1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do you care if other people like your doll?

Feb 9, 2011

    1. I really like it when people do like my dolls, makes me happy! But it is okay if they don't. In the end I buy dolls for me, not for the enjoyment or agreement or opinions of others.

    2. No I don't care about what others thinks. Its my hobby, my interest, my doll.

    3. As much as I really really really do not want to care..
It really brakes my heart when some people say mean things about my doll.
At the end of the day, I just try to avoid negative people.

    4. I don't really care whether people like my doll or not. I just enjoy it for myself but of course it would hurt if someone say out loud in front of me that he/she doesn't like my doll.

    5. Absolutely not! They are my dolls, and I paid for them. I get to enjoy them, even if my husband and friends think that they are creepy. They have their hobbies and I have mine.

    6. Ouch! I know that issue! I have very low self-esteem and when other people tell me they dont like my doll choice or they think they look weird I always feel very very bad! I wonder if I am strange or if my taste is just plain bad.. I guess its neither although I consider myself a little strange, haha. Everyone has different opinions (obviously) and I have learned slowly with time that even if people dont like my dolls, I know that I picked them for a reason and no one else should change my mind about them.. :)

    7. I don't care about what other people think about my dolls
it's something that truly makes me happy and that's all I need to continue in this hobby

    8. Nope. Not at all. It always hurts a little if they don't, but in the end, it's not their doll. It's mine, and I love them very much. Besides, there will always be someone else who loves your doll too.

    9. If you had asked me this question when I first started I would have said "hell no I don't."
But I do. I get upset when people don't like what I've poured effort into creating. It does hurt, and it makes me think my doll isn't worth it and then in turn I start t disconnect that doll.
Then I get over it.

    10. Not gonna lie, but yes, I do care. Not a heck of a lot - it won't make or break my enjoyment of my dolls - but I'd be a bit bummed if my closest friends or fellow hobbyists said it was lame or gross in a sincere way.

That being said, I quite enjoy it when someone not in the hobby gets super creeped out (always with a mention of Chucky) and will chase them around with him. Haha.
