1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

CP Delf Discussion Part 14

Sep 14, 2023

    1. Their lookbacks are completely different from the originals :( . I've given up hope that they'll ever have the sculpts released as is again

    2. Well that sucks, I had no idea! :( Its a shame we probably wont ever see those beautiful dolls again. The new releases from CP/Luts are nice but they lack that appeal the older molds had

    3. Due to the legal issue that separated CP and Luts in the first place, I doubt there is any chance we'll see the original versions back in production at all. Hence, Fairyland has been "resculpting" them as a work around. It's still always going to be a shame though, and the fact that we're at 10+ years later and still feeling the loss shows how iconic they were (similar to DOD).

    4. Yeah, agree it's impossible. I do chalk a lot of the differences to the preference for smaller heads now, because they were able to release Elf Soony and Juri'12 that were similar enough to their old Delf sculpts. The newest lookback are like 7-8" heads apparently. It's unfortunate for old school doll lovers, but I get that stylistic tastes change with time

    5. shhhhhhame, the larger heads is what I loved most about them. Seeing the smaller molds now days made me tempted to reshell all my babies, but its just not worth it and finding the ones I have now is so HARD if I changed my mind

    6. Speaking of their giant heads -- I posted a few pics on my insta a few weeks ago, but I picked up this little Baymax hood at a Disney store in Japan last month. It's meant for Disney's "nuiMo" mini plushes, but I saw it and immediately wanted to try it on one of my dolls. I only have SDs tho, so the only head I could manage to get it on was my CP Yder's lol. Compared to other OG Delfs (especially Shiwoo's colossus cranium), Yder is quite petit!

    7. He and the hat are so cute!!! Good to know that they fit; I think I've seen those plushies at the Disney store

    8. I've been keeping mostly to the Project Journals subforum for ages but last month I finally finished the matching outfits I designed almost a year ago at this point for a sewing project round months back. Here's Nell, my type 1 Lishe with a Lilykoi faceup on a CustomHouse body so ancient it doesn't fit s-hooks and I have her hands tied on with thin cotton yarn, lmfao. I still need to give her lashes some TLC but I'm very worried about faceup damage so I keep putting it off. She is a lovely banana shade next to her much newer brother, my SDF Cian 2nd ver.

    9. Shes so cute! I love the matching outfits! And that wig is perfect for her look!

    10. @Mamo Your Lishe is lovely!

    11. @Lei Xing thank you!! I'm really pleased with how well it matches. Her brother has a multicolor wig too, they make such a coordinated pair!
@Alice80 thank you so much, I'm so glad you think so too!

    12. She's beautiful - her entire color scheme is gorgeous.

I feel you on the fear of messing up a faceup - I'm scared to even change my Breakaway's eyes because I don't want to mess up his look or his faceup. It's funny because in contrast, I really have no fear having Elias (my Lishe that I painted myself) out with me.

    13. I feel a little insane that I get dolls with these beautiful face ups that I just wipe clean and redo myself x_x I mean they look and feel more personal when I do but its always a shame and feels like a waste. Reasons, I prefer to get blank dolls when I can.

I wanted to share my newest boy, a Breakaway'08!! :D I've been working on smoothening his eye opening mod which was done by a previous owner and I'm only about 80% done on his left eye (so his right eye is still a bit rough), but I couldn't resist putting him on a body to share a quick pic. I can't express how much joy seeing him gives me gahhhhh. It's so hard to find photos of CP dolls nowadays and I've been coming back to this thread every now and then to get a fix haha

    15. Say no more! Lol I love showing off my CP babies. I'm always happy to take photos of em. You did a really good job fixing up his one eye too! I would love to see him when he's fully put together!

    16. @Insane-Chan : Your Yder has such a wonderful default faceup!!! <3 He looks so boyishly cute. I am also suprised by Yder's head size compared to his other delf brothers/sisters that were in production at the time. Shiwoo's, Chiwoo's and El's always seemed to dwarf Yder in comparison. O_O

@Mamo : Congrats on completing your Lishe! She looks quite festive :chibi

@cian : Gorgeous *_* You're doing a fabulous job with the mods. He has such a sly look that is perfect for his smirky vampire smile. <3

    18. @Mamo It is so nice to see him again being spoiled and loved <3 I love what you've done with him!

    19. Yes please, more photos of your dolls would be welcome :3 I love your dreaming El from a few posts ago, such a handsome fellow and I like his faceup too :) Thank you, I am going quite slowly on sanding the eyes because I want to keep the current shape without removing too much from it, but I can't wait for when I can put my BA together with a faceup!!!

Thank you! Ahh, that smirky vampire smile is what got me so hooked on him, those tiny teeth! I love how the teeth look even though they probably make very little anatomical sense for a vampire xD

    20. Hi all, really neglecting my dollies as usual but I recently took some pictures of my dreaming El, Ronove, so I thought I'd share :aheartbea
