I got an Annabeth head a couple of months ago for about $150 as well, and she was blank and all, but at least it wasn't a head bought the day before that for $50...

On a more positive note, I'm happy for everyone's Laia's and Larina's coming! And @nattherat, you did an awesome work with Jadu! She's quite a character with the scar and outfit.

 

Hi all, I just wondered if there is anyone like me who hasn't received their shipping notice yet? Denny told me all orders would be shipped this week tops, but apparently not mine...

That's all very disappointing re selling DIM heads for inflated prices right after receiving them... I got my Annabeth/Felix head second-hand too and he did cost double the original price, but he was coming with wonderful professional makeup, so totally worth it.

 

I don't think I have my notice yet, either? At least I didn't receive an email about it...

I asked him about it, because I haven't got any tracking number yet too. He answered that due to the thanksgiving holidays all orders will be shipped next week.

If it helps anyone, I figure I should mention that Denny emailed me directly and it wasn't through Paypal.

I'm stuck on what bodies to order for my heads (they have arrived). I'd like something that's in the slim mini category for ease of clothes finding/sharing. Does anyone have a minifee and any of the common hybrid bodies (Myou, Doll Leaves, Doll Chateau, Dollzone, Dream Valley etc) that could confirm clothes sharing ability? I'm trying to compare measurements but I'm still not sure!

My search for comparison photos hasn't been fruitful either.

There’s a solid chance I won’t be able to take photos of mine for years (finances, fun times), so I need to live vicariously through others!

 

He shipped mine and emailed me, but my gmail account apparently likes to eat random emails (not in spam or anywhere). The heads were shipped on the 19th. Getting a white Laia (which I'm 99% sure I don't have, just NS, but knowing me I'll find it hiding away somewhere!) and a white Ace.

 

I got my Laia head today! I mostly bought her out of panic, and have no firm plans atm I might put her on a body for a few pictures, but I don't know when she'll have her own body or faceup or styling...

 

My boys made it, only one has a body but here he is !

But WOW I knew Ace had a big head but I wasn't quite prepared for HOW big it is. It's almost bloody sd sized!
He's gonna need a TALL body.

He's about the same size as my Jullis I think, who works totally fine on a 1/4 body. DIM heads have huge skulls but their faces end up kinda small and similarly sized, so I feel like with the right wigs the discrepancy between the head sizes is hidden a lot.

@purple_monkfish congrats on getting your heads lol that’s what I said about Julis I ordered a WS Universedoll 1/4 body as it had similar measurements to DIMs old boy body. It’s about 47cm tall- I wanted a taller than average MSD but shorter than 50cm. When I get it I’ll post pictures of it

 

I'm so excited for everyone's dolls arriving, it's so wonderful to think about all the new, lovely dolls and characters to meet with the new wave of DIM heads! I am trying not to beat myself up for selling my Larina to the person who flipped... thank you everyone for the supportive comments about that. For now I am focusing on excitement for my incoming doll, who Dvora (my Laia) is eagerly awaiting for.

 

Sorry for the double post! Wanted to share my experience with this.

I have seen a number of people with Minifee heads on MYOU bodies, and it seems the proportions are fairly similar and the two bodies are able to share clothes. Many of the owners I see have both Minifee and MYOU bodies.

I have had a Doll Leaves body and they are fairly easy to dress, most slim mini clothes fit them well! The shoulders are a bit more narrow than Minifee, from what I remember, but this body was one of the easiest to dress that I have had.

With Doll Chateau the biggest challenge is proportions. Very slim body with longer limbs, and the girl body has wider hips. Dvora is on a DC body, and it can be hit-or-miss whether clothes will fit or not. I tend to choose styles that are more flowing and not form-fitting for her, anyways, which helps.

Dollzone, the biggest challenge I had with the girl body (B45-014 I believe), was the hips. Pants meant for Minifee never fit her unless they were very stretchy.

I've never had Dream Valley and not seen a lot of info about dressing them yet, but I hope you can find more information because they are really lovely bodies. I know one thing is some of the MSD bodies are taller than average slim minis, so that is a factor to consider.
