a year until I even started looking at others.
      It wasn't that I wanted another doll, I was just showing an interest in other peoples.

      And then it happened, I saw a doll that I knew I just had to have, even if I had to saw my own leg off in exchange.

      I'm the 2 months that followd i aquired three more dolls

      Still planning to get more, though!

      One boy, (who's on the way) One girl, and one puki.
      I couldn't have just one. I want a boy to dress awesomely, a girl to dress cute/pretty, and a puki because those things are just so darn cute!

    6. No. Not a chance.
      I could cut the crew down to five, though, if I absolutely had to.

      I like all of my dolls, and wouldn't part with any of them easily at this point, but Harumatsu & Tien Jen, Kessari, Teacup and Al are simply non-negotiable. Barring disaster, those guys are going to be with me for the rest of my life, no matter what eventually becomes of the rest of the tribe.

    7. Pfftt... I thought I'd just have one. And then I found another that I like and thought, okay I'll have two. Then I got bored waiting for 2nd one to arrive and I bought two more. I'm still waiting for them to arrive. Must. Stop. Now!

      I didn't expect to order 4 in such a short time though... ._.
      I promised myself to take a break from dolly buying and focus on dolly upgrading and other things.
      I'm not sure if I can keep that promise to myself. I sure hope so...

    9. Well, I've had my one baby for almost a year now. I do see myself getting more dolls in the future, but I -have- to pay off my debt first. I can't afford to buy a doll when paying off a loan is more important.

      So actually, yeah, I -can- see myself with just my Rennie. Then again? I have a wishlist a mile long! If I win the lottery, you better be sure it wont be a one doll house for long! MWAHAHAHA!

      I'm just now finding the rosenlied dolls..and they have taken my total attention ..but I from Iplehouse is my first true love in BJD...if I had to keep only one...it would be "I"...(not me..the doll I)...LOL

    11. I knew I wasn't a one doll girl, with ANY type of doll I've collected in the past such was the case. Before I was thinking 5ish would be my limit but I'm unsure if I might go further in the future. 3 dolls and 2 heads is my current goal so hopefully that will keep me pretty happy for a good while. My funds won't be friendly to more for a long time anyway. -cough-

    14. NO... NEVER!! I could not imagine having just one--there's just too many different sculpts/sizes I like, and I want them all!
      And I think it's lonely, having just one doll... it needs companions of its own kind, too. :sweat
      That being said, I ordered my second doll within 3 months of getting my last one. The only thing stopping me now is of course, money and ...space.

    15. If you could only possess one of your dolls, could you choose?
      No I always thought of having BJDs in terms of pairs so the idea of just one boogles my mind. It's like saying choose one foot to keep. If I had to choose one pair I could do it and would pick Tsumiya (DOC H. Kirill) and probably the doll I have who's on the way and is a ShinyDOLL Fragille Hikali. Tsumiya because I am super bonded to him and the Hikali because right now she's my favorite girl :)

    16. Hmmm... My first thought on reading the title of this thread was 'Yep, I could have just one doll..."

      I don't own one yet, but I know e-zackly who my first will be (Shinydoll Aria) and... lol! just the way I wrote that last bit means I am already contemplating another! I am so very new to the world of bjd's and it is at the same time exciting and overwhelming... There are a lot of things to look at and learn...

      But, to answer the topic question... nope... doubt it... On reflection and observation (of the mountains of books and vintage mags I own) I'm not really a one of anything sort of girl... except for my husband :aheartbea

      I don't guess I can really answer the other questions posed since I don't yet have anyone home, but I was really interested in this topic and just wanted to add my two cents ;)
