1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Discussion thread for DoT E-an and Tender E-an

Mar 10, 2007

    1. The problem is her name, you need to have three letters to be able to search the name, and for sure no -. You should check out the database database to find E-ans database :)

      I agree she is lovely.

    2. E-an is still new enough that most of what's out there for her are people who got the fullset version. But, she *does* have her own database here.

Also, you might want to look in the I-ra forum, as Elf I-ra was the LE that became E-an. :)

    3. I just ordered an E-an, with a peach faceup. She got here and there is glitter in her faceup. I don't have a good camera to catch that kind of small detail, but it's visibly there and quite annoying. I tried to get some off, and it took the faceup off too, so the glitter is in or under the faceup.

I'm just wondering if there's anything I can do short of redoing her face up [as I'm not skilled enough] to get rid of it/hide it. Also, does DOD usually do this with their girl dolls?
I'm looking into different people I can commission for a new faceup, but I thought I'd ask here first, just in case.

EDIT: Sorry if I'm resurrecting the thread, I just wanted to know if this is normal and what I could do, and if I didn't post here I'd probably just make a new thread. This seemed like an appropriate place to ask though.

    4. is I-ra default face-up better?
      or E-an's?

    5. I have a Tender E-an, and her default eyeshadow has shimmer to it (it's silver), but not actual glitter. I think glitter would be kind of garish, and I'm not sure if that's something new that DoD is doing. (I got my Tender E-an almost a year ago.)

I'm not sure what to tell you to do, short of wiping her face completely if it bugs you. :\ Good luck with getting her repainted! :)

    6. It looks like a fine spray of shimmery dust on her whole face, concetrated mostly around her eyes and cheeks.

    7. does e-an only wear half-round acrylics?
can they wear normal round acrylics?
which is better for her? thanks!

    8. Hi!

I have a question. I was wondering y many BJD owners in Singapore is saying that DOD resins are not good.... I am really really into Tender E AN, so i was wondering does owners of E AN faced any problems with their dolls' resins? Like Chipping, defacts (i think i spell wrongly) ..... etc....

Thanks (If this question is being answered earlier can direct me? ^^ thanks)

    9. mychan She can wear regular round acrylics. The ones I have on her right now are 16mm Crystals from Junkyspot :)

fumiyo88 I received my E-an last month and so far so good :D I mean the resin feels sturdy and heavy. The only major problem I've encountered is that the lower part of her right thigh/knee broke off :( But I was probably because of how I handled her >_< and the super heatwave and sudden change in weather that happened recently. Other than that, she's still in tact :)

    10. @fumiyo88:

Again, I bought my Tender E-an over a year ago, but I did have one small issue with her. When I tried to tilt her head back, the back of her head where it meets the neck, chipped off. It's a small chip, but it happened nonetheless. I have heard that I-ra also had this problem, but I'm not sure if they've since redone the mold so that this doesn't happen.

If you really love the mold, buy her anyway. I haven't had any other issues, and I love her to death. If her head -does- chip, it's easily fixed with a little sanding.

    11. I know this threads a bit old, but here's hoping I can get a my question answered anyway.

I'm wanting to order an E-an DoD with the tender E-an head, both with a peach face up, However, it would be nice if I had a second set of the heads to use for doing / practicing custom face ups on.
Do you think it might be worth while emailing the DoD team and asking if they might sell them to me without the body, or shall I just continue stalking out private sellers and hope they pop up?

    12. Well, you can do practice on your doll heads that you have if you are careful. Many people go through 5-10 faceups when they are first starting. As long as you remove it with the proper products, it shouldn't be a problem.

    13. why did you pick e-an over tender e-an? or vise versa
