DearMine Doll Dear Shine Line

Nov 24, 2012

    1. Yes, both are the fine normal skin. Personally I would have loved a white skin version myself though. I am just not that big on true NS anthros. My 'beige' Pipos Hopen is about as close to NS as I am ever willing to go in an anthro.
Either way, I do have to admit to liking the new Diana face-up over the previous...as nice as they both are.

    2. Well I received Wizard's reply to my enquiry stating that he would not be releasing a WS ver this winter, so as much as I love Diana's rose ear and incredible faceup(s), I would have to pass her up this time around *sob*

But we have good news! Wizard 'will make her body from spring of next year', whatever that means, so we probably could get Diana in full with Dear mine's resin colours sometime next year!

    3. That's good to know, cherishe. For me, I'll happily wait for a possible Pure White or White Normal release later.

    4. So, now that the Dianas are released, did anyone take the plunge?

I'm still thinking about what to do myself. On the one hand, I love the Jewel version and the event Rose ear. But, on the other, I'm concerned about getting her a body that works and, when DM does release a body for her, I'm not certain that the resin will match to the current heads.

    5. I haven't yet but I will be ordering the J Rose head now next month if all goes to plan. I would like to see how much of a match that resin shade is to BlueFairy normal as I think she would look great on one of the new Bluefairy SD bodies. Alternatively if Fairyland normal is a better match then a Feeble 60 body could be more the go.

    6. Did anyone ever get a reply on what company's skin tone she is supposedly made to match?

    7. I want to buy the J Rose head myself but I'm hoping it will be easy to find a resin match and I also want kitty paws and feet made for her and buy either a pipped tails for her and ill blush the paws and tail so the resin match won't matter. I can't wait I hope it order her after Christmas how about u guys what have u planed for ur kitties^^

    8. For me, I'll be ordering first and then seeing which NS resin type is the best match when she arrives. I'm really hoping most that she will be a good match for Fairyland / CP NS resin, especially if the upcoming FL event with mention of additions to the Feeple60 lines (I'm hoping basic dolls or at least releases with non fullset options so I can order a body) as I love FL's double jointed bodies and parts options. The Feeple60 line already has optional heel feet, too, which I love. I had heel feet for my Feeple65 Chloe who sadly I sold (and regret having done so as she really was gorgeous) and they do make all the difference when trying to fit lovely heeled pumps and boots.
I am now more than happy to think of Diana more as a Nekomimi rather than a true cat anthro after seeing the latest picture of J Rose that Dearmine posted on their Facebook account, and here's why. On the left here is My daughter, Kaja, and on the right, of course, is Diana J Rose:-

When I saw the resemblance I knew immediately that I now HAVE to get her! =^-^=

    9. I look forward to hearing your results Jenkat!! I think the FL60 body would be a great idea. I really want to buy the head.... but I am horrible at body matching :/

    10. Thanks Britt7399. :kitty1 And I'm looking forward to seeing Diana in person now! When I showed my daughter the uncanny resemblance she has with Diana J Rose she hasn't stopped saying since "Mummy, you HAVE to get her!".

Ah yes, the pains of body matching. You can get resin matched perfectly but scale-wise and shape-wise everything else can be completely wrong. And vice versa, absolutely the perfect body but such a wrongness in resin shade that no amount of blushing is enough to make you forget how bad the match is.

Anna, did you ever end up getting a response back from Wizard about what they were using to try to match Diana's resin type? I'd really like to know which body it is they've used but if they're not willing to disclose that I am hoping Dearmine would at least disclose examples of resin shade they were trying to match (that may well give a clue as to which body it is too.) It seems to be an almost yellowish NS shade, which rules out pinker resins like Volks & Luts. Knowing what I do of resin shade and looking at the positions of those hands, though, could that possibly be a DOT body she's on there??? Hmmm, I wonder. Looking more closely at her neck compared to the DOD DOT Girl New Body as well as the positioning of the finders on the hands I'm now almost convinced it is.The hands possibly look a little too small, though but that could just simply be the angle of Dearmine's photos.

    11. JenKat, wow, your little girl does look like Diana! I understand why you must have that sculpt!

As for resin match, I'm sorry that I forgot to update, but Wizard said that it will match Volks resin, which, as far as I can tell doesn't match CP's resin. I have Volks, Bluefairy and CP dolls that were all manufactured last year and they do not match; Volks is yellower than all of them.

