Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases.       I was planning on getting Elf Yder, but since I sorta wanted to change his head often, I wanted the second body type. nice to know it's possible :D

    2. Uhm... no, Rukawagf. Unfortunately, it isn't.
      Not the way you're thinking, at least...

      You *can* put an Elf Yder head on either type 1 or type 2 bodies... but that's not going to make him compatible with the type 2 neck connection mechanism. You have to remove that connection piece and restring the body with an s-hook, just like a type 1 body, in order for his head to fit.

      Elf Yder is a Type 1 head. He will *NOT* work with a Type 2 neck connection piece.

    4. ok, so im totally confused. I *need* the VDES head to fit a mature (new) body...what do i do? Is this a hopeless dream or is there something i can do to make this work? She will be my first doll, and I really have my heart set on this. HELP!?

    6. It's been said that old heads wont fit new body.
      So no.. without modification (which noone has done yet) VDES head wont fit.. at last not untill they decide to make a new version. Noone knows if they will or when though.

    7. The Type 2 mature girl body's neck will be much too wide for the Type 1 VDES head. The only way you're going to be able to make that work is to *BOTH* restring the body without the connection piece *AND* mod the neck-hole opening of the head.

    10. Well, they type 2 girls body shows DES hands "Delf hands 8" and those are the ones I got when I ordered my body. The ones on the type 2 boy body look like El's hands "Delf hands 7". They make me giggle, the left one looks like it is about to grab a boobie. Maybe I am weird, but that is the first thought I had :sweat

      You can always ask Luts on the Q&A which one the body comes with for sure, but those ones would be my best guess.

      I have a DES and a Tan Lishe. I really like that you can just twist, and poof the head is off. I'm always afraid of damaging my dolls, so this is a plus.

      The bad news??
      I was reading a thread about 3 or 4 weeks ago, and it was the topic of the new bodies. You can't string them as tight because a lot of the body stress is on the neck. It'll crack the neck, if you are not careful. Also, the new bodies feel lighter and a little hollow. But that could just be me.

    12. I've bought several Type 2 option part bodies for my Floating Heads... and they've all come with *Chiwoo* hands, not El hands.

      I hope they will have the type 2 option on just the heads as well. I dont want to have to find someone to buy the body.

I've been strongly leaning towards an El as my next addition and would like to find out what the difference is between the Boy Type 1 body and the Boy Type 2 body - have had a look at the pics on the site, but not having much luck. When I look on the standard El page as well, it has the option of old/ new body in the drop down menu - is this the same as type 1 & 2 or something completely different again?

      I'm sure this has already been asked on DoA and I have had a look around, but keep getting distracted by the other threads that pop up during the searching...:sweat

      So if someone could explain to me the difference, or point me in the direction of a thread that can answer my query would be much appreciated.

    15. If you look at luts it tells you how to restring both type one and two. You can see the differences there. (mainly the neck mechanism).

      I take it then it is only the neck part that is different, the rest pretty much the same as the old body dimensions wise.

    18. Hiya! Question: Is it possible to put the type 2 mechanism into another doll body? I have a type 2 head which I am putting on a Domuya flexi body. Is it possible to take the type 2 mechanism off of a CP body, and transplant it onto another body? Or is the mechanism need to be on a CP body to work? Thanks!!! :)

    20. I'd like to get a Miyu with Type 2 Mature body, but does she only come with pointy hands?

      sweet_robin, as far as I know, the waist joint is lower on the new type, as well as an extra piece on the neck for the new body.
