Creating a doll based off a video game character?

OMG HAHA i love you because I wanna make one of Vaan from FFVII. The problem is i dunno what sculpt to use and I am not trying to make it my number one priority because of $$$. but if i found the perfect sculpt for vaan i would likely hop on that But between that and props (whale whisker lol) and outfit ... yeah

 

If I could make one of Raiden from Metal Gear I totally would, but that sounds near impossible. Maybe Red from Transistor, with her own little transistor and everything. I bet making a Bioshock little sister doll would be super cool.

 

I already have an Aoba from DRAMAtical Murder, and sometime in the coming year I'm hoping to make Mettaton from Undertale! I love making character dolls, hehe.

yesss. ahaha i wish u lived near me though so we can enable each other and make this happen. ngl i lowkey ship them. kekeke vaan"s boots would be a pain but I think that would be the biggest pain of em all. As for fran... she looks overall difficult indeed. you would need resin bunny ears as well

I'm actually shelling Fran from FFXII into a cerisedoll dark tan ellana!
I've got her ears 3D printed already but not flocked, her wig is *mostly done* although this is an older image prior to me adding on the ponytail extension.

I'll be making her armor out of worbla for the more structured bits and sewing the rest.I even have a bow for her already.

I don't have any dolls yet, but I've been really thinking of making my first doll based off of one of my favourite characters as a sort of like... introduction to BJDs? mostly because I don't really have any dedicated OCs to shell like a lot of other people around here do, and because, well. I like to have a concrete idea of what I want to do - don't want to just wind up acting on impulses.

I do know that @Nyxy is working on making a few characters from Megaman X with Mini Machinas, which is really cool! I'm excited to see what they look like when they're finished.

I have a Blue Blood Doll Nile that I plan on making a Castlevania symphony of the Night Alucard cosplay for.

@Kotone I can't wait to see a Mettaton doll. I was thinking about making one too but haven't found a sculpt for him yet.

 

I seriously would love to have a Mettaton BJD (finding the perfect sculpt in grey would be hard though). I would also like to have a BJD that looks like Nathan Prescott from Life is Strange (Migidoll Cho would be perfect)...actually now that I think about this I have quite a list of video game characters I chose sculpts for that I want

 

Not a specific character but I think it would be cool to have a (male) Qunari from Dragon Age. I haven't seen a doll that is muscular and bulk enough or with a masculine enough face for what I'd want though.

I'd love to have cosplays for Ib, Mary, and Garry from the game Ib. I played it last weekend and though it's horror, which is totally not my genre, I just loved the atmosphere and the telling of the story.

And Garry. Mostly Garry. Mainly just Garry. 99% because Garry. The wig would be difficult though. Though random black antennae crowning the top, I just don't know how I'd do that.

Aside from that, I'd love doll cosplays for Tales games like Symphonia, Abyss, and Vesperia, and then the style in The World Ends with You is also awesome. Ace Attorney! So many great character designs, especially some of my favorite ladies like Trucy and Ema. The main leads from Dark Cloud 2, one of my all-time favorite games, would also be awesome. Lastly, this would be omg sooo sooo difficult, but Legend of Dragoon, oh man, those cosplays would be amazing...

 

Thank you everyone! Aoba was actually the second doll I ever got, December 26th two years ago! Since then I've had sculpt for all the other characters picked out, but if I were ever going to make another I think I would stop at Koujaku, who would be Dikadoll BaiXuan.

As for Mettaton, I think I've decided on LLT Edria with half-open eyes, and I'll be dyeing him grey! I'll probably also get a female body and do an FtM mod to keep the nice hips~

 

I would love to (and plan to) have my three dragon age PCs as characters. (The Warden as an Elf Mod Elfdoll Soah possibly, Hawke as an IM Hound, and My Qunari Inquisitor as idek who yet.) But if I get so many bioware OCs I'd have to get my Shepard, too haha.

 

I'd love to have my Final Fantasy XIV character as a BJD! She's a miqo'te so it shouldn't be too difficult, but I can't sew so the white mage outfit would be difficult. All the cat sculpts I've seen haven't fit right.

I've even cosplayed my character myself, so I think the icing on the cake would be to have her as a doll
