1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do you interact with your dolls on a daily basis?

Jul 24, 2013

    1. I don't. I have my dolls displayed so I see them every day, but I don't often interact with them.

    2. Yes, I do say hello and goodnight, or just make some effort to play with my doll daily. I'd feel really guilty if I didn't, no idea why...

    3. I feel a little crazy, but I need to look for them at least once a day.
Sometimes I change their clothes depending on the weather cold or hot.

    4. I pretty much interact on some level every day. I need to touch, love, or play with them every day. My BF has tweo and he loves how they look but rarely touches them.

    5. Yes I do and it may sound pathetic but it's definitely because I get lonely. My boyfriend has a problem where he can just forget that I exist even if I am in the room or if I talk to him so I interact with my doll everyday. I don't talk to it or anything but just having him around makes me a little less lonely and I can feel the difference if my doll isn't out. It isn't human interaction but the hobby (and my other hobbies) lead to human interaction. xD

    6. No... unless eye, wig and clothes window shopping counts as interacting. But I do see them frequently, especially after a hard day.

    7. I work a very technically and physically challenging job at a facility that manufactures nuclear fuel rods. It is very exacting work. When I leave I am usually quite tired but also have 12 special needs cats to care for at home and two elderly dogs. I also volunteer with two local cat rescues so have to take my turn feeding and making sure the animal's needs are met. I have to be in bed by 8 pm in order to rise and do it all again before I leave for work at 6 am the next day. In addition I have to make sure my elderly parents are ok. Rarely do I get to interact with my dolls everyday but try to on my days off after all my chores and volunteer work are done. But I think about them all the time.

    8. I don't play with my dolls every day, but do seem to have a need to see them throughout the day. I used to have them out on display in my living room and was able to see them constantly. But I started getting concerned they might be getting too much light, so I moved them onto a shelf behind a curtain. I find myself going over several times a day to peek behind the curtain at them, even if I don't touch them.

    9. My dolls sit on a shelf in my room, where I spend a lot of time. I don't always touch them but I can say that I often stop what I'm doing just to look at them on a daily basis.

    10. I spend a lot of my day on the computer, between online college courses and personal projects, and my dolls are always on the dresser right behind me, watching me go about my day. I suppose they've learned a lot about me, haha. Every now and again I'll get up and pose them, comb their wigs, et cetera, but most of the interaction happens when I have the free time to take one down and out for a photoshoot or sew some more clothing. So I wouldn't say it's a daily thing, but it's definitely often, and even when I can't interact with them I always appreciate that they're right there for me.

    11. I don't interact with my doll daily, but I do get him out to look at him when I feel the need to. He's stored safely in his 5SD box in my parent's house while I'm away living at college, so I only get to see him when I come home. I'm too scared to bring him with me to college because I'm afraid he'll get broken or stolen. Plus I think my roommate thinks I'm a little odd already with my many little cheap plastic figurines adorning my desk and my Marvel and DC posters on my walls. xD;

    12. I'm new and I'm still waiting for my first doll, but I hope I'll have time for him everyday. In the worst case he can sleep in my bed so we can talk a bit before we go to sleep. XD

    13. I would absolutely love to because doing so brings me so much happiness, but as someone with OCD that can flare up at the worst of times, it's not always a possibility since BJDs can't exactly be scrubbed down, at least if you wish to keep... well, everything about them intact.

    14. They sit right next to my computer (on my scanner/printer, to be exact) so I occasionally pose them for fun. Aside from that, I don't mess with them much.

    15. I try to interact with my dolls every other day or so. If I spent the money on him, I'm going to make time for him in my life. I know he's an object, but stuffed animals, dolls, etc have always been family to me; always. Like, if I get lonely I'll pick him up and brush his hair, or sit him next to me on my bed while I play my games on the computer. I do feel bad when I don't spend time with him, because when I'm lonely he makes me feel better.I treat him like family, even if he is a doll.

    16. I definitely don't play with them everyday, I wish I did, but life get's in the way a lot of the time. They sit on my bookshelf looking amazingly cute and watching me pass by as I get ready for the day, I always look at them and smile knowing they're there whenever I need them. I do feel bad when I go more than a couple days without doing anything with them. I do think about them often while I'm out and wish I was at home taking pictures of them. If I could go to a dolly meet everyday with them, I would. :)

    17. I'll brush Estellise's hair every now and then or fuss over how Ciel's wig sits but apart from that, not really. I'm trying to take a photo every week and play with them more but work just leaves me too drained :C

    18. I don't play with them every day, unfortunately I have a little time for my hobbys (work, kids, etc) But I see them several times every day as they are sitting openly on the bank at their special large shelf. And everyday I have a minute to come closer to the guys, touch every nose and say hi to them, otherwise they look sad:)

    19. I hug him every day:XD:

    20. No unfortunately not.^^" There are days I do a lot of stuff with them and days I don't do anything at all. Really depends on my mood and my daily schedule (if I'm really busy I don't find the time, even if I wanted to)
