1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do any of you ever feel this way about getting stuff for your dolls?

Feb 3, 2013

    1. hi everyone,

Ive been reading everyone's messages. I love how most of you go into such depth with your dolls. I don't know if I'll ever get to that place but I still haven't purchased my first BJD. I will get a good laugh at myself and share it with all of you when I start purchasing multiples of everything. I remember the same thing with my children....if I'm buying for one I never left the other one out. So who knows!

    2. yeah i suppose they'll have to learn to take turns! That's a great way of thinking about it ^ ^

    3. Oh no! When i grow up and become a father, who's to say the same thing won't happen with me?!
Ahaa i hope I find a way to keep everything fair ^ ^

    4. I actually really dislike buying like, single items. X3 So I'll try to find multiple things I could use for other dolls while I'm shopping. I think it's because I prefer not to spend shipping multiple times!

    5. I wish I was a little more that way... my tiny has two pairs of shoes and my two minis share a pair! I spoil them with different things, but I wish it came out more even.

    6. I've got a lot of dolls. I try to get them to SHARE. Otherwise, fewer clothes and new friends for them!!! :D

    7. I'm guilty of this a bit. Maybe not in wanting to buy multiples of the same item, but I do have the mentality that if I buy/make for one then they all should get something new. It's a bit foolish, it's not like they're actually going to get upset if I only buy something for one of them >_>

    8. Sometimes i feel that way xD especially with clothes i feel if one gets one the other ones should get new clothes to

    9. If it's something I know they won't want to share (it happens), then yes.

    10. I have had my first bjd for a couple of weeks and I am adding to her possessions all the time. I have a collection of other dolls but have never done this before. I really do spoil her and I can't wait to add another bjd doll to keep her company.:)

    11. My dolls have different "tastes", so what I buy for one, the others usually wouldn't want. :P Sometimes, if I buy for one, I feel like I have to buy something for Amir (my first), but other than appeasing Amir, not really. I have over 30 dolls, there's no way I could buy something for each of them every time I go shopping!

    12. I have 4 MSD Girls.. so I was able to build up their clothes in between adding to the family. However I have one girl that is not as girly as the others.. & I do feel guilty when I notice that she does not have as much :sweat

    13. I end up doing that a LOT with clothes for Julian & Ashley, my Bloody Valentine Breakaway twins. If I get an outfit for one of them, I have to get another just like it for the other, because I've always dressed them alike.

    14. phew... im glad im not the only person who feels that way! ;3;

    15. Neh, everyone 'round here mostly has their own style and only gets new things whenever I find something that fits the character. But then it's really mostly just for that one doll, unless I'm getting more to save on shipping. That's pretty much the only time when this happens though, and isn't so everyone will have something new.
Ha, that sure would get expensive quick.

    16. Partly I agree with you! I bought some double things. But normaly I buy just one thing. But when I buy things for my doll, I must buy things for my other doll's too. But I think everyone has that for a bit.

    17. For me it's mainly that they need a certain...Thing. If I make one doll a kimono the others need their own too (nearly all my dolls have at least one and my new MSD boy will eventually get his too), one has a T-shirt the others get T-shirts, one has pants...You get the picture. Only thing I am not consistant with...Is who has how much. My first doll rules the roost, she gets the most clothing because she was the one around the longest but I don't buy for everyone when I go shopping. I don't buy for my dolls often and usually it's props they can share.

Like food...I'm gonna need to get some special sized stuff now for my boy (I've already ironically got a few that'll work for him.) That the others can't really use without it being oversized. He's still part of the crew..He's just the big kid among the littles and he'll have his own things bought for him when I have the money. One rule though: He needs three necessities 1. A wig, 2. underwear (Okay maybe that should be number one..) 3. Shoes...The rest I can make or buy over time. His first set of clothes will probably be oversized AG clothes because they can probably work as lounging clothes.

The other dolls they got pretty much...Everything. My new boy he's a different scale so for now he'll have his dominant place on the throne item wise to so speak.
