My head was kept away in a box for so long before I got him a body because I'd see the head and be like, "Damn, I'm sorry... D:"
Now he just looks like he's glaring at me all the time waiting for proper Loki like items. I only work part time min wage, he should be happy he has a body and clothing at all. lol

 

My little Hiddleturkey is body-sharing with my equally devious and smirky super gem at the moment, primarily because I can't settle on what body to get to satisfy the prissy douche and his exceptionally high standards. If I wasn't dealing with WS versus NS, I'd probably just say screw it and let them share indefinitely, but...

On another note, has anyone seen or acquired this blue Sadol suit (http://esadol.com/shop/step1.php?number=292&b_code=B20110124051320&c_code=C20110124051447)? It lacks a waistcoat, but it's a dead ringer for the blue Cannes suit. Still hunting for the perfect 1/3 size Thor houndstooth scarf! One day...

 

Currently saving for a suit for mine. So expensive but so worth it for proper fit.

 

I sent measurements and they are doing custom size with no extra charge as the feeple body didn't come that close to the ones they listed either. You just give them a note with the paypal payment with measurements , changes etc... I can't wait to see them all in their outfits there will be some serious spam coming!

I love mythological Loki and can't wait to see your boy! Maybe I will be more brave and try Taobao for Thors outfit.

Kim the one my boy is wearing is from blue blood doll and they are nowhere near as expensive as others i looked at and you now know it fits the feeple body. I was looking at one from Crobidoll but it cost a lot more.

I am really enjoying seeing all our Loki's coming together and getting outfits etc... Is it just me or do others find that Loki demands more (attention, cloths, props etc..) than any of your other bjds?

 

Nope, he can't. I only got one "open space" for another large doll and that's been taken by LLT's Ludwig (if he's ever released) for the past three or four years. If I get a body it'll be one for my two floating Volks heads so it won't match the Loki-head anyways. Sorry, Loki - it's all about priorities. Until I can figure out if I can accommodate more larger dolls, you'll live in a box. XD

 

Reading your comment Khell, mine is just very happy, I put my foot down, and got him home, with a body. For me there were no other priorities, just no more space.....Whatever^^

Well, about the prop thing.... Interestingly enough, no. Mine is subtil enough to contact my muses instead of demanding directly and be patient. If they screem loud enough, sooner or later I'll be sitting down and making the things he wants to have^^. He's getting his norse mythology outfit done right now.....Adding details here, demanding things there.Well, and I can't get him his second head until it's released.
My smal Loki though, that one is a demanding little imp. After I messed up the armor outfit three times and nearly throu a fit he quited down and is satisfied with his yoSD stuttgart suit for the moment.

 

Kavarr - Oh, I have mine picked out, and it's prob the most expensive of the bunch but really, I love their clothes and have always wanted one of their suits. This is as good a reason as any other. Now choosing the colour, that's been tough. I keep waffling between black or blue for that Cannes suit Tom wore. I'd love to put together his Avengers costume but man I hate sewing. I do enjoy prop making though, so I'll prob at some point take a weekend to try and sculpt some things.

I've been pretty good at not buying anything for this guy beyond his body, which I had never planned on getting, but I saw it in person at a meet and it was hard to pass up such a good deal when it was so convenient. Really getting into comics actually killed most of my doll spending, which is sort of a good thing?

It will be nice to see other people's dolls get more and more finished

 

The sad thing is, I'm waiting for my taobao agent (dealer. Let's be honest, cheap doll stuff is crack) to ship my order I JUST paid for, and already I'm planning on getting that outfit for him. I was going to make it myself! Really I was! But... so lazy... I do need to get him a suit still too, I'll probably go with black so if he allows it, my Yakuza bastard can wear it too (lol yeah right).

My tale of body acquisition is a sordid affair - lol I had always planned on getting a body for him at least, but I think he went through 3 of them? Seems about right. Technically 5 if you want to include the ws Soom body and blue mirodoll body for his jotun head...

