1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do you change your doll's wigs and eyes?

Dec 10, 2005

    1. Me too! I don't get the 'character' thing really, they are what I decide they are, or what I want to try....

    2. I change my dolls wigs and eyes constantly. Actually, when I am looking for a new doll one of my requirements for a sculpt is that they can pull off many different styles and color combos.

    3. Wigs Yes, eyes No, because i'm useless at it . Usually when i send a doll for a face-up, i ask the artist to fit them in for me in the position that i'd like them in and then usually just leave them, as i've tried messing around with eyes before and it hasn't been a pretty sight .

    4. I do change wigs and eyes in the beginning when I'm figuring out their character. But not that much actually. I usually start out with some sort of concept and only get things that go with the concept. Once everything is to my likings things will hardly ever change. I only had one big wig change and a few eye changes as far as I can remember. If would buy a new wig, it would probably be similar to the one I have, I'm into the "character thing" I suppose :)

    5. I change wigs and often find one that I refer to as "a go to wig" basically an everyday wig for that particular doll where the color is great and the style is easy to maintain. But saying that I also love to change wigs to go with a particular outfit. As for the eyes I've left them alone.

    6. on my new doll, my souldoll kanguk, i do, but my first doll, my pipos charlotte, doesn't wear wigs, and her eyes have been put in with a kind of eye putty that I like and I don't have any real reason to change her eyes

    7. I don't change their eyes out all the much, I guess I'm a bit lazy when it comes to that XD However, I do change their wigs more often, especially now that I have more wig options for my dolls :)

    8. ...I change their eyes and hair all the time.
It's part of the fun. Of course, there are eyes and wigs that go better with each of my dolls, and so they end up being their "main" eyes and wigs, but I still change them constantly... Because, to find the ones that better suit each doll, I end up buying many other wigs than I need, and many more eyes than I need, and so I end up with lots of unused ones *_* So I use them anyway, otherwise I would feel guilty for buying them.

    9. Well, currently I've "settled" on eyes for my girls, but I would love to get new eyes next year for Rise :) I love changing their wigs around though, but like Porcelania, they have "main" wigs.

    10. If I had more wigs and eyes, totally.
My yosd has 3 pairs that fit her (kinda) and she switches between them often. My msd boy doesn't change eyes though as he looks best in pupil-less eyes and I only have one pair of those.

    11. I generally don't change either unless the character changes (dyes) his/her hair a lot. Never eyes once I find out what looks good in them!

    12. i love changing them! it creates a whole brand new doll all over again~ its so fun. wish they had this when i was a kid!!!

    13. Jasmine still has her default eyes, but that's only because I was lucky enough to get beautiful blue ones. But once I have the perfect eyes for my dolls, they stay. I don't alternate them. Changing wigs is fine. It's like people can change their hair whenever they want, but humans only have 1 natural eye colour.

    14. I keep changing the wigs of my doll because I like how it affects his overall look with just that one change. Lately, I have been thinking if I should also try changing the eyes.

    15. I have two wigs and one set of eyes. when it come down to it, I would much rather change her wigs than to keep changing her eyes out.

    16. If I was to get a LE with a beautiful LE wig on, then I would most definitely keep it on. But with eyes, I would have to say that I would try many different types to find the best.

    17. Yes when i not busy and have the chance to play with them at least so pretty much and i buy the pack of eyes of variety and wigs too so i share each of my 2 doll female so far so good.
