It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Delf body Type 2

Apr 30, 2006

    1. <.< Kicky legs haven't been fixed? I'd think that'd be the first thing they'd do!

I like the head mechanism though. As much as I love pulling my dolls apart, the energy it takes to remove a tightly strung 60cm dolls head is not worth the pleasure of a random, new faceup...

    2. My Redemption does not have "kicky" legs. He stands like a dresm. He has been the easiest to pose out of all the dolls I have ever encountered. I am not sure if it is the new system or not. My first Tanning Lishe was the new system, and her knees popped so much it drove me crazy.

    3. What makes your Redemption stand so well? Is there a different leg sculpt? did they add "tabs" to the knees or something like Volks did? I'm curious to know if they improved the leg system or if it's strung better or differently.
      :?

    4. Uhh kicky legs can be fixed with restringing. It's not a flaw in the design of the doll at all and it's easily fixable..

    5. Sadly, after having 3 CP dolls, re-stringing is not the end all be all cure for CP dolls. :(

My girls have been restrung, sueded and wired and still have problems that my other dolls from different companies don't. I would like to see some changes like Volks made with their newer bodies. Knees that lock into place, those thigh tabs- something along those lines to help with better stability. It's not just kicky legs that are the problem- its the inability to stand at all. I'm really hands on with all of my dolls and frequently take them apart, restring, etc, etc. So it's not like I haven't tried many different solutions to help with the standing/kicky leg syndrome. Wiring seems to help the best, but it makes them hard to pose naturally. I'd just like to see a better design that melds form and function a little better.

    6. I played with someone's Elf Yder and he stood BEAUTIFULLY. I saw the spare head, and I don't think they have the new system? She said he wasn't wired or sueded. I admit to being impressed <3

However, if your going to ship a luts doll that has the new neck system, it might be best to de-string the doll, or at least remove the head and neck piece:

Since the neck is thinner, and the S hook is in the NECK instead of the head, the S-hook can "pinch" the neck between the hook and the head mechanism, and damage the neck. Two people on DOA have had damage occur this way.

      Edit for image tags :3

    7. My Shiwoo stood out of the box, but my others...nope. I think he's not strung so tightly.

    8. Here's a nice sparkly, glittery Rainbow, Kiyono.

:arainclou (just wait for the sun to come out)

      *Private Joke regarding another thread*

    9. I've noticed the girls have way more trouble standing than the boys. All my boys are a dream to stand and pose and have hardly ever given me any trouble at all, but I had a friend's Lishe here for a little while and she was a huge hassle to get to stand. And forget about posing. I think it was the boobs that made her kinda top heavy and caused her thin and shapely legs to buckle. :sweat

Also, I've been very wary of the new neck mechanism. Judging from Sm.'s pics up thread, the new neck looks far too thin to hold up to much pressure. :/

    10. There are few topics about it already so instead of creating new similar one I'll post here.
Is this mechanism swap works for girl bodies too?
I want one of Soo girls (was about to order lol) but I love new body (with lower joining..) and I wonder how swap looks like in girls case? Any difference in neck circumference?
      Anyone did that maybe?

    11. You can definitely take the neck connector off of a new style girl body and restrung it with an S-hook... But the neck diameters are different between new style girl bods and the old style.

Old girl bods have thin necks and the neck openings in old-style heads are sized for them. The new girl bod's neck is wider, so an old-style girl head might look a little odd on it... Sort-of like a pumpkin perched on top of a post. 0_o

    12. Crap ;_;
I love new body couse Soo girls don't look wierd on it.. neck seems shorter and they don't look like giraffe of some sort >.<

Thanks Brightfires ^^ I would make big mistake tommorow if it wasn't for you lol

    13. I went through the same "Well, darn. >_<" reaction when I got Sannru's bod. The new type girl body worked perfectly for her (She's a Vampire Elf Yder, so, her head has a larger neck opening than an old type girl would have-), but I figured out pretty quickly that there was no way I'd ever fit Daisy (My Dark Human Soo-) on one. Old style necks just look too long for her too, but new style bods are right out. 8P

    14. My nanuri fits well on my el's body, doesnt look out of place, apart from a longer neck than usual, and can turn his head and look up and down. Is it the same for others? Or is it the longer neck that puts people off?

    15. Unless your El is on a female bod, there *shouldn't* be any trouble with putting a Nanuri on his bod. They're both male heads and the neck diameters are pretty much exactly the same for either type. :|

What we're talking about here is moving female heads between different generations of bodies. The neck diameter of type 2 female bodies is larger than the neck diameter of type 1s. That makes type 1 female heads... especially the Soo girls, who sit oddly even on old style bodies... hard to fit on the new style of girl bod, without doing some modding to the neck opening of the head.

    16. And now I'm cunfused. I asked LUTS about bodies but something isn't right. They write that you can't swap heads (we know why) but same time they say that there's no way that old molds could ever fit new body.
      Don't know if I get this right but that should mean that they wont correct old molds to fit new body. Ok.. than.. why or how Lishe can have (since she's one of the oldest molds) choice between old and new body ?? O.o;
Anyone got Lishe on new body maybe?

    17. Right this second I have, sitting here next to me, a Vampire Elf Yder old-style boy head sitting on a new-style Mature girl body. Mako puts Beizi, her Nanuri (a new style head-), on Jessen's old-style El bod *all the time*.

It can be done no matter what Luts wants you to think. About the only combination that won't work without modding is putting an old style girl on a new style bod... and that's *only* because of the difference in neck diameter.

Lishe exists in both styles because they either updated the sculpt... something I assume they'll eventually do with all of the older models... Or they're using the Tan Lishe molds to make them, since all of the Tan dolls are new-style heads and bods.

    18. Heh.. yea.. I got that ^^ Boys swap is possible.

I've asked LUTS about Lishe just now and I must say they mess up totally..
Once they write that they won't update old molds so they could fit new body and next that Lishe indeed can be purchased with old or new body. It makes no sense to me couse if she is supposed to fit new body they had to update her... and they write they dont do that >.<
Been thinking as well about what you have written just now.. that maybe (just maybe) since tans have new bodies normal versions can be made in time (yay for DES) It shouldn't be any problem couse form exists already.. I really hope to see body option for DES soon.

    19. I know this is more about the new bodies - but I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything on new Delf sized Elves coming out??? Sorry for asking in this thread - I just didn't think a new thread was really necessary ....

    20. I haven't seen or head anything about them... but Luts is a little notorious for keeping mum on things like that, or giving out-right wrong information if asked. 0_o

That aside... I'd love to see an Elf Chiwoo.
'Talking about a *serious* concentration of Cute... :love
