DayDream Dolls Discussion Part 1

I'm still struggling lol. I'm a terrible perfectionist and drive myself crazy so I need to choose the right one. I actually dreamed about the face-up last night, in my dream there was too much red...

 

I just wanted to add that I've now ordered my Juliet .

 

WOO! I meant to reply, I have had a mad couple of days and some bad news, sorry. However I'm really happy for you, what did you opt for in the end? ^^

Hey, and I got the email this morning to say my Juliet has shipped!!

 

They are going to use less red in her face-up and were really nice about it . I'm looking forward to seeing your girl.

Thank you, I'm looking forward to getting her! Frustratingly, she's been loaded into the delivery van here in Britain but it's a 4 day weekend so I won't get her until Tuesday! It wouldn't be a problem if I didn't know how close she was!!
Hopefully my bad news is over and done with (fingers crossed) but either way, I'm hoping this will be a pick me up!
Did you get your Juliet fullset or just on her own?

I almost begged someone to drive me to the depot yesterday to pick he up, but I thought it was a bit excessive, 40 miles away, I should just pull myself together and wait the 4 days!

I feel your pain, I hate the wait when I know they're in the country. I love that my husband has easter off work but I'm expecting a doll dress which should have got here yesterday and now I won't get it until Tuesday. Much patience is needed in this hobby!

I didn't order the fullset although I ordered a wig at the same time from them. It's a short red one which I hope will suit her. I usually go brunette with my dolls but fancy a change.

 

Oh, I can't wait to see her! Their wait time is pretty good, I hope you'll have her soon.
All my dolls end up blonde, I can't help it, I just love that look! I've got one daydream wig at the moment and it's so beautiful but it's strawberry and a little warm for my girls. I hope to get more soon as I want a new wig for my TF May and I'll need wigs for my Evan and Grace, Daydream wigs are lovely, all the dolls I want seem to have come at once so I've had to prioritise. I have gone for Brunette with my Juliet though as I always liked the way she looked in the default set, though I went for the holiday choice set, so it'll be short and dark.
Tuesday tomorrow, we'll both get our things!!
I'm so nervous, I know I've been waffling! I hope I like her! ><

 

I've had a few new dolls (most off topic) lately and ordered Juliet knowing that the others needed clothes and shoes. At least this one has got hair, my Planetdoll was bald for 2 weeks.

I love the holiday choice set and can't wait to see pics. I'll be stalking your flickr :P.

 

I'm so impatient! I have stayed in today to make sure I don't miss the parcel, but I've wanted to be out in the lovely sunshine!!!
Only an hour left for delivery, she's fashionably late! I have a few other outfits lined up for her, but I love the holiday choice dress too!

Well the pullip dress I was hoping for today hasn't come so I hope your doll arrives to cheer me up! :P

 

Nope, and I'm hopping mad! Mostly because the shipping status didn't say it was in transit (just loaded to vehicle) so I phoned them and they promised it was in the area and would be here by 5pm. I stayed in all day even though I needed to go out to sign some important documents. Huff, now I'm grumpy!
Sorry yours didn't come either!! :\

Also, I'm totally overreacting I know, I've just been so stressed recently, I really wanted this.

 

Grumping over, my girl arrived! I hope no one minds the double post, I wanted to post a photo separately. She totally rejected the default wig, the style wasn't right for her and it didn't go well with the eyes I picked out either. She looked best in this wig, much as I'm loath to admit, a blonde one. ><
No name as of yet, I'll choose one if I bond with her, this photo is just for reference. ^^


In other news, PaiPai has sold her sleeping Coco head to me (for which I am eternally grateful!) and it's going to Daydream to get the official face up. She'll be my first sleeping doll (and will probably share Lady body with my Grace).

 

I know what it's like to be disappointed in the hobby when you're struggling in "real life". I hope you've got your girl today and you love her!

She is very pretty and the dress is wonderful .
I hope to be able to chose a wig for my Prince Sally soon so I can show him here.He is very cute but I found it hard to get to know him.It feels like he should be either his own younger brother . Perhaps I need to get a Ryan head for the prince body and a smaller boy body for Sally.

I love the way you styling her. She look fresh on this wig and the feeling is totally different from the official photo.
I think the eyes is nice and which eyes you are using?
I find difficulty in choosing the right eyes for Juliet > <
Luckly July is not far and the Hong Kong Doll event is comming. I hope I can find an eyes match her.

i realy admire the colour scheme you chose for her eyes and hair, very downplayed colours but still charming and just makes her look so sweet!

Can you guys tell me if the store shipping is fast? I'm interested in a daydream doll but I don't want to wait for a long time.

 

It's certainly not bad, I recently ordered a doll and it took 3 weeks to dispatch, but It was a holiday choice doll, ordered after the holiday choice had ended so it was out of the ordinary. Compared to most companies they're pretty fast, but compared to BF they're a little slow.

PaiPai, the eyes are bluefairy original glass eyes 16mm - maroon. To be honest they look brown most of the time, but the pink ribbon has made them look a pinky colour.
