He got festive and playful.

 

He was a Christmas present from last year, but little Thor finally arrived on Christmas Eve. He's still a work in progress but ugh so cute.

 

Bambistark- the helmet is looking great so far, and the idea with the candy bars.... can he get any sweeter?

Stella- I love your pic, the combination of the sock, the boots and those cute boxers is simply fantastic. The hut just adds a festive note, and more cuteness. *don't let him hear that I called him cute, me doesn't wanna die*

Congratulations on little Thor, Kim. Way to celebrate christmas, with a long awaited little resin god. He looks adorable already, I'm intrieged how sweet he'll be with a face up.

I suppouse we are all somewhat distracted otherwise. But I remember something about lingerie.... here my little contribution. The irony, the pics look far better, than in person.

 

He really does not look amused ikke777. Tell him he is soon going to have his own Tony Stark to torment and that should cheer him up. Not that it's going to stop his demands though.

Thanks Ikke, I'm lucky that at the moment he is distracted with a new pet and has forgiven me the lingerie fiasco. But I'm not going to repeat that shoot any time soon, don't want him all demanding again^^.

Well I just bought something early for my birthday in a few weeks. Funny how my present is actually for Loki though. I decided to get a Resinsoul bigger blue body for his Jotun head. He will be taller and thinner on that body but I figure that will be fine for a frost giant. Looks like there may be two versions of Loki home to greet/torment my Tony Stark when he arrives

 

Put the spoilt one into his Avengers outfit today and he is still wearing it as I can't be bothered taking it off again

OMG YOU GUYS okay so I juuuuuust got my little darling back from the spa, aka Iryna at Whispering Grass who is amazingly talented! ♥_♥ (She is the character realism master - you guys with custom RDJ heads on the way will definitely want to check her out when the time comes, you will fall even more in love with your little genius billionaire playboy philanthropists! Ahh the temptation to join that GO, it plagues me...) But I mean, just look at this awesometastic photo session My Precious starred in with his fellow clones! It's no wonder he likes visiting her house so much... A few more naughtier clonecest scenes are on Tumblr here and here for those interested, ehehe. I'm going to have to hire his majesty an agent for his budding adult film/lingerie model career at this rate. After all, he's already got the opiate habit part well in hand...

Anyway! Whoa, he looks like an actual person now! An especially evil, malevolent little person, which is of course what Loki strives to be on most days of the week.

Super clever, this boy. I'm sure he will totally outwit that pesky hammer as soon as the camera is off and all witnesses are killed slowly, intimately, in every way he knows they fear have vacated the premises! So sneaky.

But asdhsjdkfd seriously cannot wait until it's time to bring home big brother! It's so limiting to put Thor's wig on random dolls and film them exclusively from behind...or crop their heads off. Clonecest must get boring for the trickster after a while, poor baby. He needs minions friends! Preferably who aren't all women and babbus, lol. )

So guys, what kind of eyes are you using in your boys? What is the deal with nothing really fitting him very well?? I've never really tried many eyes on him until just now since he has been blank and it seemed pointless to bother, but...the only thing that seemed pretty decent were squishy silicone eyes (and of course all of mine are slightly too small and make him look like a beady-eyed serial killer lol). Or enormous ones where he looks a little too innocent sweetie-pie kawaii with all iris and virtually no white showing. I think I dropped 18mm in there with some wiggle room to spare, his eyewells are crazy big even if his eye holes aren't. >_> Hmm! This requires further study - for science!

Kavarr, aww I love that little comic! I hope your big Tony on the way knows what he's in for, haha - or maybe he can help stick up for HT Tony when Loki starts scheming. Surely the gratuitous shower scene was how bathtime really went down, one-on-one time with the Magic Eraser isn't nearly dignified enough for royalty... How exciting for your blue boy to have a body of his very own, though! Which RS color did you decide on? It should be awesome to send a part of him along for exact color-matching when his Jotun head goes back for faceup fixing! 3

Lucius, are you certain Loki wasn't just pretending to dislike his lingerie party? Once my murderous darling is finished sulking and being punished with hammer time, he and his clone buddies are all getting stripped and put into their underthings! Lingerie season is just getting started...nothing says Valentine's Day like kinky BJD bondage scenes, right? B-)

ikke777, any victories on acquiring that helmet and torque to complete your boy's look? Loki's patience only extends so far...and if he learns you've forsaken his needs to further your plans for Tony, you may not survive his wrath!