My biggest issue with getting Diana right now is the resin. I do not want a Volks body for her - I just don't think that the bulkier body will look good with a delicate head like Diana's. I'd really like to find a body that I can put the head on before buying her because I hate floating heads! That, and Wizard also mentioned that when Dear Mine does release the body for the Shine line, the resin won't match the current head on sale, which is a bummer, as I wouldn't have minded too much waiting for the "official" body.

    12. Thanks, Anna. Ah, I also have recent CP and BF dolls and had been under the impression Volks was pinker, not yellower. Thanks for confirming that then! :kitty2
I've only ever had volks parts in white so far so I really didn't know for myself. Oh well, I have yet to own a true Volks SD or SD13 girls body ...looks like I finally have the perfect excuse. :kitty1

Dreaming Doll is supposedly a good match for Volks NS and I like the new Elva girls body so I am seriously considering a Dreaming Doll body as an alternative to hunting a Volks SD girls bod ...unless one magically comes up at a reasonable price on the MP.

    13. JenKat, thank you for bringing up Dreaming Doll. I didn't know much about this company, but I just took a look and I like that body. I think it would work better than Volks for the concept that I have in mind.

I just compared last year's Infinitidoll resin to last year's Volks and the match is not bad. It's not perfect, but I think it's workable.

    14. I had been wondering what the match was like for Infinitidoll NS, thanks Anna. The Volks SD body is a little too solid for what I'd like too so I guess it's between Dreaming Doll and Infiniti now.

    15. I'll work on taking some resin comparison pictures between Infiniti and Volks when it's not too overcast outside. Out of all the dolls I own, Infiniti comes the closest to matching Volks. Well, I guess that's not entirely true - last year's Aria resin is a decent match, but that company went out of business.

    16. Well, Diana J Rose is now 100% coming home with me...thanks to an early Christmas present from my hubby. =^-^= She will be joined by a blank Dear Lover Dune in Pure White & a number of dear pet parts. So excited to see her! I wish Dearmine was selling that blonde wig of hers. I would LOVE to know which companies' wig that is.

Such a shame about Aria Doll too as they made both gorgeous dolls as well as gorgeous bodies and parts too! Their girls' jointed heeled feet legs had such a similar look to Infiniti / Dearmine...and I looooved the fused foot heeled legs too...such a gorgeous feminine look! I would have snapped up an Aria girl body in a heartbeat!

I've known about Dreaming Doll for a wile...I love Sweet Rio (I have a real thing for toothy open mouths) and one of their boys, Dreaming Haji. So very well priced quality SD kids they make too! I only hope that when Diana is released as a whole doll, body included, that she is equally as reasonably priced. If Infiniti prices are anything to go by I would say she will be =^-^=

    17. I'm thinking of trying a sq lab body I think they have a skin tone that matches volks normal skin I've been wanting to get one of those bodies anyway

    18. Oh wow, Yurikun, I didn't know about SQ Lab & I love their SD Girls' Body! Love love love their hands options too, especially the heart hands! Thank you so much for putting them out there as a possible option. I wonder, though, at 53cm total including the head whether they might be a little small though!? From what I gathered, Diana is aimed more at bodies 58-62cm total, head included.

    19. Yeah I do too I've always wanted one of their dolls I love moe! You might be right it I'm not sure if it would bobbled headed or not but I may try it anyway and if she doesn't look good on it I just use that body for moe and if you want I can post pics so you can see what it looks like I also am thinking about a SD body for her I bet it would look really nice and the body poses really well it just expensive. So those are the bodies I'm considering^^

    20. Oooh, I love Moe..she is soo cute! I have only sen the Chibi Moe head for the YO sized SQ bodies and not an SD one though..is there also an SD one!
The SQ bodies are so very reasonably priced I had considered doing something similar with either a Miyuki, Ren or Ryoko head...at least then if the body is much too small for Diana I would still end up with another gorgeous doll.
I am thinking the Dreaming Doll Elva body will be my main choice for Diana due to size and proportion...I've seen it with Volks SD heads and they are an excellent fit for shape and colour (I think there are 1 or 2 pics in the Resin Comparison thread showing this from memory).
