1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Could you ever have just ONE BJD?

Dec 28, 2008

    1. I wish I could also, but there are just so many that I love around!!!
If I had to absolutely choose...it'd be a fight between my T-line choco, Switch Kiri and Unoa Marion...I'm not an SD person, but I just really LOVE Marion and Kiri's faces...

    2. I only got my first BJD a few weeks ago. Sometimes I look at other dolls and want them, but for right now I didn't quite finish working with my only doll, basically, I am not through with playing with her yet, so she will be alone for quite a while. We will see what happens

    3. I really want to be able to spoil just the one, but I know in the future i am going to want more. At least a male counterpart so i have a set. I don't see myself being the kind to own an entire case of them, but you never know. Guess it will depend on how much disposable income i end up with over the years. I have major student loan debt to pay back =/

    4. I might be happy with just one tiny doll but they seem to have a magnetic attraction to each other- as soon as word gets out that another person has succumbed to the bjd fever, the little dolls flock to their door. That is my story and I am sticking to it! ;)

    5. I don't think so. I'm in the process of ordering my first, but I already know I want another for her boyfriend. :D

    6. It would be hard, but... I've obsessed over Suigintou for so long, she's my desert-island doll.

    7. I need to have more than one XD I've tried just having one.. but when I had one, I got another... And another.. And another XD Lol

    8. i looked for the one before at first it was going to be a dollfie dream customised but then just turned into any bjd doll then after i got my first i just wanted more! but of course dad is the real decidor =w=

    9. I have only one BJD. A Mir by Elfdoll. I think he has the most beautiful face I have ever seen. I have had him since 2008, and I love him very much. I am very content with him. I spend all of my free time making him clothes (he's the perfect man... he'll wear anything I make for him with no complaint ;) ). The next item he needs is a silver goblet and silverware... I am discussing a commission with a silversmith. It is perhaps an obsessive love. I am looking for a girl, but I am not sure I will ever find one as beautiful as he. Suggestions would be welcome. I like very realistic, womanly adult female dolls.

    10. Ergh, this hobby is so expensive.

You'd think you'd be content with one doll, then you end up with several >< .

    11. No, one is just a taster I find of all the wonderfull others out there. I couldn't possibly only have one.

    12. I just recently received my first BJD and although I do have plans to someday get her a twin I'm perfectly happy with just her.
Over the years my wishlist has shrunk and shrunk (even though I didn't actually buy any of the dolls from it, except for my girl of course) so I think it's very possible for it to keep shrinking and me end up never getting a second BJD.

    13. Hm. I've had just one doll for two years now. I have owned several dolls in different sizes and genders. I like being able to find things just for her and spoil her rotten. (I think what I like most about dolls isn't the dolls but collecting the doll's stuff.) But, i'm starting to itch for another doll, so I doubt she'll be my one and only forever.

My Happydoll margo has been just a head in a drawer for almost a year so even though she's in my sig in case anyone wants to track down pics of a rare head, she's not really a full doll.

    14. I own one doll for about 2 years, never had another one, I am still saving for another one, but...I'll see, I'm currently happy with what I have now :)

    15. No, she or he would feel too alone.

      ;)

Seriously I always wanted only one, but after a few months my first BJD arrived, I bought the next and the next and the next... But now it's really enough, I haven't no free spaces for new bjd in my room XD

    16. I knew that I was never going to have just one BJD. I don't think I could even have only one now. If my collection had to be boiled down to the bare minimum, I would have 4 dolls total. (Kazuma, Taemin, Jordan and Chris)

    17. If had to boil down my collection, I'd start crying!:(

      I :aheartbea them all!!!

    18. I could do it. My U-noa Lusis. With faceplates, it would be better, but I got her first and had her almost 2 years before getting a second. I would miss the variety of the differences in our collection a whole lot though.

    19. I managed with my first doll for almost a year. Though nowdays I couldn't probably just stick to one, because that one doll can't fulfill my needs for say, more mature or innocent doll. I just need more than one doll to cope with. Also I can choose a doll depending on my mood to photograph, and if the doll is always smiling, I can't get good pictures of her when I'm feeling down u__u

    20. I guess it's just impossible for me. I started with two, an Sd size and a Yosd size, then I found their pairing weird and lonely. So I went and get another boy. Then I feel the're should a girl in the family to balance things out. So I got another. I have 4 dolls now, 3 SD sized and one Yosd sized and I only got into this hobby in august this year