 

Psychbarfly he looks amazing! Iryna has done an incredible job. The eyes you have in him look great. I used 14mm in both of mine but the eyewells do have a small gap so I made sure to use white putty and I don't think it's noticeable. I know you can get customs made (bigger eye/smaller iris) if you really want. That wig looks perfect too. It is so hard to find one that doesn't have a part in it.
Those photoshoots of the Loki harem are hilarious. It could be Thor's worst nightmare or maybe he would enjoy it
I have to ask where did you get your Thor's hammer? It looks like it's the perfect size. I have slacked off and not finished mine yet. I can't wait to see how the Hemsworth heads turn out.

Pyschobarfly- I'm very sure he was not thrilled with the shooting. But that's why all of us have our own Lokis, mine seems to be the more *cought* shy* cought* side of him. (yeah, right, shy, *ejem* handcuffs) Or perhaps he only preferes the nude.

My Loki is using Thomas Eichhorn Nelson eyes, custome made in glass: 16 mm with 5.5 mm iris and 1.4 pupil aprox. (if I remeber correctly) Sadly the Eichhorn Nelson color sheme is not what I expected, and they are way to dark for my kamara. *whispered side comment* currently aviable for purchase if anyone is interested *whisper* Beauytful none the less.
When my financial situation allows for more dolly treats, I'll look up the Lauscher glass eyes, they have a very lagre range of combinations for relatively good prices.

psychobarfly, elas, RL is keeping me very busy. But it turns out my Loki has no sense of the passage of time, and so he hasn't noticed that there has been no movement on his trinkets. It really does help that he has putty for brains.

And yes, I know what you mean about the eyes being too dark; that happens very quickly with minimee heads. I always choose a very light color eyes, even if dark eyes are the correct ones; the dark ones make the eyes look tiny.

 

I know right? afsdhfljsdgh he is so pretty now, it's like a completely different doll! 33 Now I will have to see about getting even more bodies, since this little princess won't want to share with the rest of the clones, and the WS body he's stolen for now belongs to more than one head already. I have a good feeling about trying my SID body for the WG Chris head in the works, the neck sizes seem pretty compatible and it's got nice broad shoulders! Prepare thyself to share until I get my hands on another body, Eric. ))

Lucius, your Loki has clearly taken charge of your household! Maybe he's only shy when the lingerie and handcuffs come out to play? I've seen Lauschaer eyes before in much larger sizes, and they're really gorgeous! I wonder how well those lovely details would transfer into much smaller sizes? The unexpected darkness is another thing to consider, I'm sorry your custom eyes weren't everything you dreamed they would be! :/ Doll eyes in this house are pretty much completely at the mercy of the camera flash, haha. I don't even know if I want to get into custom eyeballs, those things get crazy expensive don't they?

The ones I put in him for now are 12mm glass (trying to achieve stormy blue Hiddles!Loki accuracy more than poison green canon!Loki accuracy lol, I think I might be alone in this with all your green eyed boys...oh well). They are oval shaped mini-reborn eyes with a relatively low dome, so I can sorta kinda get away with it with minimal corner gapping - I'm guessing that 12mm round eyes would look completely ridiculous. Sadly there will be no sly, flirty glancing off to the side for him! (

There's a lot of good eyeball finds in the reborn/babydoll/OOAK art doll categories on eBay - these low dome, flat-back, oval eyes are freaking awesome in so many heads. If I could get a pair of these in 14-16mm with the same size iris and pupil as the 12mm, I would be a happy camper!

