1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. 1. My dolls are all out on my dresser. The room they are in is pretty dark - I know they'll age but I'm not worried about it. They are like art work to me so I like to see them.

    2. I display my dolls as much as possible... xD I like having them around~ Besides I don't understand the appeal of dolls in boxes since resin yellows anyway even in complete darkness and not all that faster when taken proper care of when they're out...

    3. I just have to be able to see them. I keep them out of the sun, but I feel so bad when I have to store them. Sometimes they stay in their bags, but the box is heart breaking for me.

    4. "Some owners, take a beeeaaautiful doll, ohhh and they hide her away from the rest of the world..." Sorry, but my dolls just want to have fun. :3

They do live in a designated corner (I call it the dolly cave) which is very dark and safe from evil UV rays. I think this is sufficient... Air and just plain age cause them to yellow as well, and a box won't protect them from either of those. I'd rather just have them out so I can enjoy them. Otherwise what's the point?

    5. I couldn't imagine keeping them in boxes, I have my SD-65cm on my mantle and my msd/yosd in my room. I change their clothes monthly and am always making them pose differently or changing their props they're holding.

Even if I had a very rare limited doll I would still display them (even if they were in a case or something). I even display my floating heads xD

    6. I am so paranoid about them getting damaged/stained/dirty etc that I take them out for a few hours when my little girl isn't here (and our kittens are asleep), usually take a few pics and then I carefully take all the clothes, shoes and wigs off and put them back in their boxes. I have no place to safely display them or I would keep at least one out, we have so much clutter (mostly dvd's, weapons, books, statues, random 'things') dotted about the house, that literally every surface has something on it. I'm hoping to get some pukifee's eventually which I will be able to find a space for but even then I may worry too much to keep them out all the time.

    7. I don't have room to display all of my dolls at once so I have some on display and some in boxes. The dolls on display are in a corner of the room that doesn't see direct sunlight, and stored dolls are under the bed, lol.

    8. I'd rather keep my doll out in the open than their box. It feels like a waste if they're always put away!
Although I could see myself storing some away if I ever get to the point where I don't have enough room for all of them to be out...

    9. For me, even though technically I don't have my doll yet, I would be the same way (wearing gloves and having them boxed) because I have a big OCD about keeping things nice and clean. I can't stand seeing things that have a smooth or shiny surface dusty or have marks so I often try to keep my things fingerprint free. lol (I was like that with a lot of my handheld gaming systems. xD)

Also I have four cats so I get really scared about nice things around them, I love them but my cat Loki especially likes to get into things and knock 'em down. >_> So I probably would keep them boxed up for their own safety.

    10. Mine are all displayed on shelves, but they're all covered with drapes during the day when I'm not home to enjoy them.... This keeps them not just protected from the light, but also from dust and airborne soot and the general filth that comes with living in an urban environment.

When I am home on evenings and weekends, I just take off the drapes and bask in their fabulousness. :D I keep them dressed and styled and posed all perfectly on their furniture or stands, so I always feel like I've just dropped in on an extremely cool party that's always in progress.

    11. It's interesting reading how different people interact with/keep their dolls on the daily. I keep mine out as well, sitting on my dresser. I would miss them if they were out of sight. My room is pretty dark, so I'm not overly worried. I've sort of resigned myself to the whole yellowing thing anyway. I do keep my floating heads packed away, though. I think I'm more careful with the ones I'm more likely to sell.

    12. When I lived in the apartment, the dolls all got displayed on my dresser, as far out of the sunlight as I could get them. Now that I'm in a house, they live in the basement for the most part, out of the sunlight but they're still on display. A few of them wander upstairs to keep me company (Loki and Amber are actually sitting on the back of the couch beside me, since they were 'helping' me shop for new clothes and a wig for Amber).

    13. It's kinda embarassing for me as an owner, but I keep my doll in a box until I want to cuddle him a little ._. I'm not a supporter of keeping dolls hidden somewhere, but as long as I don't have any showcase or other relatively secure place to keep the doll in, I think the box is the safest option - sun does not shine and dust does not go there, and there's very little chance that someone could unintentionally harm the doll. D:

    14. This is another reason I keep them safely tucked away, we have 2 kittens who climb on everything and it freaks me out just seeing them near the boxes, I know without a doubt they would knock my dolls over if they were displayed. My husband used to have an obitsu sitting on a tissue box on the table near his recliner and they were always knocking it off so he had to move her onto a bookcase that they usually don't go on.

    15. I keep most of my resins in their boxes (out of sunlight) but the vinyl dolls sits on a shelf over my hobby/work place

    16. I display my dolls in my room out of direct sunlight. I feel that if I spent the money on them, I want to be able to enjoy them as much as possible, even if I can't take them down from their shelf every day. At least I can see them and appreciate their beauty. They are like art pieces to me that demand to be seen :) That being said, I totally get why people store their dolls in their boxes and respect that. I just choose not to do that myself.

    17. I would very much love to display my dolls, and my hope is to eventually have a way to display them safely. However, right now, I do not have the room in my place to display them, so I keep them in their boxes.

    18. mine are out of direct sunlight, but always on display along with my other collectibles. if they arent out where i can enjoy them iwould probably sell them, but everyone enjoys their stuff differently

    19. I don't have many but they are all displayed behind glass. I have only 2 in a box because I don't have a glass display case to put them in. Those two will get rotated in over time. However, if I find that I dont't feel the need to rotate them, then I am selling them. I don't want to have a house full of dolls, just the few pieces I find truly outstanding. Unfortunately, I didnt't learn about using gloves to handle them early on, so hopefully i havent't done any damage to them. At least the room i have them in is a den with no natural light.

    20. I have my tinies on a high display shelf with a cover so they aren't affected by light. The room is quite dark nonetheless but I feel a bit better knowing they're protected with the cover. :) It's win-win because I can look at them without having to 'unbox' them each time, and I don't need to worry about light.
