1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. My Doll is sitting on my cupboard, dressed and the daylight or sunlight doesn't shine on him. ;)

    2. My doll just sits on my dresser where the sun doesn't shine on him. [emoji106]

    3. Mine are on a bookshelf that doesn't get direct sunlight.

    4. I got my dolls sitting all over my room - I bought them so I can look at them which I can't do when they're all boxed up. They get quite some sunlight, especially in the afternoons but it doesn't bother me. They'll yellow anyways, no matter if I keep them boxed up or not - it just happens faster the way they're sitting. I don't mind the yellowing.

    5. Mine are on shelves (but it's the the darkest corner of the room, farhtest from the window):

They'll probably yellow aa bit faster this way, but I'd rather that than have to sort through a stack of boxes every time I want to play with a doll, and since they'd yellow eventually anyway I'd rather havine them out where I can enjoy them.

    6. Mine are on a Detolf (From Ikea) on the darkest corner of the room too, i don't keep them in their box >__<

    7. Well, the floating heads I keep in their boxes...but my other three full dolls move around a little. I like having them out and being able to reach over to them in the middle of typing an essay or something. My smallest sits on my book self where she's mostly protected from direct sunlight. She has very heavy body blushing so any sunlight that does get her falls on the blushing and hopefully shouldn't get the resin. My big boy moves according to the light - in the morning he sits on my desk away from the sun, then I move him to stand at the base of my bookshelf as the sun moves over. My middle-size boy stands (or sits) on my desk and depending on his location, he sometimes gets the late afternoon sun on his right hand and/or tail (depending on if he's holding a pose or not as well).

    8. For the first week or so, I kept mine in her box. But every time I took her out, it looks like her wig was getting worse and worse. The thought of having to take her wig and wig cap off each time I put her away - and then having to put them back on again - made me decide to keep her out. Besides, I really love seeing her!

    9. I love to have my dolls out and about, I just make sure that there in dark areas away from all my pets. I only put my dolls back in there boxes when I'm away from home for longer periods of time. I love being in the company of my dolls and seeing there beautiful faces throughout the day.

    10. I always keep my dolls in a bookshelf and out of direct sunlight--I don't like the thought of keeping them hidden away in boxes because I love having them around and visible.

    11. as long as I'm in the house they are out with me but before leaving they have their space at my closet it have to be locked so no light can hurt them, i mean there is no point of leaving them to the light while I'm not enjoying them

    12. My dolls are displayed in a cabinet in my room..
And my room has bo sunlight at all
I put dehumidizer so the cabinet is not humid.. (to prevent fungus..)
I put them on sleeping pose, except the 2SD because they are too long hahahaha

    13. My dolls are always sitting on the bookshelf (where the sun rays can't reach them), and even when I don't have time to play with them, it's enough for me to look at them from time to time.

    14. Currently, my girls sit in their boxes.
I really want to put them on display, but I when I try looking for a doll stand to buy for them, they are always out of stock. I want to have a glass case for them as well, which I have not been able to find anywhere unfortunately. :C

    15. I like to have my dolls on my desk with me, so definitly on display! They're always out of the sun because I can't look on my screen if the sun's shining on it. Gotta close the blinds then! I'm not too worried about yellowing, kind of part of the thing. I try to reduce the speed of it but I'd be sad to only have my dolls in boxes I think! I also don't really have enough yet to worry about space. Emphasis on yet. Sigh.

    16. I keep my girl out on display all the time. I have only one window in my room and the blinds and curtain are always closed. Though here in the South it's sometimes difficult to escape the sunshine. :p

    17. displayed ! My SD boy is sitting on my couch, and my Hujoos are displayed on my cupboard.

    18. I'm so glad found this thread. My mom has been keeping her dolls in their box, but I really want to keep them out. It sounds like as long as we limit their sun exposure it should be fine.

Can you do a re-face / paint on them to correct the yellowing?

    19. I collect dolls, not boxes & I want my dolls on display so I can enjoy them. I'm sure that by now many of my dolls have yellowed a bit but none of them have turned unpleasant colors & considering I've been doing BJDs for nearly 10 years now, I don't expect them to be perfectly their original shade.

    20. Thanks Gwydion. Its good to know and I can keep the dolls out where I can see them. We keep a dark blind down in our office, which is where I'm wanting to display them, so it sounds perfect.