Kavarr, your boy's eyes are also glass, correct? It's funny you should mention Loki's "perfect" wig...ahhh I have such a love/hate relationship with this new wig of his! It's the Taobao one (I think I posted about a while ago? My awesome friend was a sweetie and got it for me since I am a Taobao virgin). The slicked back, part-free look is effortless, and the hair is really smooth and soft and stays in formation without gel or other styling products, although gel would likely help to enhance the spikes in back lol. I haven't bothered, since he's been spending so much time on his back and would squash the spikes! Even more so than the Monique Taylor, this one must be arranged very precisely elsewhere, especially around his ears - pretty sure the wigmakers didn't anticipate the doll wearing it to be such a fivehead lol. It's got a very deep cap, so placing it so far back means he's got some empty space at the crown of his head and occasionally the wig just falls right off, silicone wig cap be damned...as it did frequently during this photo session. >:/ And that was when I gave up and put the messy Monique wig back on him.

So sometimes he looks like a spiky, sinister Christmas tree (as he should)...and sometimes he looks like someone's grandmother from the 1960's. You just never know how the pics are going to turn out. ) All part of his plot to get more pictures taken, probably!

Haha, how did I know you were going to ask about that hammer? :P It's actually a pen, they were TTWD promo merch! I guess they came with a special edition of the DVD or something? It's 13.5cm long and plastic but still quite heavy, the head is weighted to stand upright instead of laying on its side which can be a struggle. Since the handle/pen just rests in there instead of screwing into the head or something equally sturdy, the damn thing likes to separate a bit when I'm not paying attention and really can't be held in a realistic head-down dangling position, although things like this are perfectly fine (and encouraged!) so once I use up the ink I plan to glue it in there! On the other hand, it is nice having the ability to take it apart and stick the slimmer end of the handle through a doll's fingers, for those of us without the luxury of jointed hands. Also, there's a big black THOR logo on both sides of the head, which will require your choice of either removal/repainting, or a lifetime commitment to Photoshopping (which is why I am now shopping for a good silvery metallic paint lol, what an ungodly waste of time retouching every photo...). >_>

As a warning, there are (purely decorative, possibly metallic and admittedly better looking) 20cm versions similar to this from several sellers on eBay, and also what I imagine are smaller ones that are like, flash drives and keychains...BUT do not be fooled! This thing pinning down my little angel is 13.5cm from one end of the head to the tip of the handle, so look for dimensions like that if the sellers are kind enough to tell you sizing info. Lovely as they are, I fear the others would be awfully out of scale for boys our size! Basically, just prepare to experiment a lot. It seems to be feast or famine with finding these buggers - someone has one listed right now (that box with Thor on it is the exact packaging you will want to look for!) but it looks like they only ship within the US. >:/ Just keep stalking eBay, you will get lucky eventually!

ikke777, that's no fun! Maybe a dolly vacation is in order? You're lucky your boy has putty for brains...I fear what my little demons would get up to if they didn't have each other to distract themselves. The flipside of this being many needy little voices begging for similar things, haha. The squeaky wheel gets the oil...the clones know this and plot accordingly. >_>

And one more pic for spamming purposes! In his cell after being caught yet again trying to subjugate some small, pitiful realm somewhere ("You should thank me, I was doing them a favor, brother!"), weighed down with Mjolnir and fussed over by many babbus who are present to plead his case to Thor by pouting. Loki has trained them well! Thor's a sucker, he always gives in eventually...and then the kinky lingerie/handcuffs stuff happens, but that's a photoset for another day.

 

That is definitely what I call a power suit Lucius. He will have you all kneeling before you know it!
I agree about the dark eyes ikke777 being really difficult to photograph. My Loki's are a dark green urethane so I have to have light on them or they look too dark. I am in a dilemma over Tony Stark's eyes as I don't want them to look like little brown dots.
The SID body is a great size for a Thor Psychobarfly. They are so buff and those arms are pretty big. Knowing how lazy I can be I decided to order a hammer for Thor othewise he could be waiting forever. I got this one on ebay and I think it should be a good size. Love Loki surrounded by the babbus. They probably frighten him more than any threats Thor could make.
It's summer here so Loki decided to go outside and read a book. He just had to find a comfortable pillow





Edit: Had to add that Thor's hammer arrived today and damn that thing is heavy! Loki will probably sulk as I also bought Thor some new cloths. I figured it was about time as I am no closer to finding someone to make his movie outfit. Maybe we all need to pester the ones who made our Loki's outfits again.
