1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do you interact with your dolls on a daily basis?

Jul 24, 2013

    1. I do NOT keep my dolls in boxes - I spend this much $$$ I expect to see them EVERY day! I always have to fix somebody - often because of my cats (the fur - they leave the dolls alone & move the furniture & pool balls about LOL - but when Harry rubs up against one - usually Rich - I have to get the fur off). I change doll clothes on somebody at least 2x a week - I've got 35 dolls now. Mainly I just watch them! That's my fun :d

    2. I do not, as much as I would like to. I have a little area where I keep them so they "don't get lonely". (Yes, they're dolls, but it's still fun to think of them with personalities and such.) It makes the time I do spend with them more special to me.

    3. I don't constantly physically play with my doll. But sometimes and this might sound weird I will say hello mentally to her or just out loud. I try to once in a while out of spontaneity take her to class. But she makes a big impact when I do and then I get loads of questions about what she is or why I brought her. Once in awhile I will redress her and take a photo shoot with her in the back yard.

    4. actually no... because I have pets..( a cat and a dog)... I usually just take photos for dolls when new outfits arrive...

    5. No, I don't even look at them every day, and I do not feel guilty about it at all. Why would I? They certainly do not care about it and there is no point in handling them daily when I just don't feel like it / do not have the time.
As long as I always do come around in the end to work on, play with and customize them, whenever that might be, having them is worth it to me.

    6. I don't spend much time with my dolls as I wanted to - I got some other things on my mind. Great most of my daily activity with my girl is to touch up her hairs and say hi :P

    7. I don't, but I wish I did. I want to spend more time with them, but sometimes I actually "forget" to. I always tell them goodnight tho! ^_^

    8. Usually, yes, even if it's just to change their positions a bit or to change out accessories. Or just picking them up and admiring them.

    9. All my dolls except the one and her pet doll are in a closet behind my boyfriend's computer right now, in their boxes. If I want them out, it requires some doing so I don't get them out a whole lot.

I have the one that's not in there in my bathroom closet where I can get to it better. I tend to take a lot of pictures of her and have been working on her outfits recently so I need her in a better spot.

I really just need a bigger place where I can find a better spot for the dolls. I like being able to get at them even if I can't have them out due to my cats.

    10. Maybe if i would have more time i would be doing that. As for now i'm trying at least one time in week to take care of their hairs, accessories, posing etc. And yes, since they represent some of my charaters from roleplaying sessions i must admit sometimes i'm talking to them :o

    11. I do look at them and appreciate their beauty but that's about the extent of it daily. They're always in view in my room and I love them to bits, but I'm frequently too busy to devote a lot of time to them. And no, I don't feel bad about it; I feel bad when I neglect my family, friends, and pets, but not my dolls.

    12. No and no. I don't necessarily "interact" with them daily (I pass by them on my way in and out of my bedroom, as their shelf is near the door, and sometimes I'll reach over and tweak the pose on one of them when I do that, but that may be the extent of what a given doll experiences for weeks at a time). And I don't feel the least bit guilty over it! My cat is the one who gets daily interaction and feelings of guilt (when I'm out of town, there's no ignoring him when I'm home); the dolls aren't alive and can wait.

I barely touched them at all for about two or three years, in fact, and had them all boxed up and in another city for three months when I was transitioning from one state to another. I felt no guilt at all for having them stored, just relief that they were stored somewhere safe where the elements and accidents were unlikely to affect them. (I was glad to see them when I unboxed them, but it was still almost a year from that point to when I properly rejoined the hobby.)

    13. I interact with my dolls everyday even if it is just to look at them they give me a great feeling of peace and joy!

    14. I miss mine when I can't see them, so I keep them all on the bed. I don't interact/play with them every day, but I always say good morning and good night, and I make sure they're in comfortable-looking poses before I leave them for the day (no wigs off or feet twisted around backwards). On weekends I always spend time with them, even if it's just combing everyone's hair or something. And because most of them are characters in my novels, when I'm writing or editing they have to be present and in costume =)

    15. I try to though life is so hectic and busy it's difficult. I don't take pics as often as I would like to. I will endeavor to have some type if contact with them everyday. That's one of my goals for this year.

    16. No I work all the time I try to interact with them at lease every other day. Sometimes I'm so busy that feel a little like I'm abandoning them. When that happens I let them sleep on my bed for so long it ranges from 2 days up to a few weeks at a time. Then I have to bring them out shopping because most of the time their still upset with me. After the shopping trip that could rage from food to clothing or even a fabric store to get new material to make them happy with new stuff.

    17. Nope I have not look at my dolls for years... I look at my old pictures and be sad that I could not do anything with anything since my real life is crazy LOL LOL

    18. I absolutely love repositioning and posing my dolls! That said, I don't really feel bad if on any given day, I don't touch them. I get plenty of joy out of looking at them, as well.

(Lately I've been interacting with them a lot because I've been sewing for them. Hehe)

    19. No, I don't play with them much during the week. But on week ends they come out to play and I usually sew somebody a new outfit.

    20. I do, everyday after work and on weekends.c: a change of clothes, fixing her hair/changing wig, etc. And take snapshots for instagram, little things like that.^^ what I am guilty of is not having enough legit shoots of my girl with a proper camera. Doing that takes a big chunk of time out of my day, and I do not always have time to set everything up and make it perfect (not to mention the editing that comes after the shoot). I also prefer shooting with natural lighting so that's another thing keeping me from doing it as often as I'd like.:c
