1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Did your "Grail doll" remain your grail doll?

Jun 23, 2015

    1. I'm still relatively new to this hobby, which I think is why my "grail" doll keeps changing as I learn about more BJD companies and sculpts. I really badly wanted a Luts Litchi when I first learned about these dolls, but over time that's changed to different sculpts from different companies. So maybe I haven't found my real grail yet?

    2. My first grail was a Dolfie Dream, as that's what got me started into the hobby. But once I saw the realistic sculpts, I abandoned the anime look. My grail now is something I'll probably never see (as an edition of 20!), but I can't imagine her being knocked off her pedestal.

    3. Back in 2006, my grail doll was a CP Delf EL (sd) <XD Which was a very popular mold back then.... now I don't like it as much... and I really don't think i'd own one. As of right now in the hobby, I don't have a grail anymore.... just more "like to own/find" one day. which quite a bit of them are Lati dolls. I do have other dolls i'd like to collect... I guess I am more for collecting.... then Grailing.

    4. No, I had a grail doll when I joined the hobby and I thought I would never get over it but I found looking back on it it's still a wonderful doll and sculpt but I don't think I would call it my grail anymore.

    5. I totally agree with you UnTold! I've only been a part of the bjd community for about 8 months and I've already had 3 "grail" dolls :XD:. I'm think I'm always seeing the potential in all dolls; all of them have a uniqueness that I feel I can put a personal touch on. I'm currently working on my Fairyland Sia and so far I'm very satisfied!
