1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do you Google companies you haven't heard of and then regret it...

Sep 26, 2013

    1. I'll go on mad google hunts for dolls (Curse you Images that don't list the sculpt! >w<), and then the pit of my stomach drops as its a limited edition and waaay out of my price range...

    2. i do google the companies but not really ever regret unless the doll is wayyyyy out of my price range then YES! but other then that , i have my ways to find the sculpt or make of the doll:wiggle

    3. I always google different companies and see if I like any of their dolls or not.
      The worst is when I find the sculpt of a gorgeous doll and she is unavailable !!
      French BJD artists are my weakness though. :sweat

    4. I do tend to get in trouble when I start looking around the interwebs. And my wallet and sleep have suffered for it. What gets me are the lesser known emerging artists that you might need to spend hours using google translate to comb through journal blogs and forums to find out more information. I imagine the experience may have been similar in the earlier days of bjd collecting when things weren't as accessible as they are now. It's a fun treasure hunt but my wallet isn't so amused when I do find something special.

    5. This often happens to me with lesser known independent artists that make amazing and unique dolls. Of course, then those are usually very expensive (but rightfully so).

    6. I never regret finding a new doll company (well new to me). The more I know of the better, especially since my tastes are somewhat eclectic and I prefer more unusual looking dolls.

    7. ALL the time....

    8. I refuse to even do that because I have been sorry. So now I just don't bother, I have enough on my plate with the companies I am familiar with!

    9. When you have a wishlist of 20+ dolls you'll prolly never get to own, it makes you wonder why you submit yourself to such torture ; w;. But, I love seeing these strange and wonderful dolls that not everyone owns/knows about. I love the beauty of the rarest treasures.

    10. At this point I need to stop looking up new companies and dolls altogether, because my ever-growing wishlist just can't handle anymore. ;3;

    11. Ugh, Iplehouse...
