1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

?
  1. Keep them in the box out of sunlight.

  2. I want my dolls company in the room!

    1. I keep my dolls on open shelves, but those bookcases run along an interior corridor with zero natural light, so technically both poll options apply - they're on display but also out of sunlight. ;)

    2. Mine are always out, though my Lusion Dahlia sits under a pillow case most of the time to keep her from getting dusty. She doesn't fit in the bookcase, and our room gets so dusty I have no choice unless I want to put her in her box, but her box is enormous and not easy to keep at hand. The rest get some some indirect sun at times, though not a lot.

    3. I always dreamed of letting my doll's sit outside the box but I'm afraid of yellowing on my already-yellowed girl. I keep her and my pullips in one box, wrapped up safely in sheets as a cushion, and place the box on the top shelf in my armoire so they won't be stepped on or taken. Maybe one day I'll find a spot for them to sit out~

    4. Mine are almost always displayed, usually with the blind shut. I wouldn't be enjoying them if I locked them away in my closet. To me, that would have been a waste of money!

I do on occasion leave them in their suitcase, because I have a lot of meet scheduled or I plan to take them somewhere. I have six dolls, so packing and unpacking can be a mess.

    5. My dolls are being kept in their boxes right now because of some renos happening at my house, but usually I like them to sit on my bedside table or in the little dolly corner I made them ^__^ I like being able to see them, and seeing how pretty and cute they are. They have so much personality even when I'm not posing them, so it would be a shame to hide them away!

    6. I intend to display instead of keeping the doll in the box.

    7. Mine hangout on a shelf in my room- I do my best to keep the sunlight off of them, but at the same time I'm not very concerned with yellowing. I prefer to have them keeping me company than to being tucked away all alone. C:

    8. My girls have a corner in my bedroom where they have a lounge chair and wardrobe set up where they hang out, out of sunlight.

    9. I try and have as many out as I can but because I have limited space and stuff, I keep the dolls I haven't had the chance to buy clothes, wigs, eyes and completely blank in their boxes.

    10. My office area is far away from the window, so I'm not afraid to have them displayed right next to my work area. ...All five of them! I can't bear putting them away because once I do, I miss them, haha. Perhaps if I get more, I'd be inclined to keep a couple in their boxes due to lack of desk space.

    11. two in boxes and two in my volks bag, i really really hate dust and im prob not that attached i must have them out all the time like i would my anime figures.

i keep 3 without clothes and usually all without wigs so that's also a reason, at lot of the clothes i have contain dark garments, ive already suffered some staining on my DD from leaving a wig on during summer

    12. Mine have their own space in my bedroom. That's the only room were it's nice and dark all the time. I like to have them around :)

    13. I keep them in their boxes right now because there's too much sunlight in my house I need to get curtains -.-

    14. My first hasn't arrived yet, but these are my plans:

I have a VERY small room with a small walk-in closet and a window that almost completely covers the East wall. I'm thinking of either 1. Finding some old thick curtains (I have blinds, but they only filter a tad) 2. re-arranging furniture so I have my dresser in a position where the light doesn't hit, or 3. Devoting my closet to BJD's.

Anyone have any ideas? They are gladly appreciated ^_^ <3

    15. I only have one basic doll, so I normally keep her out on display. I like to decorate my room to look all shabby chic and pastel and cute, so she's dressed in a cute little lolita outfit that matches my decor. :) She's just as much a part of the decor of my room as any of the prints or vases or flowers.

    16. I would try to get some good curtains. In my opinion, keeping them on a box is a little sad.I wouldnt really enjoy them...I like to see everyday my boy on the shelf, sometimes i change his posture. My room is very dark, and he is on a shelf far away from the window too, haha.I think if you care and try not to put them on direct sunlight or near it (or not getting them outside too much) they are fine.Even if you keep them in a box, years will pass the same way...Sometimes things that are locked in closets and such, get really dirty, they use to get yellow in fact.(Lots of toys and playstation gamepads of mine, did).

    17. My girl usually goes back in her case when I am not doing anything with her. I feel like I'm being too paranoid, though -- so lately she's been hanging around out of her case more often, but always in darker rooms. I did leave her perched on a table last night and woke up realizing that she must have gotten some sunlight this morning. Oops. :|

    18. I like to keep my dolls inside my closet
Away from dust, sunlight and even insects
I always worry if I keep them out someone might enter and knock them down by accident so I keep them inside safely and just take them out for photo time

    19. My dolls are out all the time. The only time theyre in their boxes are when I've sold them or I'm travelling. My room is pretty dark and I barely have any direct sunlight so I feel that theyre pretty "safe" from sun's harm. If I had more direct sunlight I'd probably keep them in a box out of sun's reach :)

    20. My house is small and I already collect a different type of dolls that takes a lot of space and they all stand in a cupboard with a curtain!
With bjd being smaller I would like to make rooms for them and maybe a box room for a tiny BJD! But I will have to see how much space I will have!
