thanks all of you, but colds get worse before they get better, I had two very terribe nights, but I'm hoping for the best, I got my voice back at least.

I have nothing to contribute to the lether theme that is going, sorry.
But, since the little project got to it's final stage, and there has been no vetos from the rest of the orgas thus far, I can tell you... or show you:

Loki, mine to be exact, will be the face of our first cosplay ball: The night before the Revolution.
If you are anywhere near Karlsruhe (Germany) on August 22nd 2015, and are interested in cosplay/dancing/having an interesting night with very crazy (good crazy) people, you are welcome to come along. Website is not up jet, so I will restrain my need to share until (hopefully tomorrow) the moment it is, out of respect for the rest of the team working on it.
But Loki is up on the banner, and will be advertising said ball on the posters.
Biggest irony, most people who have seen the designs and don't know he is a doll, think he is some nice looking chic. I'm not telling him.
Now I'll stop ranting and get back to admiering Loki in lether.
[MENTION=12506]Stella[/MENTION] : you said it out loud, I was thinking it all along. But my Loki is fortunate, I do not have any Lolita dresses his size.

 

Our Thors look resigned to playing the submissive role in this theme neonraver247. Your boy look about to roll his eyes and say "Here we go again". I am tempted to blush a few of my guys nipples as it does look so much better. I have done it on pics of Thor in the past with photo editing and I think it looks good.

Oh Stella Lolita would be so funny. That is if Lox doesn't strike you down first! Mine is safe from that as I have no girls to pinch outfits from.

Can't wait to see your Loki up on the banner Lucius. Sounds like he is quite the celebrity over there! The non bjd crowd always think the guys are girls. Besides Loki is very pretty whether he wants to be or not. The cosplay ball sounds like fun. Can I ask who you are going as or will we have to wait and see? Good to hear you are recovering

 

Ok, so here we have my little work.



Looking back I wonder why it took so long to come up with, but that is the different between a proffesional webdesigner and an amateur doll collector. Both work with images, in a very different way.

Let's see, perhaps my Loki gets me up for a shooting or this weekend. ^^ *feeling a lot better*

 

Great banner Lucius. Don't tell Loki but he does look very pretty Is it being held in that building? It looks like a wonderful place for photos. You have such beautiful architecture all through Europe i'm envious!

I forgot I can now put up a pic of my Jotun boy with some fake snow (that stuff got everywhere) from the shoot I did for the doll market competition. He didn't win anything but I think that boy is spoiled enough as it is.

Well ar least a little bit^^. It really looks nice, the fake snow, in the pics I could not tell the difference. Loki seems to be a bit unsure why he is holding snow, I think he had planned a sunny dry shoot, to chill in the garden... Perhaps you got his respect that day, his human conjured snow:P

On that banner: Oh how I wish we could afford the palace... but alas we had to move the ball to the stdent assembly house, 0,5 km to the west *sigh* the restrictions of financial powerlessness. But the palace is one of the town's symbols, like when you say Paris, everyone thinks of the Tour Eiffel, or London and the BigBang... To bad, compared to those cities, Karlsruhe is a small country village. We only have a mini Versalles standing in the middle (open to the public, since it is the national museum of art and history and has a caffe ^^)

 

Love the banner, looks like it suits the occasion. Jotun!Loki is so beautiful. He has an innocence that Aesir!Loki completely lacks ;p

I had to promise Lox I'd commission him armour and he agreed to pose in the dress. So now I have to find someone who makes 1/3 scale armour ;p I coloured the dress green in Photoshop, it's actually white. it does not fit. Not matter how slender Lox is, the girl's dresses are way too small. I think he was secretly relieved.

Bahahahahaha Loli Loki! Stella I can't stop laughing at Lox in that dress. The whole pic is just so damn funny. Oh I can only begin to imagine what RDJ would say if he finds this one! You did an amazing coloring job too. I would have thought that was the dresses real color.

 

I had a lot of fun with the photos but I don't think it's more or less twisted than Loki in fetish leather. Both have a lot going for them!



I made a version where I coloured the blouse black. I'm not sure which I prefer.

