Yeah in the mean time i'm hoping she'll lend me this one for ComicCon!! I'd LOVE to make him his battle armor and carry him around!

 

omg! DOI is the body I have been looking to get. I'm so glad to see a pic. I'm definitely saving up for that now.

 

That DOI body looks perfect. Proportions look really good as well as resin match

 

Last week I tried my Tom head on several of my friends' doll bodies! (Though stupid me forgot to take photos) All of the bodies sadly did not match the color at all as the head was very pink and the necks were all too big. I'll list the bodies tried:
- Loongsoul 73cm body: This was the best match in terms of shoulder proportions but the neck was a tad thick.
- Volks SDGr: The neck was just so thick. Which is sad because it's so beautifully detailed.
- April Story Senior Boy body: This would have been a great match except for the neck.

TLDR: Must look for a body with a thinner neck. I'm kind of looking at Spiritdoll for now but none of my friends own one D:

I have been lurking here and admiring your Toms for a long while, and thought that minimees, no matter how undeniable perfect, were not for me. In the process of creating my own Loki I'm waiting on an russian artist to release her head (TNTTrololo---I love her Loki) and the thought stuck, that Loki is a shapeshifter, aka could have more than one head.
So if everything turns out as planned (crossing fingers now and praying my paypal actualizes), I'll be getting the first piece of Marvel-Mytological-Loki in the near future!!!!!!!
I'm so utterly happy and wanted to tell someone that would not roll her eyes at me because I just mannaged to get a 70cm doll into an overcrouded flat.

Congrats Lucius! You are definitely in the right place to squee over Loki/Hiddles My Loki has two heads (Jotun & Asgard) both of which are still off having face-ups and as you pointed out as a shapeshifter he can look however he chooses. Do you know what body you will go for yet? I will look forward to seeing him when you get him home

Because I had to considder expenses, and could not not-buy both heads, I've decided to go with miro doll 68cm. If I'm compleatly grossed out by the match/proportions/whatever, I'll change it of course. But from what I've seen this far, I think it could work pretty well.
I'm not afraid to mod/dye anything that needs to, so that may be an option too.
We will see when I have the pieces together.
I'm already working on the wig^^. Will be mohair, bought it raw for a nice price, have combed and washed it so far, but it still has to be dyed and made into a wig. The later step will not happen befor I have the head here, but I'll prepare as much of the materials as I can in the meantime.
For eyes.... they will be green, they will be glas. I'll see how the ones I have at home fit, but I was planing on a cetrain german company (forgot name) I found, with aceptable prices and beautyful realistic colors. Depending on the results, I will be changing a lot of eyes in the future :P

(Yes I'm still compleatly, utterly hyper about it, and hopefully will be for a looooooooong time)


Edit: YAAAAAA!!!!! He arrived today and I love him!!!!!!!!
So yes, even if now I'm smitten with a cairtain dark elfe of the same universe, Loki is and will be my priority project for the rest of the year^^.On to customizing.

His body arrived a few days ago, and now he has a bluch and a Face up.

Lucius your Loki is looking great. I love his wig it looks just like in the movie where he is grieving for his mother. The real Loki without the illusions. I love your little frost version too
Hopefully it won't be to much longer before I get my boys heads back. Damn that rainy season for slowing down his face-ups.
I got my Thor back last week from angeltoast and she has done a brilliant job and just how I wanted him to be. I know this is the Loki/Hiddles thread but I thought you may be interested in seeing him as a few of you are doing Thor too

 

The face up is beautyfull^^. And he makes quite a good Thor.
Hope you get your loki back soon, would love to see his face up, too.

 

Just got the pictures from Ticuk as she has finished my Loki's face-ups! I am so excited (and squeeing like a fangirl!) and can't wait for him to come home. Here is a pic she took for me (the eyes aren't his) and I am so happy. She has done an amazing job as always and I should have him home soon



Both Loki and Thor will have to wait for me to save up for their outfits so they will have to go casual for a while but I don't care as long as they are home

Thanks for posting this. there is something with my own face up that didn't sit well. Now I know how to at leats try and correct it without rediong the whole thing^^.

Hope you love them as much in person as in the pic, and that they get home soon. I'd really like to see Loki and Thor in casual, interacting. Asgardians incognito on Midgard vacations. :P


P.S.: I supouse, if he were mine I would get acustomated, as the Jotun face up is very beautyfull, but the lines under the lip are asimetrical to the rest of the face. Don't know if the make up in the movie was like that, if it's done on purpose or not. But it's screaming at me everytime I look at it. (And now I feel like death the kid, symetry is everything..... jeah right)

 

Glad you guys like him Lucius with the lines I sent several pics to Ticuk and said the markings do vary and I don't want exactly the same as any particular picture. I sent some from the movie and some are art that I liked. I am not sure about the symmetry but in other pics they look more central which is weird. Maybe just a camera angle thing but I will see in person in the next couple of weeks and let you know. I don't really mind either way as I want him to be like Loki from the movie but a bit different too. I would be interested to see your Jotun boys face too. I just love Loki in Jotun form

But none the less he is one of my Lokis, the big and the small share a ... complicated storry, not jet fully written down.
My big boy is waiting for me to stop my cosplay fase and shower him with attention again, well all my dolls do that, but he is planning his revenge while he waits. I should be scared, shouldn't I?

 

Be scared, be very scared! You don't want an angry (or angrier than usual) Loki on your hands! Your little Loki looks great you have done a good job with those markings

So yeah, I think I'll roll around in here for a while~ I don't have a DIM head, but I have a Tom from Natrume's Etsy shop. His neck circumference is 13cm, so it's gonna be tough finding a body with a thick enough neck. Dx

 

Sorry but somehow I missed seeing your comment fleacollar999 i'm glad you like him His heads arrived late this afternoon and I love them. I think I need to trim his long long eyelashes just a bit but he is perfect. I only got to trying one head out before daylight faded. I need to fiddle around a bit more with his wig too. Anyhow here is a pic with his Asgard head on. I will take better ones in the next few days.

Don't worry Lucius I have been Squeeing since he got home! I took him outside today so now you can see what he looks like in better light. I am hopelessly in love with him

 

I've only been able to really view this thread on mobile, but I've been having a blast seeing how things are coming along.

Kavaar I am so in love with that wig, he looks so cool. And that Jotun Loki is phenomenal, I can't wait to see how he comes along.