 

The Etsy seller just got back to me and she was able to organize getting the material with the scaled down print. Mine is going to be 48cm x 4cm including the fringe and she will put up a custom listing for me in the next few days. I will know the exact price then. What suit has he conned you into getting? I went with black cause that's the only choice BBD had and I was just happy to find one that fit and didn't need to be a custom job. You know it's really difficult to spend money on another hobby sometimes but I just bought some more comics and action figures lately too. We can't spend all our cash on that spoilt brat!

Hahaha that sounds just like Loki. He would only accept the best (and probably most expensive) of the bodies! Your poor Yakuza guy might have met his match with Loki but if you get the other outfit as well Loks may just have to learn the meaning of share!

 

Perfect, thank you for the link! I think I had that 1/6 size scarf in my Etsy cart for my Hot Toys Loki at one point before they came out with the entire suit ensemble, lol. Might get one anyway just in case! Thanks to Barbie & Co, I have plenty of junk hoarded for my greedy Hot Toys Loki, too - I did find a cheap, reasonably passable houndstooth scarf for him (http://www.barbiecollector.com/shop/doll/tim-gunn-collection-barbie-accessory-pack-2-w3484 - they're all over eBay if anyone has a teensy Loki dolly of any kind to accessorize!), but no luck on anything 1/3 size yet. The hunt continues!

 

Kavarr - ha, I'm working on a Freedom Teller suit for him. I have been coveting some of the pieces friends have from them, and so my mind had been made up. It's now deciding on what color because they're all so tempting. Collecting comic art makes collecting these dolls look cheap, so it's definitely helped me at least really rethink all doll purchases really, really well before making the plunge, and I do really want this suit lol

 

Freedom Teller stuff is amazing... I can never get over how much detail they can jam into one (relatively) tiny suit. I can't imagine getting such perfect welt pockets on something so small

Comic collecting does seem to be the natural enemy of bjd collecting. I too just bought a bunch to finish out my run of Young Justice and have a Batman statue that cost as much as a mid-range SD lol. Now, do I want another doll or the Wonder Woman one that goes with him XD?

 

Psychobarfly she has the tiny ones listed but she will do a custom order for you if you want the 1/3 size. I first saw the human cosplay size she had listed and thought I would ask about the possibility of the bjd size. I'm also going to end up getting the suit combo for my hot toys boy! We are hopeless slaves to Loki, you do know there really is no hope for us?
Freedom teller do have some great cloths Kim. I can't wait to see how he looks in one of their suits!
Neonraver I understand that difficult decision so well. For meit is always a choice of action figure, manga/anime, comics or bjd and bjd usually wins out but not always!

 

Yeah I really am just boggled by the details and fit of the Freedom Teller clothing. It's amazing. I really like their pea coats as well, but I think I can resist one of those. For now. Hopefully I'll be able to order it soon and I will be able to share how the fit is on the Feeple 65 body.

I'd love to see the 1/3 scarf in action - I'm going to pester the seller as well, and maybe if she's got time she can whip up a pair for us at once and save herself some trouble!

 

Got the custom order from threnodi today and the cost for a SD17 size scarf is $25. She told me she had to order enough fabric to make about 8 so if anyone wants one go for it!

Kim those damn conventions are dangerous for folks like us. Why do all the good things cost so much?

I have a blue blood doll 5 peice suit for Andrew, love it!!!

 

Decided to try Loki's head on a Ringdoll grown body today just for the heck of it and it turns out the fit is amazing. I was his Jotun head so I used B&W to cover up the dreadful resin mismatch. The neck size fit like it was made for him and the 72cm body has good proportions. Excuse the poor quality pic but my lens is off being fixed and I had to use a not so great camera.



For anyone still looking for a body for a NS head it would be a good option.

Thor was not as impressed as it made him look sort of short and stocky!!!
