Do you change your doll's wigs and eyes?

1. Do you change his/her wigs/eyes frequently or do you settle on one combination after you've found out about your dolls personality?
My brood has pretty much settled on their appearances, although sometimes the wigs change. One of my boys randomly decides he dislikes wigs in general and so he goes bald for a bit, and then he likes long wigs for a while, and then a short one... he's picky. But other than that, they're pretty set hair-wise. The eyes have not changed in any of them for a while now as the colours I have seems to be working out.

2. Have you changed the look of your doll and fell out of love with him/her?
Nope. The look has very little to do with whether I love my doll or not.

3. How many dolls do you own compared to the amount of wigs and eyes you have?
Uh... a lot of wigs and a lot of eyes. I'm a total wig/ eye whore. *blush*

 

It depends if my doll is a "character doll" (one of my characters in doll version) or just a doll.
In case of dolls, i've got no problems changing them clothes and such, and if it's a character doll, i only change them eyes/clothing if their looks aren't well enstabilished. otherwise, i don't change them anything unless i want a character restyling.

No, I never change eyes. I cannot imagine my doll with another eyes after I have choosen good pair for him/her.
As for wigs, I change them quite often (as my own hairstyle)

I love my dolls "as is" and all I change is wigs and clothes

3 dolls, 7 eyes (before I've settled up on three pairs of eyes), about 25 wigs (yeah, some of them are already sold and some are - unfortunately - dirty)

I have her in default style and do not want to change her eyes and wig. Only clothing. It's really stupid because I would like Midori see in blonde or red but I can't because she's not Midori anymore..

2. Have you changed the look of you're doll and fell out of love with him/her?Yes,in the past I did. It was a really hard hard lesson! I removed her face up,eyes and wig,give her freckles in red,a whole new face up and after that I've got regret. I had to buy a new Midori head because I wanted to have her old default face up back. I cried for weeks.

1. Do you change his/her wigs/eyes frequently or do you settle on one combination after you've found out about you're dolls personality? It depends on the doll for me. Some stay pretty static. Others get changed up a lot - especially wigs. Wigs are fun and easy to change out.

Well, I usually stick with one combination. I tend to grow accustom to seeing them with their particular wig/eyes, and it just feels weird to see them looking different.

If I did, I'd just use the previous wig/eyes, learning that the look was just not for them. ^^;

Each of my dolls so far have two wigs, and new eyes will be coming soon.

 

I've never changed my doll's hair- I make their personalities before they arrive and they usually stick to it. But my girlfriend changes her doll every hour XD it drives me crazy.

I have a look in my mind for both of my dolls, so once I've accomplished that, I don't think I'll be changing their wig/eyes much (if ever).

I own two dolls. Right now, they both have their default eyes/wig.

I usually pick 1 wig and pair of eyes that I particularly like in a doll and leave them that way for a long time.

No, changing the look of a doll usually renews my interest instead.

I have about a 2:1 wig ratio per doll and a 3:1 eye ratio per doll most of the time, although I'm working on cutting that down, lol.

13, each have around 2 or 3, and eyes... i lost count, but i have a small box of them

Only one doll will change wigs frequently-but she wears different clothes from different centuries and her bright orange red hair just isn't right with a Renaissance gown-so she is getting a variety of styles but staying a redhead. The eyes-once I find the right ones -stay. I have one doll who will have different wigs in the same color when she is her ancestor.

7 dolls 10 pairs eyes, 10 wigs-The spare eyes are acrylics that came with that I haven't given away. One of the spare wigs was a free gift, but the other two didn't work. I will soon have about 6 extra wigs.

I have tons of wigs for each doll, though I tend to stay with a single set of eyes for a doll, once I find "the" pair that works for them.

As for the multiple hair styles...I like to have several looks for a doll. Their persona/personality doesn't change. I just like having a hair style that goes with certain kinds of costumes.

Now sometimes this means different styles. Or different colors. My Andrea has lots of volks wigs. They are all the same style/cut but just in different colors. (Blond, brown, black, etc...) However, my Bobobie Sprite has different wigs that are seperate styles, but all the same color. (She's white haired, and has long hair, short hair, pony tails... all in white) And my Angel Region Ami just has a wide variety in both colors and styles--as does my DiM Sweet Winny, who in all honesty is a complete clothes, shoes and wig whore.

Oh no! If a look doesn't work for a doll, I just change it back.

