DayDream Dolls Discussion Part 1

Thank you so much Riya-chan, that means a lot to me.
Oscars new clothes arrived, it's an old outfit by The Pages designed for Bluefairy and sold by Sora*Iro, for anyone who doesn't know, The Pages are actually the people who created Daydream, so it's almost like he's wearing a Daydream outfit, you can see the similarities.
His shirt should be tucked in, but I liked it this way too.

It is old fashioned compared to what he had on, a totally different look! I wish there was something a little more in between. It's such amazing quality though, anyone who owns Daydream outfits or an outfit by The Pages will know they can't be beaten.

I have just take a compare photo and want to share it~
Hope it can help others to know more the DayDream body.
I found that the lady body have the same high as the MSD, so the girl body should be shorter than MSD and may be same high as the Holiday.

Please don't take serious for the skin colour comparison as I have poor lighting at home. The colour in the photo is far from what I see.

Frankly speaking, I don't like Grace's new face up at all :\ though I adore her sculpt xD

I ordered the girls dress only, so I look forward to that, but I do not have the girl to wear it yet, I have not decided who I want.
I much prefer Grace's new face up and wig, the face up looks really similar to the special custom one I had! I always thought they'd gone a bit too heavy with her original face up, this one is lighter. Love Evan, as always! Whenever I see him I want another!!

Im trying to save money for it but $ course for my country is so awful so I don't know if I can buy the doll by Nov-Feb as planned

 

Usually doll company will issue disscount / special event at the end of year.
Hope Ruble will rise at the right time.

 

I assumed coz Xiao(Chloe) is having health issue.

 

I'm really sorry to hear about the health issues, I hope she is okay soon, they have always been the kindest and most accommodating company I have dealt with. Don't worry Riya-Chan, I'm sure they will be on sale by the time you are ready to buy one.

Isn't that.... all?? of the bodies they have?? Are they doing a rework of all their bodies already??

Sorry, I don't know any information other than what's outlined in this announcement.

 

I think maybe the Fair Lady body, which is the updated Lady body, would still be available, and then maybe the new Boy body they released recently?

I'm personally glad to hear they're committed to renewing all the bodies though. I'm not sure of the posing difference between regular and Fair, but I've heard the regular bodies now don't have good posing, so I hope this means they'll be much better when renewed! Since I don't have plans to buy from them for quite a while, the wait is no problem.

Once they come out with a tan and some more face choices, I'll get really excited =B . I hope they don't stick with that pucker-faced style of their two latest sculpts though.

 

Don't even speak of such a possibility, hobbywhelmed, 'tis blasphemy!! XD It would ruin all my plans forever! If they tossed the tall Prince body without a renewal, I, I don't even know what I'd do anymore.

almyki, I def agree on the two latest "jowly" sculpts. They definitely weren't the cute/simple/stylized faces I've come to expect from Blue Fairy/Minoru World/Day Dream!!

 

Thanks hobbywhelmed! That's great to know. I can do waiting patiently, hahaha. I hope after they do the body renewals, they'll release more face sculpts, heh.

So I really want a Daydream Evan but I am worried he'd look strange next to my other minis. I'm curious what everyone's thoughts on that is. People with dolls from different companies, what do you think of their proportions compared to others? Pictures only do so much after all.
