Do you change your doll's wigs and eyes?

Dec 10, 2005

    1. rarely .... when i found a wig that i think looks good at him and he think it looks good at him as well i stick with it until i found another good wig for him :)

as for they eyes never , i'm too lazy to change the eyes since he sometimes does not like me taking off his head :sweat

    2. Yes I do. I love experimenting with wigs :)
But I change eyes quite rarely, unless I want to try a new look on my dolls. Mostly for eyes I stick to only one pair for each doll, the pair that I thinks suits them the most :D

    3. I change them if I don't like them or if I have a certain look in mind for their character. Simple as that, haha

    4. I'm scared to take the eyes out for fear I wont be able to get them back in correctly. Don't want my baby cross-eyed:?

    5. Most definately I change the wig and eyes. It gives a doll a totally different look. I think it would be ok to use hair products on wigs as long as they are alcohol free. I may be wrong, not really sure. What I do is I have a spary bottle with a mixture of 1 part hair conditioner and 3 parts water, mix well then sray it on a fine tooth comb, shake any excess from comb, then style the wig.

    6. yes, that would be my biggest fear, too...

    7. Lol, I do this all the time. xD My doll has like, 7 pairs of eyes and 3 wigs for a reason. >A>

    8. Oh, yes, I would do that! Being able to switch wigs and eyes is a huge plus for me. :)

    9. I intend to buy one wig and one pair of eyes for each doll, but we all know how that works out.

    10. Well, I have one doll whose eyes are just perfect and I probably won't end up changing them (a delf Miyu), but when I ordered my Iplehouse Tania, I really wasn't sure what I wanted. These dolls can be beautiful in so many different styles, why limit mine to one?
I'm searching for more wigs for my Miyu, and Tania already has two wigs and three pairs of eyes. She already has a really natural look and a really outlandish look. We'll see how it goes.

    11. My doll isn't a character, he's just Oliver. And I change his eyes and wigs all the time. It's fun to see how different I can make him look. my other dolls aren't here yet one's in the mail and the others almost on layaway ^_^

    12. Oh yes! All the time :3
I love changing the eyes and wigs of my dolls^^ It's one of the main joys of owning dolls for me.Its so much fun trying different looks, it's almost like getting a new doll.I especially love changing their eyes, I have a nice little jewellry box full of glass eyes.It amazes me how much the look of my dolls can change with a different pair of eyes.

    13. Sometimes I change it. But there are dolls at my collection that are perfect with particular kind of wig and eyes, so, I don't change them.

    14. Hardly, only for photoshoots. I kind of assigned them their permanent eyes/eyecolor, sort of giving them their individuality.

    15. Both of my girls have their "permanent" eye and hair colors as well. Yumeko does have two wigs though -- same color, just different length, so if I want to depict her as shown in my later stories I switch to her long wig.

    16. I've never had a doll come with eyes I like, but typically don't swap eyes once I find a pair I like. Wig, on the other hand...None of my dolls has a permanent wig and I doubt they ever will. Aisling especially loves switching up hair and has three or four wigs while both the guys are still bald. I'm having a really hard time finding the right style/color combos for them. Good thing Fionan is naturally bald. :P

    17. I change my dolls wigs all the time, and i change the eyes according to their mood that day xD

    18. I change both eyes and wigs. I think that's one of the great advantages of BJDs. Recently, I changed my Sooah from a blue-eyed blonde to a brown-eyed brunette. Quite a difference, and I really like it. If I found the "perfect" eyes, then I might not change them; but most always I will change the wig, perhaps not the colour, but at least the style.

    19. I change them when I get them. Actually, I change everything! Faceup, eyes, wig, clothes, I make each doll into a new character. And I have one that "dyes" his hair all the time -always changing his wig!

    20. I've tried, but the doll company already gave me the eyes I wanted, so when I put in another set I though my doll looked weird and unappealing. He also looks weird with hair...or dark hair anyhow. but yeah, what you can do with a wig depends on what it's made of I guess...