I have six dolls. But I have quite literally lost count of how many eyes and wigs I have about. Really. The only thing I have more of than wigs and eyes are shoes. So versatility of "look" is hugely important to me. It's what I love about the hobby.

I tend to settle on one combination--especially for my dolls who are pre-existing characters. I have one girl who naturally has dark hair but sometimes dyes it blond, so she has two wigs, but she's one of the only exceptions.

No, it's usually the other way around--I end up changing wigs/eyes because the initial ones I tried weren't quite right. When I hit the right combo and everything clicks into place, that's pretty amazing.

I have some extra wigs--some were defaults that I didn't want to use on that particular character, or I had to buy multiple wigs to find the right one for a difficult character (Liam has left a trail of wigs in his wake). Same with eyes. Right now my eye box is really depleated. I like having extra eyes on hand, since it sometimes takes more than one try to get the right pair for a doll, but it's hard to know what to buy if they're not for a specific person.

- I only have one doll, and I don't change her eyes or wig. 'Cause that's how she looks like in my story. So why would I change how she looks? Haha. But I do plan on getting a doll where I can switch out her wig. Just 'cause it could be fun! 8D
But I don't think I would change their eyes, unless the ones I got for the doll didn't seem to fit. I'unno. Seems odd to change their eyes all the time. XD

- I own one doll.. And two wigs (one of which I messed up and she came with. Lol), and two pair of eyes (the ones she wearing, and the ones she came with). XD

Hmm, lately I've been on a bit of a shopping spree and changing my dolls up a lot. For the last few years, my two dolls have looked the same though (due to my negligence, really )

Never! If I don't like the new do or eyes I placed in my doll, I would just change it back again or change it to a new one.

I have two completed MSD-sized dolls and one SD-sized floating head-- recently my wigs have gone up from two to 7-ish wigs including the ones on my dolls' heads and remained at 3 pairs of extra eyes (5 pairs total). Not that much to be honest-- I plan to sell the wigs if they don't match my doll's character or if they simply do not fit. <_<

I am constantly changing eyes and wigs on my dolls. For me the fun thing about dolls is being able to change them all the time.

Eyes or wigs do not have any correlation to how much I like the doll, as I am always changing them.

I have about 50 pairs of glass eyes in different colors -- mostly unique pupil/iris color combinations. Because of this I am always changing them. I have about 30 wigs and I feel like I still do not have enough variety, I am always looking out for different fantasy colors.

 

When I get my doll ( at Xmas)
I plan to make her w/ diffrent characteristics but If she wants a blue,long, wig to where to the park, then I will let her where a long, blue, wig to park.
As for eyes I will change her eyes to whatever mood she is in then her eys will change.

Hmm. Of the 4 dolls I have, one has her eyes and wig set by now (though she sometimes wears other styles of wig in the same colour), one I think I've settled on a good eye & wig combo but it might still change a bit, one is new and I bought eyes and wig before she arrived, so I think I'll stick with them but might change them after she gets her faceup done, and the other... is a fairy so she has tons of eigs and eyes, and I'll often change them to match different outfits or my other dolls' wigs etc.

No, I think I generally get closer to what I want rather than farther. If I don't like something I bought, it's easy enough to just change back.

Hm. One large doll, one mini, and two tinies.
Wigs: 2 x large, 3 x mini, 6 x tiny
Eyes: 2 x 18mm, 2 x 16mm, 6 x 14mm, 1 x 12mm

So between 4 dolls I have 11 wigs and 11 pairs of eyes... but one doll gets the majority of the eyes and wigs (Clover, one of the tinies)... I definitely want at least another wig or two for her as well. XD;

 

I have a TON of wigs that I've made, but I'll usually not change them very often. (Rufus has the perfect brown wig and piercing blue eyes right now, and Athena makes do with a nice short blonde wig that makes it easy to show off her clothes. ) My Weylin Elf, Firefly gets the most wig changes since he wears more fantastic costumes...

This is a mix. For some, like Faye, Toph, and in the future, Eitan I change their wigs often, and change their eyes occaisonaly. But for Irukandji, I almost never change his wig, but I would if I had more in black, and I only change his eyes to one red bead, but rarely. The same is true for Max(except the eyes. that bead looks scary in Max). They just look strange in other wigs and eyes.

No. If i don't like the way my dolls look in certain eyes or wigs, I would simply change it up untill I found a combination I liked.