 

Both black or white look good Stella. I love the fun we all have with our Loki's it makes it always fun to see what is going on in this thread

 

True Kavarr! I'm not great with craft materials but on this rainy Sunday I did have some fun with Photoshop:



(I tried to pose Tony on Lox' shoulder but he absolutely refused and then it looked awkward so I just planted him on top of Lox' head and somehow that worked.)

 

Great job with photoshopping. I am not yet very good with smoke. I notice tiny Tony has yet to get rid of that bow. I think he must secretly like it. Either that or Lox has magicked it so he cannot remove it

The dress is simply fantastic on your Lox, and the colouring job is great. I like the black blouse more, it's more consistent in the colouring of the whole coord.
But what I love the most about the pics, is Lox rather dark expresion. Those meanancing, green, glowing eyes are my favorite. How is that saying: Lolitas aren't allways nice ^^.
It reminds me of a cosplay made from a fanart I saw on DA of a Loki Lolita. Fantastic work as a cosplay, I would have done some things different as a Lolita. But I digress...
Great work with the photoshop smoke pic too. I love your Lox with the shining eyes, they are just the right colour, and they look fantastic. The green magic-smoke is love too, and Little Tonys attitude to the bow.... He is so utterly cute!!!!!!! (I am not someone to collect figurs, but I'm falling hard for him, I know he will be comming home soon if I can...(hope you don't mind))

The consequences of attempting to cheat the sons grandbabbus of Odin at Go Fish, and the subsequent subjugation. (Spoiler: it doesn't end well for card shark Stark.) The concurrent game of strip poker the grownups had going on the side, however...well. Some games, Loki plays to lose. And then everyone wins!...after the babbus go to bed, of course. IDEK, this one kind of got out of control with props. Messy babbus! )

I am still loving all of these fun pics everyone is posting though! I can't decide which of yours I like best, Stella - I mean, who can choose between the naughty peasant slut we have with the white sleeves, and the gothic loli-trash vibe the black sleeves pic has going for it? Can such a choice even be made? I guess if Loki had a dagger to my throat I'd have to go with naughty peasant slut, as I am a fan of contrast. That swirly, smoky green magic pic is also awesome! Tiny Tony seems quite attached to his new bow...

I hope you're feeling much better by now Lucius! Loki won't stand for having you ill and neglecting him for too long. Maybe you can earn his forgiveness by putting his portrait on more adverts? Will he be attending the party with you in August?

Next up: Loki in his Baby One More Time trashy Britney schoolgirl outfit! But that may be a while until I can film it properly because life is irritatingly busy, boo hiss. >:/ So many outfits, so little time and patience to stuff this brat into them lol. Embarrassing him is a full time job.

Hi everyone! I'm getting a secondhand DIM Tom head soon - may I join your lovely little family? ^_^ Also, I read through the entire thread - 8/9 wigs and 16mm eyes work best? I buy custom eyes for my dolls to get smaller irises anyway so I'll probably get him 16mm eyes with a 12mm-equivalent iris.

 

Hi Nyara congrats and welcome to our Hiddles mad little thread! I have 14mm in my Loki and the iris is on the largish size so for realism the smaller iris would look good. Are you making one of Tom's characters or the man himself? Either way I can't wait to see what you do with him

Thanks, Kavarr! Pretty sure I've seen you around the Aussie FB group a few times. ^_^ Technically he's going to be an OC of mine but he kind of looks like Henry V... I'm currently trying to find someone who can do a faceup with facial hair.

 

Yep i'm in a few bjd fb groups. The only artist I have commissioned for a doll with facial hair is AngelToast. She does amazing work and did my Thor and is doing my Tony Stark now. She is based in the US though so shipping costs a bit (I won't send a head without insurance and tracking) but well worth it. I love how Hiddles looked in The Hollow Crown series. Now I really can't wait to see yours when he is completed. Have you chosen a body yet?

 

I figure I'm going to have to send him overseas no matter what I do - I really want to go with someone reputable since he's been a grail of mine. I figure the shipping will cost no matter what, and I'd rather pay for the artistry of a good face-up for him. I'm really looking forward to getting him all together, currently waiting on the wig I wanted for him to come back in stock... I'm planning to get him the 60cm Mirodoll body. I know it's a bit buff for Hiddles, but the character is a shapeshifter who turns into a wolf so muscles kind of suit him. Also he's supposed to fit in with the rest of my crowd, who are all 60cm except the kidlets. :P
