1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do you interact with your dolls on a daily basis?

Jul 24, 2013

    1. I play around with them everyday. Sadly I don't have enough time to take pics everyday and I don't cuddle every doll everyday but I play aound with some of them on a daily basis, yes :)

    2. I totally play with some every day, it keeps me sane when I have to work so much. Some get a lot more attention than others though depending on their seating position on my desk ^^;

    3. they're all around me so I look at them, smile and say hi - but I don't like touching my dolls at all so I rarely handle them - it's a funny quirk of mine that I don't like touching or being touched!

    4. No. I don't have time right now because of working two jobs. But I do try to have my Cheshire near me when I'm on the computer in the weekends because it is relaxing.

    5. My poor dolls have been in their boxes for months...We just moved, and we haven't gotten things unpacked and settled enough that it seems safe to bring them out. Plus, the big guy still needs a faceup and body blush, so he's going to be taken to pieces as soon as I get the chance. There doesn't seem to be much point in unpacking them until I have time to do anything with them, so I think they're safer in their boxes for now. I do miss seeing them, though.

    6. I don't feel guilty but sad ;3; they're very special to me after all; so I have them on my desk, a place where I can see them all day long :)

    7. I try to say Hi to them everyday even in the busy day. They are my energy resource :D

    8. No, I don't--sometimes I don't handle them for a month or more. (Except for Max because I constantly have to sit him up straight.) But they are always just kickin' around nearby so I can look at them and smile.

    9. No,.. >____________________________> I have had my doll in the box since 2010... my cousin gave him to me, and since I stopped talking toher, I forgot about him all together. I found him the other day, and decided to take him back out again. After seeing him, it really made me want to buy some new bjd's.

    10. Hm, I don't pick them up or change them everyday (i have too many, it would be like a second job). I do tend to talk to them everyday tho.

My dolls are always out in my living room. I have a whole corner dedicated to them, so looking at them is enough interaction sometimes.

    11. No actually. Since I have them packed up neatly in boxes, it'll be silly to talk to a box. But the boxes are constantly in my peripheral vision so I never forget about them.

    12. No ... unfortunately doll time is pretty limited to weekends, between errands and laundry. Sometimes, though, I'll just look at them and admire them if I don't have time to 'play'.

    13. I don't... See, here's where I confess my dirty secret: One of the other things I collect... is nail polish!

And I have a huuuge weakness for dark colors (and black!), so... There are doll days, and there are nail polish days. And while I might carefully set about some doll-related tasks while my nails are painted... well, more often than not, a fresh manicure means a couple days without dolly cuddles.

    14. Even if it's just as much as straightening a wig or taking some quick snap shots, I always try to do something with my dolls each day.

    15. Not with all of them but I do interact with at least one of them every day, I find that I'm far more settled and calm with a doll around so I tend to carry one of my MSDs in my bag when I do out and have dolls on my bedside table/computer desk/on my lap when I'm at home.

    16. I try to play with them each day, but because of school I can't always, wich makes me feel guilty since she has to sit in her room while nobody plays with her...

    17. When I first started the hobby, I played with my dolls every day. I brought them places and took pictures of them all of the time. Now, I don't really touch them that often anymore. I don't feel guilty about it though because I know that even if I don't mess with them they'll still be there. There are some dolls that I have not touched for months and others that I've played with as recently as this morning. It all depends on if I'm in the mood to play with them or not.

    18. Not every day for me, because my dolls don't have a shelf of their own yet (it's getting built next month !!) so they aren't really on display as I worry about my horribly naughty cat. I do try to take them out and take some pictures or just sort of play with them at least once a day, if not every other day, but I feel incredibly guilty when a day goes by and they sit hidden away. D:

    19. It depends how I feel. There will be days when I will have at least one doll out for display and try to interact with them and some days where I don't put any doll out. Overall, most of the time, I do have a doll out and interact. Otherwise, I will miss them and feel empty without them.

    20. Nope. I look at them everyday, because they are kept displayed in my living room. I only interact with them maybe once every week or two, when I think they need rearranged.
